Sparkling rhetoric as ever, Wulkan, though do tell us how a Soviet dictator relates to this, except insofar as the PiS regime are emulatimg of their tactics on so many levels and in so many ways.

People also cried over Lech Kaczynski too, however probably not that many and I was surprised to see that several flats in my neighbourhood were holding very obvious parties that day.

That's very "charming" of them as you would say.

Well, Wulkan, you should remember that the ultra-conservative nationalistic viewpoint that you promote here is rather less popular here in Warsaw than you would like to think.

Freedom House organised the trip and arranged the meetings.

Apparently, they don't know much about it...

Yet left wing progressive parties failed in Warsaw in the last election and only minorities voted for them.

There you go again, Wulkan. Especially since ultra-conservatives did badly in the capital.

And what's this about only 'minorities' voting for parties you don't like?

Especially since ultra-conservatives did badly in the capital.

But PiS did ok, much better than the craap you would vote if you could.

BTW KODerists are sending 4 people for this "high profile US visit" and one of them is... Kijo fecker's 2nd wife :))))))

Very eloquent, especially since Warsaw is not, nor has ever been a PiS stronghold. They only get the votes they do here due to the counting of overseas votes.

if you could.

Oh but I did. Cancelled your vote out, if you bothered voting.

Cancelled your vote out, if you bothered voting.

So voting for something else you call cancelling some ones vote lol funny how you try to be so personal with everything.

Kijo fecker's 2nd wife

Is that the one that didn't get proper child-maintenance from Kijo?

The next one I think. The one that is supporting him financially as he is... jobless.

jobless.

PF's Anglo-expats should take up a collection in support of the Poor Matt Kijowski Fund. I'll be the first to donate 2 groszy. Who will second the motion? Can't the Kijo just win some Lotto cash as Bolo did ?
Harry

I'll be the first to donate 2 groszy.

Given that you're the only Anglo-expat here, that collection won't do well.

ollection won't do well

You mean you won't even chip in 10 groszy? Kijowski's worth that much , don't you think?

It's pretty clear in the US media that it's a deliberate snub and that PiS was desperately trying to obtain a meeting between Duda and Obama to give them some legitimacy.

Why do you comment on matters of which you know nothing?

Just look at the photos taken while President Duda was in Washington last week where Obama was keen to have him visit the White House:

Face reality for once. Obama is a lame duck president who is reviled by the American electorate as a do-nothing narcissist who plays a lot of golf while Americans fall into poverty and the world burns. Obama craves legitimacy now that the curtain is about to fall on his disastrous eight years in the White House.

And of course you completely missed it but President Duda was actually showing the American people how magnanimous Poles are and that Poland is a country who is willing to work with whomever is in the White House - even someone like Obama who insulted Poles with his unforgivable "Polish death camps" remark which he never apologized for anyway.

Oh dear. You really call a couple of quick photographs while Obama more or less lectured to Duda briefly before supper to be any sort of significant meeting? It's well known that Obama told Duda straight that he expected Poland to obey democratic norms if Poland wanted to have a NATO base.

Obama is a lame duck president who is reviled by the American electorate as a do-nothing narcissist who plays a lot of golf while Americans fall into poverty and the world burns.

The latest poll shows that Obama is approved by 52% of the electorate and not approved by 45% of the electorate. Like your comments on Poland, you're completely misinformed.

Fortunately, regardless of who wins the Presidency in November - they're likely to have a hostile attitude towards Poland.

Obama

Another hero of the KOD creeps is mega-liar Tusk, Hold onto your chair -- he claims the US Administration are grteatyl rattled by the Janów stud situation and the removal of diseased trees froim Białowieża. OK, due to the sustained KOF/PO/Petru stink and rumpus they may have heard of the TK row, but who in Washignton follows such trifles as hroses and trees in distant land?!

and the removal of diseased trees froim Białowieża

Nice spin, but the reality of Białowieża is that they want their hands on the undiseased trees which are worth a considerable amount on the market. Remember that foresters need to cut wood in order to keep their highly paid (by local standards) jobs.

but who in Washignton follows such trifles as hroses and trees in distant land?!

Can't talk about Washington, but the situation with the horses dying and the devastation of Białowieża has been covered all over Europe.

Ha! What a laugh! Obama couldn't pull that off in eight years. He certainly won't and cant do anything now in his final eight months!

The latest poll shows that Obama is approved by 52% of the electorate and not approved by 45% of the electorate.

You're wrong as usual. The important figure (which of course you avoided mentioning) is his average approval rating since his term began. This stands at an embarrassing 47%. Like all your comments, whether they are about Poland or the rest of the world, you are completely misinformed.

Fortunately, regardless of who wins the Presidency in November - they're likely to have a hostile attitude towards Poland.

Fortunately? For who? You? LOL! But you don't matter in Poland (or back home in Britain or anywhere else for that matter) and you know it.

