Polish jurors gave 12 points to Switzerland, which did not receive a single point from viewers around the world. Something is not right here. 🤷‍♂️

The Austrian one was OK, if unsophisticated. The Polish one was as usual desperately bad, the Dutch one depressing and the Swedish one looked as if the singers were geography Teachers.

Something is not right here

Bribery probably.

Nah, come on, didn't you watch the voting? The juries' votes and the viewers' votes were quite different in general.

That's often a sign of that.

@jon357, so all juries were bribed according to you? lol By Austria? ;D In public vote Israel won massively, so that was clearly a sympathy vote. In juries vote Austria won. My conclusion is - the public voted with their hearts and the juries with their ears (+ the typical Eurovision geographical sympathies, of course). 🤔

all juries

Hard to know what dank crevice you pulled that one from.

@jon357, you don't have to be so rude and crude :)

So, do tell which juries were bribed, according to you, considering how much the public vote and juries vote differed in general, not just in Poland :)

@Paulina
And you don't have to try to put words into people's mouths.

Eurovision this year was fairly dire. It's good that the semi-finals boot out some of the worst ones, however they were always the most amusing.

And you don't have to try to put words into people's mouths.

Jon357, I wrote that juries' votes and the viewers' votes were quite different in general. That means many juries (or maybe even all of them, I don't know) voted differently than the public. And your comment to that was "That's often a sign of that*." (*of bribery). That's why it looked like as if you suspected all the juries that voted differently than the public of being bribed. Is that your claim?

Bribery probably.

Cyber messing with the televote would seem more likely... weaponized geeks vs a single system vs the complicated process of bribing lots of people in lots of countries...
I'm not saying that's what happened (probably didn't) but that seems like a more likely scenario.

Just read about the public vote (didn't watch it).....full 12 points from Germany....and also from Britain!

....Israel received 12 points from audiences in Azerbaijan, France, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Portugal, Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Australia and rest-of-world votes. Additionally, Israel received 10 points from audiences in Ireland, Cyprus, Finland, San Marino, Norway and Czech Republic....

So, the public in most of Europe is clearly pro-Israel....contrary to what some govs say and some fanatics wish.....and I take back what I said yesterday and declare the contrary, heh:)

PS: I also read some commentator that most are secretly quite glad about the second place, otherwise the next Eurovision would had to take place IN Israel next year....a security nightmare....and a political one too....

I'm not saying that's what happened (probably didn't) but that seems like a more likely scenario.

There was a case of something like that; and of course the public vote can be skewed by large numbers of people in one country who are from another. A few years ago, the UK popular vote was for a particularly dire entry from Poland. This was post-2004. Also, plenty of votes in Spain for the UK and Germany.

all the

Often isn't all. There have however been cases of coruption, some suspected, some confirmed, over the decades.

So, the public in most of Europe is clearly pro-Israel..

Or those of the public who a. watch Eurovision and b. make a point of voting.

As always....it seems Gaza played a bigger role than Ukraine, this year!

Doesn't matter who votes, but who is counting those votes. They should change the system.

Given EV musical level that counts should be about the crappiest song.

That would make it more interesting.

Are we talking about a political debate or a singing competition?

EV show with its voting system is just a big con perfected over the years. It is like the EU, no matter what you put in -- the result is always the same.

Half an hour later and I know enough...Quoting:

There are some fierce queer competitors among the 26 acts competing in this weekend's Eurovision grand final.

JJ is an azzfvcker...confirming the rule that if it's Euro it's sick.

It's not that he likes fvcking azz...It's that it is public knowledge. That idiotic ring in his left ear is his business card and a ticket to fame...

So much for our rule over Europe! :)

Yep. Someone that would actually sell copies and pack concert halls.

Much of the EV stuff is basically working men's club cabaret or its foreign alternative.

Yes, you are at the bottom where it doesn't matter.
Whilst in the EU, you always have your way.
Such a trick is not funny.

and you should love it...

Why? I don't care, you seem to be working under a misconception that I hold some kind of grudge. Let me assure you one more time that I'm not that sentimental.
