Either side has been unwilling to make the concessions necessary for ensuring peace in the region. Israel demands a "peace with honor", that is, ZERO concessions to Israeli territory, harking back to the days of ancient Judaea as the "promised land" of the Jews. The Palestinians on the other hand maintain that the current state of Israel has no right to exist, a historical, geopolitical as well as intellectual absurdity.

The only solution to the present conflict is for both Israel and the Palestinians to split Gaza or simply concede to the fact that there will always be strife between the two groups.

"FINISH THEM" carpet bomb geeza gaza.

I like your plan. With proper notice, they can all safely leave and ask for asylum in about 190 countries. Canada is practically empty...

ancient Judaea as the "promised land" of the Jews.

With an army like Israel's, history does not matter. It's nice to have it on your side, but it's not necessary.

What matters is that before 1967, Israel was 9 miles wide. Arabs saw it and went for the throat. Man, were they wrong! So they tried again...Now, Israel is told to give them another chance with Palestine as an independent country Israel would not be allowed to enter and see what's shakin'.

One would have to be born an imbecile and have a Stage 4 brain tumor to agree to this kind of crap.

Are you falling out of step with the other russian shills? russian state media (and their shill army) has firmly pro-Hamas anti-Israel at present... how long before novi sees the light and adopts the correct party position?

Their idol: Orwell.

Orwell was not supporting communism - on the contrary (his works were a warning against totalitarianism and communism in particular)

Orwell was not supporting communism

He didn't. His book did as a how-to instruction manual. See trans movement.

@Rich, the '67 War, the so-called Yom Kippur War, ceded the Gaza Strip over to Israel, something which enraged the Palestinian Arabs no end.

Since that time, various leaders have made various allowances, so that now, more of Israel contains non-Jewish, Palestinian settlers than sabarim or Jewish-born Israelis.

It should be self evident.

Your point = your opinion.

I have Wikipedia for what you posted. I don't need you to be my history textbook.

Since conversing with you is like pulling teeth...Do you support Israel's response to the Oct 7 Hamas actions?

Try yes or no before any comments.

How to destroy a country in one easy step: See Sweden:

SWEDEN has become a gangland bloodbath plagued by executions, bomb attacks, and child soldiers rampaging the streets.
Innocent bystanders - including a 12-year-old girl - are being gunned down as a country that was once deemed peaceful and safe becomes a terrifying gangster paradise.

So, PF bootlickers, how is that "democracy" and your "democratically elected legal representatives" working for you?

The alternative though, we see today in Russia with Putin, and saw in Belarus with Lukaszenko!

Sweden merely represents the opposite extreme. Even if neither extreme is any good, most people would probably side with Sweden than with Russia.

Do you understand your own posts?

On my island, all immigration would be prohibited until 95% demand it by a petition plus a cash deposit of $100,000 to cover all related gov expenses.

Sounds a bit like Switzerland - the petition part.

The money part - that's done in tons of places. I'm not sure how I feel about it... I mean, I understand if Monaco, Luxembourg, or even Switzerland would be in the business of collecting millions of dollars for permanent residency. However, when it's America doing it, or some other powerful and important country, it leaves a weird taste in the mouth. I'll try to explain...

On the one hand - it seemingly cheapens the idea of American citizenship. Second, it makes it seem like America only wants "a sure thing". Wanting a "sure thing", goes against the grain of what American history has been. The miracle of America, is how it can metaphorically make candy out of sh!t. Some illiterate and downtrodden Italian grandparents arrive, and two generations later their grandkid is Governor of New York State. That's America.

Letting in every Arab, Russian, Chinese, and Indian kleptocrat, because he can pay his way in - that's not America. America is where people run to, to escape those people dominating their lives. Imagine their surprise then, when after going through an immensely difficult immigration process, they discover all the rich guys from back home already lounging around in America with paid for Green Cards?

There's enough places for thieves to go and park their money. London is the #1 destination. Why lower a great country to the level of the UK?

The money part - that's done in tons of places.

I meant $100k payable by the referendum voters who vote YES. If the referendum does not pass, 100k would be refunded.
99% of immigrants and refugees are cancerous to the locals. 1% is merit-based and benefits the host. The rest are parasites who want a "better life" - just like bank robbers.

Italian grandparents arrive, and two generations later their grandkid is Governor of New York State. That's America.

How did that benefit the locals? Italian mafia sure didn't...

You do what?

Only an idiot or lazy bum would write:

Even if neither extreme is any good, most people would probably side with Sweden than with Russia.

Who are "most people"? What is the conflict between Sweden and Russia for the "most people" to choose sides over?

What extremes are you referring to?

Are you on drugs or in a hurry somewhere?

Here's another video of Poland showing Europe how it should be done:)

Deportation, not relocation!

Migrants should be shot as they try to enter.

99% of immigrants and refugees are cancerous to the locals.

Might as well say that Nikolai Tesla was the lowest of the low because he came from Serbia which wasn't very industrialized or scientific (which is the sole reason why he immigrated, because he wanted to work somewhere industrialized and scientific).
Lyzko 45 | 9,459

Amen, Korvinus! That's tellin' 'em.
@Rich, you continually lump all immigrants into one basket.
That's like throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater.

Well, I guess you're right, looking at what grows out of them after years... sometimes.

all immigrants into one basket.

Quite.

And migration from the Global South will only continue to grow this century.
mafketis 37 | 10,957

migration from the Global South will only continue to grow this century.

Only if the Global North allows it (more specifically only if governments allow it against the expressed wishes of a majority of the population).

the problem is that European culture cannot be maintained by.... non-Europeans with very different values who are allowed to keep those values..

bye equality of the sexes under law, bye broad tolerance of sexual minorities, bye secular education for education's sake, bye civil society.... it was nice to know you...

Spot on, Maf, as usual!
Continental Europe, I include Britain here, is not the equivalent melting pot culture
of the United States. It's downright naive to the point of childish to expect traditionally
homogeneous societies such as Germany, Poland or Sweden, for example, to suddenly
fling their doors wide open to non-European, Third World immigrants whose social, not to mention
religious, values are so markedly different from their own.

Sure, we're all human beings whose core values revolve around some form of family unit, language,
community etc. Nevertheless, it's completely unfair as well as unrealistic to place a bunch of Iranian
Muslims into a small to medium sized Polish city, and wonder why there's resentment among the native
locals.

Such a scenario's as unfair to the migrants as it is to the local Poles.

Only if the Global North allows it

They don't. There are razor wire fences in some countries, armed guards on the French coast, but it's happening, isn't it...

And it's increasing.

the population

And the only way it can be mitigated slightly (it won't be stopped) is to increase opportunities in the Global South.

culture cannot be maintained

Culture is never static, traditions are never unchanging.
