Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 20

And it is predatory to lay claim to the country's economic future with no security guarantees given in return....
@ mafketis

You must be talking about rare earth minerals. American involvement and the presence of American experts are guarantees in themselves, don't you think so?
Or you prefer the guarantee given for destruction of Ukraines nuclear weapons? Look how well it is serving Ukraine's interests. Do you think Russia would dare to invade a third nuclear power?

North Vietnam kicked the first and the mightiest nuclear power on the ass.

So did the Taliban. Nukes are worthless.

That
Nothing in Europe is worth even one American life.

So if China ever invades you, we should smugly sit behind the ocean telling you to give up if fighting and destruction bother you so much.

But I know you are not representative of most Americans. You are one of the dumbest ones.

What would she presence of American "experts" do to help.

First sign of any bother and they would get a taxi from the Marriott to the airport and be on the first flight out.

I can't believe this is being used as an argument for the Mineral Robbery - it's pathetic

@Korvinus
LMFAO If China invades the US, they have to worry about American citizens more than the military. More guns owned by citizens than the military. Fvcking hilarious, China invading the US. Like Poland might invade Australia. LMFAO

So if China ever invades you,

Hey, stupid, did you actually read my post or just glanced?

Let me try again:

Nothing in Europe is worth even one American life.

Feel free to list what in Europe is worth how many American lives.

Like this:

Our general happiness - 50,000 dead Americans

Sipping wine at lunch - 20,000 dead Americans

You get the drift...Go for it...prove me wrong...

You can't name one fvcking Euro thing that would be worth, say, 100,000 dead Americans? WTF...

I can...For example, removing homeless addicts, their excrement and needles from LA - 20,000 dead Europeans.

Paying off 20T of US debt - 1 million dead Europeans.

See? It can be done so don't be shy...

So did the Taliban. Nukes are worthless.

In the case of Russia and Ukraine, I am pretty sure Russia would play smart and stay away from Ukraine.

If Ukraine had nukes or was in NATO?

Why didn't the US try to win in Vietnam in a day by dropping a nuke on Hanoi? Instead, we lost 58,000 dead as well as 250,000 wounded and scarred for life.

Be careful for what you wish for.

I think Ukraine are getting close to having nukes.

Why didn't the US try to win in Vietnam in a day by dropping a nuke on Hanoi?

Well, Rich, if you ask me, the way should have been done, not the nuclear bomb but a serious bomb in the center of the DC would have been effective because politicians lost the war, not our soldiers.

I would argue that it is more important to avert the worst case scenario than to getter a better deal while using methods that make the worst case scenario more likely.

I don't see the connection here. I think it is a prefect opportunity to make some deal while they depend on our willingness to help. Are you saying that Ukraine would rather cut off its foot than compromise on a few small matters?
--
it stands to lose from having a more than 1000km long border with Russia.

It depends. Anyway you are going from zero to the extreme in less than two seconds. If you have been an engine, you could have been installed in a sports car.
---
It just seems in bad taste and premature to squabble

Well, negotiations are like that, squabbling and arguing over issues all over the place. Do you think it looks like a dignified seminary at some university?

I think it is a prefect opportunity to make some deal while they depend on our willingness to help.

That is what Trump thought as well. Blackmail Ukraine while they depend on American aid, surely they will fold immediately?

Instead he ended up sabotaging the Ukrainian war effort. Which may not concern him much, but is hardly an outcome that would be in Poland's interest.

Each day that Ukraine continues to resist Russia is a good day for Poland. Why jeopardize that?

Anyway you are going from zero to the extreme in less than two seconds.

An Ukrainian defeat may be an "extreme" position but it is sadly not an unrealistic one. Trump is unlikely to approve further aid for Ukraine once the weapons approved by Biden have been delivered, and even if the Europeans step up ( a big if), they simply can not compensate for everything the USA provides Ukraine with(like intelligence information).

that, squabbling and arguing over issues all over the place

There is a time and a place for that. Blackmailing Ukraine would undermine Poland's standing in Europe and add further credence to those who are against further aid for Ukraine on principle. Furthermore Poland would squander the goodwill that Poland has earned with the Ukrainian people thanks to its' support so far. You may scoff at that, but this kind of soft power will be invaluable for Poland in future dealings with Ukraine and for Poles doing buisness in Ukraine.

politicians lost the war, not our soldiers.

I didn't mention the third party - the voters. They had enough of that nonsense so the politicians did what the voters wanted and ended the war.

The real scandal is that nobody who started it was charged criminally.

That is what Trump thought as well.

You don't know what Trump thought.
Blackmail Ukraine

You don't know what the word "blackmail" means. Learn English or take Law 101.
Instead he ended up sabotaging the Ukrainian war effort.

You don't know what "sabotaging" means, either.
Poland's interest.

Poland's interests are irrelevant to the US.
is a good day for Poland.

...but not to the thousands of dead Ukrainians. Who gives a fvck about them, right, stupid German?
Europeans step up

Europe can print money as easily as the US. Plus, you can sell Greenland to us.
Blackmailing Ukraine

Nobody is blackmailing Ukraine.
Poland would squander the goodwill that Poland has earned with the Ukrainian people

How much is that good will worth in dollars?
