What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus?

not letting the free press or Frontex anywhere near the border

European Commission said that it is going only to sent Frontex officials, who are forbidden from using force against migrants (besides acting in the self-defence). Such people are completely useless in this hybrid warfare as are people watching if Polish border guards won't push invaders back to Belarus once they cross the border.

In other words, EU already made clear that necessary means can't and won't be offered.

And Poland is keeping them out mainly at the behest of Germany. They want to go to Germany. What's Poland to do, lock them up in detention centres in Poland?

As much as the German globohomo want to replace their population, they hardly want whole columns taking over at once, like some kind of Moroccan Green March. Otherwise it looks a bit too much like an invasion. Not what you need when new lockdowns are incoming thanks to the leaky vaccines, and a government formation with parties that have never formed a government together at the federal level.

Frontex officials, who are forbidden from using force against migrants

The only reason to send Frontex people is to sort people once they cross (and to try to legally bind them to Poland instead of Germany during the asylum process).

the EU has basically learned nothing from 2015 and once more finds itself cornered and powerless against enemies who _act_ rather than plan meetings three months from now....

Frontex officials,

I just read somewhere that Frontex only has less then 1000 employees. What difference will that make,Poland has deployed almost 15K soldiers and cops.
I was watching Ruptly live on You tube all those migrants look healthy to me including kids running around like they are on a picnic.Somebody is feeding them and media is saying they dying of hunger. Here is the live streaming now

I wonder how they are charging there cell phones?

Frontex ....What difference will that make

"Send Frontex" is shorthand for "let them all in and try to do paperwork that will keep them in Poland!"

Just keep that in mind.

It is a miracle that they will not stay in Belarus where there is honey and milk.

What can you say?..... The place is a sh1th0le, run by a neo-Soviet kleptocratic thug... not many sane people want to stay in Lukashenka's little fiefdom.

It could be great for the tourism though "Come to Belarus! You'll die trying to leave!"

the EU has basically learned nothing from 2015

Well...most of Germany has....that where originaly are "only a few thousands" on the Autobahns can become quickly a million knocking on your door! And that we don't want a repeat.......and I think the rest of Europe has learned by watching. Not every bad experience you have to make yourself!

No "refugees welcome" poster with teddy bears this time....

I wouldn't downtalk Frontex so much, the german leftist hate them....they blame Frontex in the Med for pushbacks of people, especially his chef Fabrice Leggeri has become some kind of enemy for our open-borders guys and gals!

They are worse than useless. They actually assist the invading hordes.
My advice to the Polish border guards: shoot them and the invaders.
Or Poland will die a slow death...

the german leftist hate them..

I noticed that leftists are the same brainless morons everywhere, PF included. They only say what you are not allowed to do.
No pushing back!!! - goes the cry. What then, morons? Have to let them in!!! How many? Silence...or some evasive crap...

Now it get's interesting:

Belarus leader floats idea of cutting gas to Europe in migrant standoff

reuters.com/world/europe/lukashenko-belarus-will-retaliate-against-any-new-eu-sanctions-could-cut-gas-2021-11-11/

...On Thursday, he raised the possibility of cutting off the Yamal gas pipeline that carries Russian gas across Belarus en route to Poland and Germany.

"We are heating Europe, they are still threatening us that they will close the border. And if we shut off natural gas there?," Lukashenko said in comments published by the state news agency Belta.

"Therefore, I would recommend that the Polish leadership, Lithuanians and other headless people think before speaking," he was cited as saying....

But for that he needs Putin's backing....will he dare? *gets popcorn*

PS: But that of course is exact that situation why NordStream was being build in the first place....to cut out such unreliable middlemen....

Now it get's interesting:

Where Russia is getting money from? Selling gas to Germany.
Shouldn't Germany face up to their responsibility?

to cut out such unreliable middlemen....

He is doing it with Russia backing. That is win win for them.
Stupid green German policies they force on others are making it all harder for most.
Poland doesn't need their crappy green technology. Morawiecki is a pushover regardles of his claims.
A fact that German big firms in Poland pay only 0,5% tax is a scandal. French pay 0%. No words are good enough to discribe our leaders.

