I got feeling that it has something with Germany.

maybe revenge for Lech Kaczinsky? Some say, his own twin, among others, that it was Germany that set down that plane. Probably to hijack Polish-Russian reconciliation and to prevent Polish-Russian official agreement on common stance on Serbian question. Back then Lech Kaczinsky and Vladimir Putin had identical stance on Serbs. Lech even made public scandal in UNGA when criticized NATO and his own Tusk`s government for actions in Serbia. Then Lech died.

You know, sometimes are lunatics used to send true message.

What a procession!

Carrying flags and candles in cold streets, thousands of Poles walked on Friday beside the coffin of Gdansk's former mayor Pawel Adamowicz who was stabbed on stage at a charity event.

badly mistreated by previous liberal government

:)

He was known to the police from his teenage years (for minor offences), and when he was 22 he robbed four banks, for which he received a sentence of 5 years in prison--badly mistreated indeed!

I have a feeling that he would have got a much higher sentence in your country (and I've also heard that Russian prisons are significantly less comfortable than Polish ones).

Yes. Better then mad archduke Ferdinand ever got it. If eventually pro-German, this Pawel at least wasn`t mass killer of animals. What I read, he was sane man. Corrupted by Germany but sane. If such combination is possible.

He was known to the police from his teenage years

ah, so, he was known to the police.

Germany becoming sloppy with its choices. Expect them to become darker, actually.

słonina is rarely eaten in Poland (it's more of a Russian thing).

IME słonina is used more as a spice (sliced into cubes and added to some dishes) and not eaten on its own.

some crazy dude, badly mistreated by previous liberal government.he got crazy as a result

huh? So it was a politically motivated crime?

Poland unfortunately has never had one of those. Hard to imagine that the policy for dealing with petty criminals would be tougher than now if we had one.

and słonina is rarely eaten in Poland

Big in Ukraine and Belarus.

I do know a Polish guy who's a farmer. He eats slonina sandwiches.

but of course. Man knows.

Choose him for president. In any case he would pass better then Duda.

Everyone, please stick to the topic of this thread.

Wonderful eulogies from Adamowicz's family. If our families say such nice things of us, then our lives will have meant something, and we will have made a difference. For that's what it's all about.

RIP

It is so good you have left Poland for the UK ...

How did he do that?

How do you think? If you don't even know that what do you know that makes you asking those dumb, loaded and patronizing questions? eh?

I know that, but I would like to know how extremists justify the murder of a politician

Do you? How do you know? did you know him personally? Do you keep taps on local politics in Poland? How the hell do you know it? Unless you surprise with an actual answer let assume that you don't know that. In fact you know F all about it bar what you have found out there in the 'liberal' i.e. biased and oft lying media. Not even in the POLISH liberal media but in the foreign ones. sheesh ...

Ad2. How Am I justifying the murder? in the same way Lyzko takes anything you say as If you were the Nazi sympathizer or whatnot, with so called loose associations. That is not healthy.

I said that some people liked him and same didn't like him. I don't have to pretend that I liked him as a public figure just because he was killed. Is such a display of hypocrisy a must?

Its already taken it pollical turn and so called liberals who wouldn't care rat's ass of the dude were dead or alive or hardly hared about him are using this opportunity to connect some mentally ill person with those who don't share their Bolshevik views of the world. What an Orwellian World we live in.

Are you insulting the people of Gdansk

Do you find facts insulting Dougie? Is the fact that sun rise in the east and sets in the west is somehow insulting to you? If not, why are you rumbling on? Are you intoxicated already to spew such a incoherent nonsense?

Yeah...I would like to know...I know nothing about Adamowicz' connections to Germany. How did he "invite Germans to meddle in polish affairs", please tell me more!

You have to know something, don't you. You would'nt just throw such dumb and loaded accusations blindly into the room, wouldn't you.

Oh pipe it down you cry baby. Take your ass into shape rather than vent your frustration on the internet. If you want to address some issues do it in a manner that adults do rather than resort to that useless, childish sarcasm.

he invited some German politicians to Gdansk, there was a big deal about it some time ago. the context was - defending democracy - i.e. fuel opposition toward Polish government. IF that is not meddling into internal Polish affairs what is?

