Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 10

Another senior North Nigerian is in trouble

His crime was not that he was taking a bribe - that is part of the job. Rather that he didn't share it with the right people

theguardian.com/world/2024/apr/24/russian-defence-minister-timur-ivanov-us-eu-sanctions-jail-term

His wife remarkably has escaped sanctions and continues to spend money that was supposed to go on the rebuilding of Mariupol. Instead she swans around Europe in vulgar yachts

Poland is "ready" to arm itself with nuclear weapons as the country is looking to protect itself against a similar fate to Ukraine at the hands of Russia, an expert claims as they warn the US has escalated the situation by giving in to "nuclear blackmail".

Does this move make the people of Poland feel any safer knowing that Russia has over 1500 nuclear warheads ?

@johnny reb
Poland has asked over a year ago to be a part of the rotating nuclear arms group. Poland should have developed their own nukes twenty years ago. Now, if Poland were to get nukes, you can almost assure Russia will eventually invade. Vlad isnt afraid of a few small nukes when he has the worlds largest supply. Even if only half of them work, that is still enough to wipe out half of the planet.

1500 or 15000, it's irrelevant. In case of nuclear war with Russia 100 would be enough to destroy most of Poland, so they can have even 15,000,000 as far as I'm concerned.

The point is for Poland to have enough nukes to maked invading her totally unprofitable. Pakistan has about 200 nuclear warheads, so Poland can get about 400 of her own. Is there anything in Poland worth invading her, that would justify Russia receiving 400 nuclear warheads into it's most populated urban areas? I don't think so.

Therefore, Poland having a couple of hundred nuclear warheads (top notch, with modern means of delivery) would mean she would never get invaded by anyone. It just wouldn't be worth it. That's why we will get those weapons eventually. We are rich enough and technologically advanced enough. If the US refuses to help us with the task, then f*ck 'em and let's go alone (or with Iran and North Korea, maybe Russia and China). At the moment, it's a matter of Poland's survival so all other political issues/alliances are of secondary importance.

If Americans claim to be our allies, they will help us get the weapons that will ensure our survival. If not, they can go f*ck themselves. Perhaps it is indeed time for the end of American world dominance? Who knows.

Where would Poland have got the money from 20 years ago to build nukes ? Do you remember what life was like here before 2004 ?

Unless Russia did a preemptive strike and took out all your nuke launch sites in two minutes. 😮
Then who are you going to turn to, America who you just told to get f-ed ?

I do. Poland's GDP was 255 billion USD - less than a third of current GDP, but still four times higher than Pakistan's GDP in 1998, when they first tested nuclear weapons. So, yes, we should have gotten nukes twenty years ago - that was the best moment. The second best moment is f*cking now.

Unless Russia did a preemptive strike and took out all your nuke launch sites in two minutes.

Bollox. After detecting Russia's preemptive strike, we would have a minute and a half to respond. That's 90 seconds, Johnny - enough to launch our nukes, smoke the last cigarette and have goodbye sex with out wives. So there.

Poland has always found money to do things. Just like the keep finding money to create social benefit programs. I am on planet reality, Poland prints money like the US does now, may as well print some extra.

@Torq
Why would the US want to raise tensions with Russia by selling Poland nukes? Not a good idea for the US or Poland. Poland developing their own is something they can do and should do, so if Russia sends a bunch our way one day at least some of their people will be vaporized like the rest of us in Poland.
cms neuf 1 | 1,833

What social benefit programs were there in 2004 ? You got about 100 zloty unemployment pay that was stopped after 6 months.

Pensions in 2004 left you 8 zloty a day for food

Pakistan is still poor and that won't change anytime soon

Why would the US want to raise tensions with Russia by selling Poland nukes?

Well, if the US wants to worry more about Volodya furrowing his brows (because there's not much more he would be able to do in such case) than about the safety of their frontline ally, then perhaps some alliances should be reconsidered.

Poland developing their own is something they can do and should do

Definitely. And for that, luckily, we don't need anyone's permission.

