Sports is what men watch to hide their true feelings or justify not helping in the kitchen.

Are you going to watch the Olympics if they make the athletes wear masks? It seems like a stupid idea, but thats normal these days.

The mask thing doesn't make much difference for me. What makes it less interesting is the lack of an audience; for some sports, that matters.

I dont think its very safe for the athletes. They get too much Co2 and could pass out, especially runners.

Can you imagine having to run a marathon with a mask on, its has to be a lot harder.

Does that mean all the times before when Germany destroyed England on the football field we won WWII ??? 🤣

What a nutter!

FORZA ITALIA!

"People have tried to invade us", coming from a guy whose fellow countrymen invaded and enslaved half the world. What a cheek!

Physical violence, spitting on children, laser beams into goalkeepers' face, and now cheap chauvinism on top of all that. How sad to see once proud England turning into a xenophobic, hatred-filled sh*thole. Oh, well...

Now that explains why their "fans" hurl even abuse at the children of their opponents....the English just suck!

Imagine all the descendants of the slaves would treat the English as they surely deserve, heh:)

Some people can't lose - the defeat brings out the worst in them. In case of England, apparently, it is victories that bring out the worst. A sad spectacle.

True....

Could it be that the English never got over it that they had to be rescued by the Americans and Russians from the mean Germans? That they still lost their Empire afterwards?

Playing only second or even third fiddle now? But still wanting to be powerful and mighty?

A trauma? Which can only be treated with re-fighting (and winning of course) WWII again and again and again?

Do these "fans" think beating Germany in a football game means they win WWII again and they actually count in the world again?

How delusional!

A trauma?

Well, I don't know and I don't really care, as long as Italians wipe the floor with them tomorrow.

The only thing that worries me is UEFA and their referees... :-/

Let's see how the UEFA plans to let them win :(

...and hope that the Italians are better! :)

Was he on the winning side in some alternate reality?

Abused german "Nazi-slag" girl donates the raised funds!

..."Our daughter would like to request your generous donations go to UNICEF, knowing that your kindness will do good."

What an honourable and classy thing to do....

Yes. Nice of Stan Collymore to raise all those pounds.

I watch Olympics only for the medal ceremonies and only if the US is number 1. Couldn't care less about the rest.
This time, if I see just one mask, raised black fist, or a girl with balls I am done for the duration.

Yes. Nice of Stan Collymore to raise all those pounds.

He is WELSH!

That's why I explicitely diss the ENGLISH, not the welsh or the scottish or the irish, heh:)

The non-english Brits don't like those english fans either....they are alone in some special *****league!

He is WELSH!

Me too (or half, anyway); many of us British are.

Oddly enough I did know where he's from and who in England he's played for. One of the good guys.

The non-english Brits don't like those english fans either....

Most people don't obsess about it. We sometimes enjoy our sporting rivalries, however we aren't enemies.

Very interesting betting odds. Consistent between the UK and Poland bookies. Worth having a look.

Germans are never treated that badly by Welsh or Scotts....which I find curious, after all they fighted in the same WWII...but they don't seem to hold the same old grudge?

g

After he missed the decisive penalty against Germany during the Euro'96 semifinals, the England fans gave him a new name: Gareth OUTgate.

Rarely treated at all;.

Nor do people in England especially; however there are bigots in most countries, and there are bars in Glasgow where I'd advise a foreigner, especially a German to avoid for their own safety. Belfast can be a bit like that too.

You have to understand him Bratwurst Boy, he was traumatized for life as he was made to be the scapegoat for England going out in a tournament which they hosted. That's why he would always be remembered for, not to mention the abuse he received by the fans for the next 18 months whichever stadium he went to play in.

What a nutter!

Really sick. Poland suffered how much more than England in WWII at German hands? And I've not perceived a 10th the resentment that English people seem to nurture....

Maybe it's because Germany lost the war but won the peace (while the UK..... mostly the opposite)....
Bratwurst Boy  8 | 11783
10 Jul 2021   #508
Yeah....one trauma after the other....by the hand of Germans....that must be it! ;)

Poland suffered how much more than England in WWII at German hands?

Was it a competition?

the resentment that English people seem to nurture....

Maybe online nutters, tabloid journalists or deluded 'nationalists'; most people in the UK are not particularly either pro- or anti-German.

Anyway, in international football, it's good to see your team win. Perhaps someone from Germany or Denmark can send me some of their children's tears in a little glass vial. I'm watching highlights of the last match and fancy a celebratory Martini.

I can only hope so....football is such a great game....such nutters destroy what could and should be real good fun for all sides!

Perhaps someone from Germany or Denmark can send me some of their children's tears in a little glass vial.

Oh you will cry tomorrow evening! :)
