@Bobko, I won't accuse you of "conspirological type thinking". Rather spreading misinformation.

The wall protecting Poland from Belarus regime`s migrants is a controvercial issue to scientists and conservationists. Beautiful minds who care about animals but completely disregard politics which plays a major role here.

187 kilometers of concrete, steel and barbed wire on the border divided the Polish and Belarusian forests. The wall interrupts ecological corridors, endangers animals and destroys protected areas. The wall is the Polish government's response to the migration crisis.

- What is happening in Podlasie is an international matter. The scientific community is concerned. Saying that it protects us from danger is a misunderstanding - said Radosław Ślusarczyk from the Workshop for All Beings in the "Talks about the end of the world" program.

According to Karolina Kuszlewicz, an environmental lawyer, the government's argument is very strong. At the same time, she noted that the Białowieża Forest, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is of great value and under the pretext of building a wall, this valuable natural area is completely excluded from the control of society and scientists. - Joining this construction and, in my opinion, breaking EU law and not letting us know how the construction affects the state of nature, all this makes me terrified - added Kuszlewicz.

The guests of the program were also asked about footbridges for animals, which are supposed to be the answer to all the problems that scientists and experts talk about. - Ensuring that transitions are effective is not enough for me. The gate would be opened by border guards, and these are not naturalists - said Radosław Ślusarczyk. Added, that there are two institutes in Białowieża near the construction site and the outstanding scientists employed in them are not allowed to assess the effects of the construction of the wall. He also reported that there is a highway fence on the rivers, which also prevents animals from migrating.

Białowieża Forest

It's the largest virgin forest in Europe. There shouldn't be a wall through it.

I wonder what possibilities there are to do it without this. Hard to think of any.

A barrier is needed. A barrier can't be built. This doesn't look to be an easy question to answer.

Yes. That is why the wall has to stay until Belarus breaks its toxic ties with Russia, develops a new democratic gov and becomes a European country.

Lol. Now Belarus is a real country too? I thought it was the 90th state of Russia?

It will only do that once it realizes the money train is over (the basic dynamic is that lukashenka dangles the offer of the 'union state' in front of putain in exchange for money and never delivers).

word is, that his recent trip to China was about assurances against russian expansionism.... supposedly China doesn't like russian claims against other countries (because the idea of redrawing borders opens up a bunch of pandora's boxes for china too)

Formally, it is still a seperate country, although it is so closely affiliated with Russia.

Yes. It will also break away when Russia disintegrates crushed under the lost war and sanctions.

Closing down the main border crossing with Belarus was a very good move. Belarus regime is getting more and more desperate. Lukashenka heard a few bitter words during his official visit to China because of.....

Yes, but still major land transport routes from China to Europe go through Belarus. :):):)

Now there are first signals Luka is thinking of striking a deal with Poland.

Polish authorities will be stupid if they don`t demand the following:

- release ALL political prisoners from regime`s prisons. Not only the ones of Polish origin but ALL.
- put an end to regime`s immigration business which means they import migrants (for hard cash) , then equip them and instruct how to illegally cross the Polish border.

We`ll see what matters more to the regime - dollars earned on illegal migrants or dollars earned from the trade through the closed border crossing.