Pakistan is still poor and that won't change anytime soon

Yes, but their freedom is ensured. F*ck wealth, it makes people weak. We need nukes.

Maybe, unless they were launched from Belarus or they launched an EM warhead first that shut to down all of Poland's electronics.
Then you wouldn't even be able to watch it on t.v. or text your wife that you will be late coming home.

Bill Clinton admits regret for having Ukraine give up nuclear weapons
nypost.com/2023/04/05/bill-clinton-regrets-having-ukraine-give-up-nuclear-weapons/

Even Pakistan has competence to maintain nukes. Poland surely has. Poland exports more manufactured goods than Russia and can easily import nuclear scientists from Ukraine which worked in nuclear power plants and some in nukes. Ukraine is a non nuclear state having all npt obligations, including fiscals and receiving daily nuclear threats exactly thanks to US pressures. And the main guy behind it, Bill Clinton, regrets it.

The UK and Germany have unveiled plans to jointly develop the Remote-Controlled Howitzer 155mm Wheeled Artillery System (RCH 155), which will be mounted on Boxer armoured vehicles.

This announcement was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin.

ukdefencejournal.org.uk/britain-to-purchase-boxer-based-rch155-artillery-systems/

Pretty good news overall. For the UK and Germany that is a given, but also for Ukraine who will receive the first RCH 155 this year, since more orders means an increase in production capabilities, which means a faster delivery of future orders. Not to mention that the combat experience of the RCH 155 in Ukraine will allow further improvements for the design.

What's with the spying for China thing? Arrests in your country, in mine, and I think in Belgium. Do you think they were caught at the same time through co-operation?

That is what I like to imagine. Alternatively one source got caught/discovered and then revealed several others.

Poland official membership in the EU began in 2004, so between then and now, there has been plenty of opportunity to develop their own nukes. That said, government graft and huge political paydays over the years were clearly a higher priority.

That said, I wuld have to believe that with some engineering that some HIMARS and other systems would be able to be adapted to deliver a small nuclear load. Tried doing a little research, but that kind of math and science is beyond me.

I am reading "Are we there yet" by Morris Berman now. It is absolutely brilliant and very insightful thing on the American's way of life. I would put it in the same line as Democracy in America by Alex de Tocqueville. Highly recommend both to read.

"As the comedian George Carlin once put it, "Where do you think our leaders come from? Mars?" Why do soup kitchens and tent cities across the US fly the American flag above them, in the strange parody of patriotism? As John Steinbeck put it many years ago, in the US the poor regard themselves as "temporarily embarrassed millionaires". The goal of the americans is to become part of the elite, and they are deluded enough to think that they can.Rich or poor, nearly every american wants to be rich, and in fact sees this as the purpose of life. In this sense, we are the purest democracy in the history of the world, because ideologically speaking, the american government and the american people are on the same page. Hustling is what America has always been about...Once again, this is evidence of a pure democracy: nobodies elect nobodies to office, and then everyone wonders what went wrong."

Migrants are our biggest concern because the process is irreversible and the consequences are forever.
Germany was destroyed beyond recognition. So was Poland. Yet both recovered quickly. So did Hiroshima.
Soft invasions pose the biggest threat because pussified tribes are unwilling to say no. When they finally do, it's too late. See Sweden.

...and nobody is ever responsible for nothing when things go south.

That's why the US has a two-party system - to allow Party A to blame Party B and vice versa. Elections here are just a theatre for the gullible.

Was anyone tried for Vietnam? How about at least being blamed?

No, it is designed to be destroyed faster by Lancet drones, as you will have no need to teach new crew and you can send next one right away. Faster turnaround, more money to shareholders, more workplaces to locals, good for economy...

And the hour of vengeance is close.

You are a genius, Velund.
When this war is over, we should continue making artillery shells, and fire them off in a Nevada desert. Forever...Nonstop...to keep people who make them happily employed.

Why wait for another war?
