Not great for Iga Swiatek now, unfortunately.

Perhaps she'll do better next year.

Quite.

Albania? Were they asleep or drunk?

Albania?

They are actually getting better. As for Polish NT - it's painful to watch. Time to say goodbye to this team (Lewandowski, Szczฤ™sny, Krychowiak, Grosicki) and start building a new one.

what happened with albania 2 poland 0, multinational betting and the poor polak team just wanna earn a few 100x pounds each?

multinational betting

I really hope they didn't throw the match, not least because a lot of the bets that they'd win would be in Poland.

what happened with albania 2 poland 0,

At the time I was wondering if they were trying to sabotage Santos..

if they were trying to sabotage Santos..

That would cost them quite a lot of money. I don`t think they are so stupid. They are simply very poor players and the real tragedy is that Poland currently has no better ones so those azholes have to be called up to the national team.

National teams should be allowed to have only native players, not foreign imports.

What I seem to remember (was that by all reports they were fine in the first half and then seemed to forget how to play in the second....

maybe this was a different match.... when did they just collapse after half-time?

that was the last game against albania, same result this time.
good news tho the Portuguese coach is going to get fired. the last Portuguese coach of Poland was pretty good, but he ran away to manage a famous Brazilian team, Boca something like that. We're really running out of options, get a polish young gun around 30 years old I reckon. But I fear Polish Football Federation just stuck in their old corrupt ways.

Lewandowski is not a captain material,

You are saying so coz he played in a German team for a long time while you hate Germans.

I see it the same way. I don't think he has the disposition of a leader.

Unfortunately, he is a natural leader coz he is a striker. Such players are always in the lead..... :):):)

t was a match that not only we but also Robert Lewandowski had been waiting for. The Pole played brilliantly against Betis, he was the leader of Barcelona, โ€‹โ€‹who played the best in a long time.

A Russian skater in "the Land of RuSSophobia" :)):

sportowefakty.wp.pl/lyzwiarstwo-szybkie/1082684/rosjanin-przeniosl-sie-do-polski-ujawnia-jak-zareagowala-jego-rodzina

Vladimir Semirunniy, a Russian speed skater and a World Cup Juniors champion moved to Poland, took Polish citizenship and is going to represent Poland. He wrote to Poland himself asking if he could do that. In the end he got a permission, but before that he had to sign a declaration that he doesn't support RuSSian invasion of Ukraine and actions of Vladimir Putin. His family and friends support his decision of moving to Poland. He had an offer from Kazakhstan, but decided that Poland offers better conditions.

He's been living in Poland for only a week, but he's already surprised how many people here know RuSSian language and he thinks it should help him adapt in Poland, even though he plans to learn Polish.

and is going to represent Poland.

His next anticipated move will be to move to Germany or France in cpl of years.Polish President granted him citizenship, the only way to get outta ruski land and enter the western world. How can one trust someone who will betray his motherland and adopt another country....what are his chances to be loyal to Poland....questionable.

Smells like some political circus.

How can one trust someone who will betray his motherland and adopt another country....

It's pretty common for athletes to move to other countries and represent those countries in order to develop their career. It happens quite often in figure skating, for example. And it's explained in the article why he did that.

His next anticipated move will be to move to Germany or France in cpl of years.

Maybe, but why didn't he apply to Germany or France in the first place then?

Maybe, but why didn't he apply to Germany or France in the first place then?

Maybe cuz those countries dont offer direct citizenship like Poland does through President.I googled and could only find that there is a years long process to get German and French citizenship.

I googled and could only find that there is a years long process to get German and French citizenship.

Could be, Aljona Savchenko, an Ukrainian figure skater, moved to Germany in 2003 and got the citizenship two years later:

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aljona_Savchenko

She moved to Germany because of training conditions in her country - Ukrainian Figure Skating Federation was giving zero support to the skaters. And Germany did well by taking her in - she won for Germany a sh1tload of medals lol Savchenko is one of the most decorated pair skaters - she is an Olympic Champion and a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, a six-time World Champion, a four-time European Champion, and a five-time Grand Prix Final champion :O ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

Yesterday, Iga ลšwiฤ…tek won the ATP Finals tournament for the first time in her career. Thanks to this success, the Poless moved to the first place in the world ranking. Aryna Sabalenka, who had been leading for less than two months, fell back to second place.

She won despite the sh1tty weather (and other) conditions in Cancun. May the winds be ever in your favour, Iga! lol :D ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช
