I don't fully agree. There was strong sexual selection in Polish females, that's why they are so beautiful. Polish men are damn ugly bastards. This contrast proves that they evolved as a nation.


I don't see it racist. Slavs are not a race even. And I am just trying to figure out the whole Slavic movement in our heads. In regards to not liking some PF members, this is not true. If there was no controversy on PF I would create one, otherwise, I am out.

Hi, new member here. My great grandparents fled partitioned Poland in the early 20th century and ended up near....Pittsburgh.

Slavs have a few things in common. Slavs hold grudges. That goes for Slavs in Europe and Americans of Slavic descent.

I don;t fully follow your reasoning here... anyway, Polish women, and men, are of all shapes and colours, in reasonable limits. Ukrainians are more uniformed, as are Germans, the English, Italians, etc.


No such thing as a full Pole. Everybody could dig out some foreign ancestor, and let's not forget that the nation wasn't really formed until somewhere near Renaissance.

Come to think of it, I vaguely recollect such experiments being done... on numerous occasions even... so you've hit the nail in the head, yes. The common Slavic thing is that deep conviction, based on a long and extensive research, that we truly know what being Slavic means, since we must've seen it so many times with our own eyes! :)

Quite frankly, me either. But basically I wanted to draw the comparison with nature where you see beautiful males vs unconspicuous and "boring" females. Usually, high differentiation occurs due to selection within a given species, but in Polish case it is the opposite way, but still it would indicate that they evolved as a unique group. It is not supported in any way and is not indicative of anything, but I just made a little hypothesis out of it :)

We are more intelligent, of course! Look at the Soviet Union. Despite what you think of Soviets, they were the first nation to send people and objects into space! Quite technologically advanced, they were.

Ok, let me teach you a bit about Soviet Union, PP :)
The Soviet Union was not a nation.
It consisted of 15 republics, majority of which was not Slavic.
They sent more people into concentration camps than space.

Sometimes, the roots are the burden; sometimes, they are an inspiration. In any case one has to scrutinize one's root to find out the past. Without determining one's origin and what it means for a given person, it is difficult to move in a world full of lost identities. For me it is not enough to belong to a species, I want to be more precise in knowing who I am. And I bet others would like that too. What about you, guesswho? Also, being a good guy and sometimes a bad guy I wonder: does it have to do with my Slavicity or it is just normal humanity? :)

When it came to outer space, they were. No denying it. We Americans took some cues from them. And it was slavs who pioneered the Soviet space program. You hate the Soviet Union, I realize, but that doesn't discount the fact the soviet slavic scientists were able to manipulate matter and gravity to the point they could get satellites and stuff out there.

Those Russian scientists knew their stuff, they were slavs,therefore smarter than average.
Because of slavs, we will one day venture into interstellar space. I am very proud of this fact.

If you mean that to starve to death and make poor and scared 120 million people in order to put their earned living into a group of scientists who were afraid to end up in the concentration camps as well means that they are above average, then excuse me, you are right.

It was the crappy government that did it, not the scientists. The scientists were the cream of the crop. They were much more advanced than everyone else at the time. I am talking about the space program and the scientists, not the soviet government and it's rotten policies.


If it wasn't for the SU space program, America wouldn't have been so driven to put astronauts on the moon and determined to build probes seeking out other planets, learning more about the solar system. It was a fierce competition between the two countries that resulted in new industry and breathtaking technological advances.


I don't want to live in a soviet run country, are you kidding me? I just admire the scientists who pioneered technology that has benefited the search for new worlds.

How tough is it to make a rocket that will be in a space for a few minutes. What an achievement! For money and lives they wasted they should have invested more knowledge into medicine and disease cures - this is an achievement, indeed. Other countries were investing money into various fields, while the retarded Union invested billions in a few scientists who sent a rocket into a space. If this is intelligence, ...

Good is questionable state of being. You might be good in your own eyes and your close relationships, but bad when viewed by other people. The standards and the perception of YOU varies.

But when you are talking in absolute terms, I am good, no matter who tries to perceive me or the rich world inside me. No one can challenge that without facing miserable defeat :)

That's where you are wrong. EVERY ethnicity has a share of dumb. And, if you deny it - you are not living in reality.Not everybody everywhere is educated, not everybody everywhere has the same experiences you did.
