The current wave of colds is mainly Corona, but the course of the disease is mild for now.

The first pandemic in the world is always a good time to learn about pandemics and that kids are immortal compared to 70+ with other deadly diseases.

But we are democracies so everybody has to be treated equally.

BTW, do you know one gov bureaucrat who lost one dollar due to lockdowns? Me neither.

There is not a single study to prove that masks work. No rates of filtration, either. I am talking about the throwaway masks we were expected to wear, not the super masks for brain surgeons.

In fact, those cheap masks made things worse because what they caught on the way in or out stayed on them so I was breathing in the crap my lungs just got rid of.

BTW, during the entire "pandemic" I didn't see one person coughing and spitting. We did speak.

The problem is that there are now peer reviewed studies that show the masks did nothing. The lockdowns did nothing. The economies of the world were ruined because people made up science as they went along and nothing was based on facts. The facts now prove, with Pfizer admission, that the vacines are not safe and produce heart confitions, particularly in young men. The facts are that people were manipulated by fascists who wanted control and they gave in to the propaganda even more quickly than Germans did to Hitler.

I can agree with everything else, but this sounds like a conspiracy theory.

One day you will explain to me why all the PF brains are in the US and the bootlickers in Europe. Maybe it's the years of the -ism kind of tresura...Or the 1st Amendment...

And of course, when someone posts a link the response is [crickets chirping]. Nothing more funny to me when traveling than to see idiots double masking in airports and on planes. Usually the wife is all masked up and the husband has his pulled down below the nose so he can actually breath.

Nobody from government will ever admit either

That the lockdown was too long long and severe.
That the paper masks are not proved to be effective

Scientists are even more unwilling than politicians to admit mistakes, so you probably need to wait 30-40 years for impartial research into what worked, once everyone involved is retired.

And these policies came from left and right - Boris, PiS, Hungary etc all had lockdowns just as long and hard as US Dems, Trudeau and Macron.

I supported the lockdown and wore my mask because I was told like everyone else that it would be a few weeks. When they still were trying to push us around 18 months later, after we were vaccinated, it was pretty weird.

I have never been so healthy in my life as long as I was wearing the ffp2 mask. Due to my close contact with many people, I was constantly catching a cold every few weeks, or at least had a runny nose or a cough. A simple mask and I owe it so much.

I feel very sorry for the people in countries where vaccines were mandatory, also for older people in countries where they had a choice but were so worried and scared that they took the chance and were vaccinated. I wasn't vaccinated myself and I did catch Covid but not until November of 2021. The worst thing was the cough and for a long time afterwards my lungs didn't seem to function at their full capacity, maybe 80% of what they had been. They seem to be back to normal now.

Perhaps with the vaccine the course would be milder.