There are no middlemen here, BB. Lucuntshenka would never even dream of stopping the Yamal gas transfer without explicit permission from Russia.

This is what the Americans are getting on the crisis on the Belarus problem.
I think this thread is much more in depth than the (AP) Associated Press news media.

EXPLAINER: What's behind the crisis at Belarus-Poland border

I think the same...

without explicit permission from Russia.

On the other hand, the threats will encourage the completion/usage of N2.... so Putin authorized the threats if not actually a shut down...
GefreiterKania 35 | 1,396
11 Nov 2021 #795
So that would help Putin with NS2, OK, but how does this help Lukashenka? He gets fees for every cubic metre of gas he sends through Yamal - it's not as if he's sleeping on money at the moment. It looks like Putin is getting ready to take over Belarus and Lukashenka has lost the plot completely (he might even be sacrificed by Putin and replaced with another marionette).

He realizes his days are numbered and would be able to be protected by Putin than deal with the Belarusian people who must truly loathe him by now....

In the short term look for a Chechnya style arrangement with Lukashenka in the Kadyrov role....

Another point of the current troubles is probably to encourage Poland, Lithuania etc to build up a fence.... which will be useful in keeping disgruntled Belarusians from just decamping to Poland...

The current regime are doing that effectively themselves.

People here often underestimate the number of Russian 'assets' in Polish public life.

the number of Russian 'assets' in Polish public life.

Yes most of them are the ones talking about human rights before border security, refusing to support building the border wall and support negotiating with lukashenko .

Polish government mustn't used the rhetorics of calling refugees a "weapon". What an ultranationalism! It's a shame! Be ashamed of yourselves!",

Sounds like something you would write on the notesfrompoland FB page jon. Though for better or worse you have learnt to hold your cards close to your chest on PF.

Poland is now in position of Turkey in strategic sense. If Brussles push Poland too far, comes the migrants.

Duda is wise. Great fok*r. He make short work of all who pressure Poland. You wanna peace of Poland? SLAP. Duda let Russian armamanet fly to Serbia via Poland. You wanna peace of Poland? SLAP. Duda have chepest electricity within EU. You wanna peace of Poland? SLAP. Duda have problems to hold the migrants from Belarus.

I love brat Duda. I am his great fan.

Traitor? Duda isn`t traitor. He knows what he doing. We love him very much in Serbia. Without him we would be unarmed against papal and germanic genocidal projects. Poland is our light.

The 'assets' are the ones staying silent right now.

I'll have a look at that, though the quote was from another poster and I don't use Facebook (too boomer for me). The Notes from Poland website is a good one though and their editor has an excellent Twitter feed that has plenty about the current border crisis.

Interesting....Twitter now says:

#Migrants at the border were offered to ask for asylum in #Belarus or return home

twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1458780738153816067

That means there is no reason to try for Poland and the EU anymore.....

It's more than no reason. Country shopping is against the UN refugee rules.

From:

msn.com/en-us/news/world/you-sanction-us-again-we-e2-80-99ll-freeze-you-lukashenko-warns-europe-threatening-to-cut-gas-supply/ar-AAQAiS5

MOSCOW -Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko opened another potential front against Europe on Thursday, threatening to choke off gas supplies amid a deepening crisis that has brought migrants surging to E.U. borders and Western leaders planning to retaliate with more sanctions.

Good. Help them grow to be men. Better yet, men with guns.

I want to be clear about one thing: I hate weak, pussified Euro weasels more than I dislike Lukashenko. That is why I am on his side and for the same reason why I like the Russian terrorists who break into the US computers as a warning of how crappy our security is. Thanks, guys.

Russia sent two nuclear capable strategic bombers on a training mission over Belarus for a second straight day Thursday in a strong show of Moscow's support for its ally amid a dispute over migration at the Polish border.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry said two Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers practiced bombing runs at the Ruzany firing range, located in Belarus about 60 kilometers (just over 37 miles) east of the border with Poland.

As part of the joint training, Belarusian fighter jets simulated an intercept.
