Are you guys even Polish ? Johnny doesn't seem like a Polish name --yet you fiercely defend Poland in the comments.

I'm American but i study in Poland.

You made yourself sound really stupid. It shows how little you know about America.

Erm, you do realise we're talking about Poland, don't you?

you fiercely defend Poland

Makes a change from accusations of 'polonophobia'!

Now stop trolling and run along.

Yes, but it does shows how little you Europeans know about America. You acted as if Poland was the only country in the world to have nude beaches... when in reality...we have hundreds of nude beaches across the USA.

Poland was the only country in the world to have nude beaches

Really? Why not read some of your posts. Which are suggesting topless bathing is illegal here and that Poland is somehow backward. One might even wonder what your interest is in Poland. Except trolling of course.

Now run along and play on the railway track. There's a train coming in a few minutes.

Swearing and nudity is almost always censored on Polish TV. But i am wondering why ? Why is sunbathing topless so taboo and illegal in Poland ?

Well i wish i could find some articles about Polish women sunbathing topless ...but sadly Polish girls don't go topless for fear of harassment and fines.

simply: there is plenty of swearing on Polish tv. there is more bare flesh than on british tv and certainly more than on american tv.

we do have nudist beaches, although not too popular at this time of year.

the thing is that Polish people don't make an issue out of it. excecpt for the occasional case.

I am simply offering my perspective as an American and sharing my knowledge with you

Your knowledge landed in bin so far. Guess what does it mean...

like Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, or Turkey

Have you been there or just guessing? If Russia is not a secular country then I don't know what it is.

Washington DC on August 21st organized by the GoTopless movement.

Why? Is it illegal in there?

A single state in America has more nude beaches that all of Poland =]]]

Probably because average American state is bigger than Poland. I must say you are a real brainiac, what university are you at?

California has a population of 38 million people and over 30 nude beaches. Poland has a population of 39 million people and only like 2 nude beaches. Even the smallest American states still have more nude beaches than Poland.

Actually the Usa is aproximately 30 times the size of the Poland. Considering thier are aproximetely 96 nude beaches across the Usa. And unless I read this wrong there is 6 in Poland. Percentage wise Poland has more beaches per sq km.

Funny that you live in a state that does not allow nude sunbathing. MuHAHAHAHAHAHA

Pain in the ass for somebody who apparently is sex and titts crazed.
Mike why not start this crusade in your own state

Nudist beaches aren't popular in Poland, even during the summer. Sunbathing topless is still taboo in Poland. I've lived in Poland since last summer and never seen a topless woman at a beach in Poland.

America has 50x more nudist beaches than Poland. The most famous nude beach in America is Black Beach, California. It's attracts around 50,000 nudists every year to the Burning Man Festival. Search it on YouTube.

simply: there is plenty of swearing on Polish tv. there is more bare flesh than on british tv and certainly more than on american tv.

HAHAHA you wish. I watch lots of Polish TV and i always hear "beeeep". Even programs rated 16+ in Poland censor swear words and nudity. Only light swear words are allowed on Polish television.

"kur(beeep)" "je(beeep)" "ch(beeep)" "spier(beeep)". "gow(beeep)" HAHAHAAH

Here is a Polish TV show about topless protesters from Ukraine. Why are the nipples censored though??? You Poles so offended by the sight of a nipple??? They completely blurred the nipples=[[

vimeo.com/34556229

Here is another video from TVN24 about topless sledders in Germany. Again, the nipples are censored. WHY ???? You Poles are uptight about a topless woman.

The USA being upheld as a example of liberal attitude to topless sun bathing. I've heard it all now.

In France you can go topless on all beaches and it has a hell of a lot more beaches than 96.

Lots of other countries in Europe have similar attitude, you don't need a nudist beach because its not restricted anywhere.

Again, you're wrong. We have 5 nude beaches in Michigan. We love public nudity in Michigan. Here is a news video about the famous "Naked Mile" in Michigan that happens every year. The movie "American Pie" was based off this. Again, i bet this wouldn't be allowed in Poland =]]]

I find it funny that you live in a country (Poland) that does not allow public nudity or sunbathing topless at public beaches.

you haven't seen topless women on the beach because until you started posting you had no idea where these (topless) beaches were.

Search it on YouTube.

no need. like i said, for the most part most Poles couldn't give a damn about nudity.

Public nudity is illegal in Michigan, so places for social nudity are limited to clubs and organizations with private land. These include:

Turtle Lake Resort in Union City.[83]
Northaven Resort in Brooklyn[84]
Cherry Lane Resort in North Adams[85]
Forest Hills Club in Saranac[86]
Spruce Hollow Campground in Mesick[87]

There are no nude beaches in Michigan I know this because my sister in law is a nudest and left Michigan and now lives in West Virginia in a clothing optional community.

