All political and judicial matters pertaining to the governing of a nation state remain the sole competence of a nation state.

Not really. A country must implement EU directives and must abide by EU laws.

In the areas of competence that the nation states have agreed, by treaty, to cede to the EU.

That's why the EU can't direct and/or legislate that Hungary has to support Ukraine and not Russia, as one obvious example.

Not quite, but of course Hungary has to observe sanctions against Russia, so they could hardly do that and support them at the same time - and there is an EU common defence policy (except for Ireland, we have an opt-out).

Trzaskowski commented on the positive changes in the state media:

When asked in turn about the situation related to TVP, whose authorities have been dismissed and its headquarters are "guarded" by PiS politicians, he replied: - This is the day of Polish democracy celebration, because PiS propaganda outlets that were simply destroying Polish democracy, spreading hatred, manipulation and lies, have been closed. And they did it with taxpayers' money.

As he added, "I am extremely happy that TVP Info is no longer there." He recalled that he had been trying for years "to put an end to these lies" and for TVP Info to disappear from Polish TV sets in this format and "stop poisoning us." - We can only be happy about it. This is a fantastic day, he said.

- If we see people who destroyed freedom of speech in Poland, who tried to liquidate free media, who poisoned the minds of Polish women and men with manipulation and lies, and today they talk about themselves as those who defend freedom of speech , it is simply a farce, a joke and frivolous. This is the chuckle of history - commented Trzaskowski.

The latest trust ranking:
Rafał Trzaskowski is at the top of the ranking for the second time in a row. In March, 48.8% of people trust the Mayor of Warsaw. (22.1% definitely, 26.7% rather). Currently, 38.8% of people have a negative opinion about the politician neutral 11.8 percent.

That is why he is going to win the presidential elections next year.

In the photo we can see the future President of Poland Mr Trzaskowski and Mr Honourable Prime Holy Minister Donald Reverend Tusk celebrating the victory of their party in the EU elections.

Congrats!!!

More, more!!!!

PS. Victory signs like in Solidarity times when democratic opposition fought against communists. Today these heroic politicians struggle against homo sovieticuses supporting PIS and pro Putin nationalists from Konfederacja.

It would come as a big surprise if Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk didn`t put forward Mr Trzaskowski as the candidate for presidency. Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk`s party has conducted a few polls and Mr Trzaskowski is the most promising candidate of all. Second in the race, Mr Sikorski, has a big negative electorate.
Besides, Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk reads this forum and realises Trzaskowski is better than Sikorski.

Warsaw. That's where the worst world-war-loving morons congragate.

Warsaw - the most patriotic Polish city ever. Nazi Germans complained that if not for Warsaw, they would have 90% less problems with restive Poles/Polesses during WW2.
Glory to the Indomitable City and its Mayor, future President of Poland.

Second in the race, Mr Sikorski, has a big negative electorate.

Despite this fact, Sikorski is rocking the boat in the party to be nominated as a candidate.
That is why Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk has announced internal ballot for the party members.

Here is an opinion by a KO politician I fully agree with:

I have great respect for Radek Sikorski. We are all glad that he returned to Polish politics a year ago and is a really big reinforcement of our government. However, we have been cooperating with Rafał Trzaskowski in a large group for five years and we have a deep sense that we have to finish what we started in 2020.

- With great respect for Radek Sikorski, I believe that the best solution for the Civic Coalition, but above all for Poland, is to choose a person who has been very consistently preparing for the role of the president of Poland for five years.

On Saturday, many other KO politicians already declared on social media who they would vote for.

other KO politicians declared

Some of them mentioned US politics. Amasing!

Among them is the deputy chairman of PO and deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk . "I highly value both candidates. We have known each other for years. I will vote for Rafał Trzaskowski. President Trzaskowski, Prime Minister Tusk, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sikorski. This is a dream team," he wrote.

KO MEP Dariusz Joński spoke in a similar tone , writing about the "Polish security trio". He wrote about Trzaskowski that "he has the gift of connection and dialogue". "This is what the president of Poland should be like for the next 5 years", he added.

Trzaskowski is also supported by the mayor of Kraków, Aleksander Miszalski , a former KO MP. "For the first time I regret that in Poland we do not have an American system in which Rafał Trzaskowski and Radek Sikorski could run together. We have two great candidates, but there can only be one President. Good luck, Rafał Trzaskowski," he said.

should

No, shouldn`t. His English is much worse than Mr Trzaskowski`s. Additionally, he is too aggressive. Poles/Polesses don`t like such types. Simple. Ha!!!

His English is much worse than Mr Trzaskowski`s.

Pawian, a lesson in comparatives and superlatives is in order for you. Tut, tut. Whatdoyou teach your students? In English, something can only be worse than something which is bad.

Mary's Polish is bad but Ann's Polish is worse.
John's Polish is good but Paul's Polish is not as good.

Trzaskowski's English is actually good. Therefore the other geezer's English 'is not as good as'. If you want an equivalent of 'much worse' you would have to say 'nothing as good as' or 'nowhere near as good as'.

Now you say something a bit smart-arsey but in reality you will stow this piece of information away with all the other little treasures of English that I have gifted you :)

'nothing as good as' or 'nowhere near as good as'.

Or not 'nearly as good as' :) Loads of alternatives - you're welcome ;)

Actually, not stove but shove it into certain place the name of which I won`t reveal out of respect for this precious thread. hahahaha

Hey, btw, can you provide a 2 sentence summary coz I looked through your typical gibberish without paying too much attention and only focused at the end??? What exactly was your point?

Stow, dear acolyte, stow.
