I want to know how basically a typical school day is like in poland if your 17 years old, and how I will be accepted over there as an American.

how I will be accepted over there as an American.

They'll love you, especially the women;)

High school life in Poland is fairly similar to the US: parties, sports, homework etc. I think Polish students have more homework per night than their US counterparts though. Polish students seem to have less money as well.

My old highschool (in Warsaw) takes part in student exchange programs, I went to New York couple of years ago. It was pretty much the same for me, as far as the school life goes. I had the advantage of attending to a bilingual school, so I was used to having classes in English. People are more or less the same everywhere:) Your situation is propably slightly different, not speaking Polish and all, but not to worry. Vast majority of 17-year-olds speak English (especially in big cities), You will be just fine. The biggest difference is that, while playing football here we tend to use our feets:)