Mike, boy, are you really proud about US's TV swearing topping Poland's TV swearing?
Do you know why the BEEP thing has been introduced?
You know, in USA, there is more swearing on TV. In PL, there is more swearing in real life. Even educated, rich Poles use to say Kur*wa and Pierdo*le, more filthy language then black gangsta in US.

The law against it, there was the time when celebrities in Poland used to earn cool points by talking kur*wa and ch*uj every second sentence. I kid you not. Even if it was supposed to be high brow movie, or literature critic.

Just try to imagine that Oprah Winfrey starts to drop F-bombs.
The law against the cursing in TV, it was created to curb this fashion.

So how many beaches have banned topless sun-bathing? In Europe I'm not aware that its banned anywhere.

Mike, boy, are you really proud about US's TV swearing topping Poland's TV swearing?

You're making me laugh now. You Poles hardly use swear words (even in public). In America, the word "fu*ck" is very common. I hear this world like 2000x a day. My professors back in Michigan always said "fu*ck" in front of the classroom and no one cared.

Most American movies these days use the F-word over 150x per movie. I actually find it annoying that every sentence people say "fu*ck". But it's become normal talk in America to talk like this. Here is song by lady gaga and it says "f*ck" over 30x in the song ...

Even our Vice President, Joe Biden, said "This is a big f*cking deal" on national television to Barack Obama in front of millions of viewers. No in America cared. It's common language of politicians and everyone.

This is stupid though. Why are we honestly arguing over something like this ?

Population has nothing to do with amount of beaches. More the lenght of the coastline.

Funny you say that considering 95% of Poles say they "believe in god" and 49% of Poles say they "attend church once a week". You're country is backwards.

Catholic Church doesn't oppose Darwin's theory. Believing in God is not against it as well. So? What's your point? I don't see it anywhere

You're country is backwards.

A pure example that user MikeUSA is a troll. Besides that he cannot write a simple sentence correctly. Who gave you a high school diploma?!

Nudist beaches aren't popular in Poland, even during the summer. Sunbathing topless is still taboo in Poland. I've lived in Poland since last summer and never seen a topless woman at a beach in Poland.

Why would they want to show you their breasts? I wouldn't.

Then you don't watch Polish movies. In Polish movies they don't bleep the curses. In programmes yes they do, but they do it on American programmes as well.

Here is a Polish TV show about topless

Watch seksmisja or kingsajz or whatever and stop trolling.

You Poles hardly use swear words (even in public)

To be honest there is no finer use of language than an aptly put swearword in the right place. A gentlemanly swear. Not a tirade of barley understandable expletives.

My professors back in Michigan always said "fu*ck" in front of the classroom and no one cared.

Effin and blindin in a willy nilly way is ridiculous. Poles swear plenty. They just do it in a more refined way.

First of all this is nothing to be proud of. Second there is plenty of censorship on American TV. You have to have cable TV to view non censored material. The reason why the F bomb was not censored is because no one in thier right mind expected a public figure to do it. And yes I was outraged so don't speak for all Americans. And Lady gaga's song is not played on the radio in its origional format either... the radio is getting a lot more liberal however.

Actually have you guys noticed that in Polish movies when a female body is shown it is shown in a full light, while on American movies if a couple having sex they give a shade on female parts?

...Americans are so stupid

We don't have any proof that he/she is an American and even if he/she was it is not enough to stereotype over 300 milions of people.Whoever spent some time in the US knows very well that there is no point to argue with MikeUSA because he is full of **** and is either saying blatant lies or simply twisting facts.

90% of wat i can read in this forum are stereotypes about poland and poles.and?

Yes but is it fair to stereotype all Americans because of one who can't intelligently make a point without putting his foot in his mouth. But this forum is about opinions and the OP is entitled to his/hers.

So who he might be?

Btw. to prove that MikeUS is a liar here is something for him (as he like you tube very much) :

It's a short piece of movie "Dzień Świra" with a logo of tvn (so obviously a recording from that channel). Full of curse words and no bleeps!!! wow!

Yeah even though i've provided you with dozens of YouTube videos and websites proving what i say. Maybe you just don't bother looking at them? Go through all my comments and i prove everything i say with videos and websites.

I'm 100% American and proud. Why would i make this up?

BTW this was meant to be a short thread by me and you Poles turned into a long debate way off topic.