I don't care what the issue is. The fact remains that they meddled. That is wrong. As wrong was for Adamowicz RIP was to invite them.

OMG ,reporting live :did u see that? 3 angels and holy chariot are descending from heaven, taking body of holy adamowicz into chariot!!!!!
the shouting towards kaczynski-"you shall not be fascist"!!!!!! or something like that.
cant wait for next part of this funeral....stay tuned boys

IF that is not meddling into internal Polish affairs what is?

Agreed....that is meddling. I wouldn't like it either if Poles would start coming over supporting a party I don't like.

There is a certain kind of insensitivity sometimes on the german side, mostly lefties...the same when some left/greens join a polish demonstration /or the protest against it, whatever. I don't think that is their place to be.

But be assured that this is not the country of Germany meddling in the country of Poland, that is solely between like minded politicians. In an even more integrating Europe for some more and easily acceptable than for others. After all, in Brussels these politicians share the same party alliance, so they want to support each other.

i have an idea how to fight "hate"
we should establish holy shrines in all those 20 Adamowicz apartments.even those he forgot to mention in hes financial report?
we will cure fascism in them.and pilgrimage will be obligatory for every citizen
what u think?

The difference is negligible in my opinion. Anyway I would like Germany to restrain itself and its politicians but much more important for me would be if politician in Poland were less likely to invite or be open to be seduced in this manner. It so tacky. Too many F peasants in key positions.

there are reasons...total complete blatant disregard of polish law by organizers.

Well, that difference might be negligible in your opinion but it's big enough to make your demand....

Anyway I would like Germany to restrain itself and its politicians

...impossible to fullfil.

There is no all powerful ruler in Berlin who has the right to decide for everybody what to do and what not. As long as these politicians don't speak officially for the german gov they are free to go where they want and to support whom they want and to meet with whom they want, even if that directly contradicts the official german gov policy.

Polish state is a mess and no mayor party do anything about it. They just whip up the hate and emotions for their own gain. This time is so called opposition time, they will exploit that unfortunate demise to the hilt. Nothing you can do about. Plus, all 'liberal', red, PC commissars across the borders will join in, it their golden opportunity to shine.

Do they care about Adamowicz? Most likely less that me. They will just use him to no end.
Ironside 53 | 12,363
19 Jan 2019 #234
.impossible.

I know that. It was kind of a wishful thinking on my part.

I don't have a grudge against German politicians. Rather against those 'poles' that empower them.

By the way a Polish person is a petty much a cultural construct. As such many so called Poles falls shot of it.

Once the Kaczyński-Salvini alliance comes into effect a great right wing wave will sweep across Europe and destroy the Bolsheviks running the EU.

Once the Kaczyński-Salvini alliance comes into effect a great right wing wave will sweep across Europe and destroy the Bolsheviks running the EU.

I doubt that very much!

Nationalists have a gread disadvantage. The moment they should work together and their own nation doesn't comes "first" they usually end all alliance. That's what makes them so weak in the end. That's why they will always lose. They might agree on immigration, but they disagree on all the rest.

See Polands closest ally Hungary for example, Orban has nothing against a much warmer relationship with Putin's Russia and his alliance with Kaczynski didn't stop him to vote for Tusk in Brussels.

Salvini is also alot more interested in Moscow than Warsaw (he was one of the few joining Putin in Moscow at the finals) and you won't seriously think that he will vote for pouring any more EU funds into Poland, he will will demand more for himself instead.

Matteo Salvini praises Putin ahead of Russia trip

Nationalists make for pathetic alliances! They will change nothing.

Kaczyński-Salvini alliance

Yeah sure. Both countries would still be in the Middle ages if it weren't for the EU. Gdansk, which we're talking about here, was a shi before EU funding came to the rescue, and large parts of Italy still are, because the likes of Salvini will put gutter politics before business. And do please try to enjoy your weekend with your muslim neighbours - I'm truly sorry that they have to suffer your intolerance. Why not come back here and rent a flat in a kamienice in Radom, or somewhere similar? You will feel right at home with the rabid lot in that town. I can guarantee that you will find plenty of narrow minded people just like you to spend time with. Bliss!