Like I mentioned in another post most Americans (and this would include especially their political leaders) are either uniformed or misinformed about Poland. Therefore, Poland being on the receiving end of any hostility from the Americans would only occur if some rabid Zionists like yourself start demanding Poland pay reparations to Jews over some trumped-up claim.
Polonius3 993 | 12,357

reparations to Jews

Schetyna has recently gone on record as saying Poland should return Jewish real estate or remunerate the claimants.

Yes, and I can only see corrupt, rabid Zionists like Clinton, Cruz and even Sanders misusing their positions to make this a centerpiece of American policy towards Poland even when it is completely without merit. We saw an early warning sign of this when (rumor has it) their one former ambassador to Poland abruptly left his position because he kept agitating for this unofficial position and much to the consternation to Sikorski and the MFA. So clearly it doesn't matter which party holds power in Poland.

I don't see a Trump presidency becoming being hostile towards Poland over this or other issues. At the moment he seems too isolationist to care.

Regardless of who becomes the next American president we can all be certain that the British carpetbaggers will be on PF sharing their daydreams about the world hating Poland for being Polish.

Obama couldn't pull that off in eight years

He certainly will do something, which is to make sure that no NATO base goes near Poland. Furthermore, the next President is likely to follow exactly the same path.

This stands at an embarrassing 47%

47% approval? Not bad at all, and not really embarrassing in the slightest, given that a significant part of his disapproval comes from people that would rather Obama was chained up in their fields.

Incidentally, another 15 thousand were on the streets of Wrocław today in defence of Polish democracy. Not bad, not bad at all.

Ah, now we're starting to see the real harassment towards members of the opposition.

It transpires that in Żagań, the leader of the town council and coordinator of KOD in Żagań, has been threatened with being fired from her job in the Labour Office because of alleged misconduct. The case against her is clearly nonsense - one complaint of being rude to a client and two reports of not transferring some files as quickly as possible.

As is becoming normal in Kaczyński's Poland, you can expect to be dismissed from your civil service job if you oppose the government in any way.

You make it sound like Obama is some George Washington commanding his troops into position. He's not and never has been. Your hero Obama will only do nothing because that's all he has been doing regarding Poland ever since he took office. And Obama like the Congress in America only do as they are told by their paymasters. That's why billions upon billions in American tax dollars are given in obsequious tribute to ungrateful and backstabbing Israel every year while (much to your glee I'm sure) Poland gets nothing in return for its longstanding friendship and support towards America.

So why didn't PO change American sentiment in all the years they were in power? And yet you think PiS is the reason Poland will get no NATO bases.

Seriously, you really don't get it.

Furthermore, the next President is likely to follow exactly the same path.

Of course, that's because only Israel matters to Americans and their corrupt politicians. Poland is never part of the conversation over there.

47% approval? Not bad at all, and not really embarrassing in the slightest

Eight years (even with him bragging about being re-elected) and he still can only muster less than half an approval rating. Even Richard Nixon pulled off an average of nearly 56% during his presidency and he resigned in disgrace.

Seriously, you really don't get it.

Incidentally, another 15 thousand were on the streets of Wrocław today in defence of Polish democracy.

Oh, wow, an entire 2% of the city's population. Roll on the revolution, eh?

Anyway, organizers of such events always exaggerate crowd numbers and absolutely never point out how late people arrive and how soon they leave.

Seriously, you really don't get it.

Basically, a continuation of the mindset in the period that they love. Pre-1989...
OP delphiandomine 88 | 18,131

It's exactly the same tactic. As the independent civil service has been destroyed, we can expect jobs to only go to PiS activists in future. Anyone else simply won't be considered - Party membership will become obligatory in order to be hired. Your criminal record will be irrelevant, just so long as you have the correct political loyalties.

The problem is that the longer this goes on, the more damage will be done and the harder it will be to recover from it. Party membership will stop incompetent people from being fired, and because these people will be dependent on the Party to pay their bills, we can expect a swift change back to the pre-1989 mentality that used to dominate Polish life.

Oh, wow, an entire 2% of the city's population. Roll on the revolution, eh?

Given that it was the first hot day of the year and many people chose to escape the city, it's not a bad turnout at all.

Then again, you have to actually be in Poland to understand that.

Rather than go to the city center and be counted as a KODer. Can't blame them at all.

Then again, you have to actually be in Poland to understand that.

Indeed, being in Poland even from time to time gives this wide impression of how KOD is viewed as a bunch of clowns by the society. Dangerous bunch of clowns unfortunately because of the support from abroad like Soros and others so you need to keep an eye on them.

Rather than go to the city center and be counted as a KODer.

Normal. The same thing happened throughout Polish history, but what matters is that what started with around 3000 in Wrocław has now swelled to 15,000.

Indeed, being in Poland even from time to time gives this wide impression of how KOD is viewed as a bunch of clowns by the society.

Problem is that society has already made it clear that they support KOD over the government on this one.

I'm just surprised how easy it was for Kaczyński to divide Poles. Talk about doing Putin's dirty work for him!

Poles were being divided for the last 8 years at least.
