People are still voting!!!:

That is a scandal. They weren`t able to predict that university cities will have more voters.
Hey, people, what if PSL and Hołownia betray the opposition and make a deal with PiS to create the gov??? :):):)

So, gumi and Grundi, don`t despair and feel depressed. Stay tuned coz anything is possible.

My first choice is Jagna Marczułajtis Walczak.

I kept my promise.

Don't even joke like that... You'll give me a heart attack... ;O They would be finished and would go to hell for that! ;(((

I kept my promise.

Is it allowed to take a photo of your voting ballot?

Is it allowed to take a photo of your voting ballot?

Still it is. If PiS ruled longer, it probably wouldn`t . :):):)
Actually, I didn`t hide taking it, coz I sat at a pupil desk without those secrecy screens.

PS. Actually, it was funny to see people who, after receiving their papers, were waiting for vacant screened desks to make a choice. As if anybody cared how they voted.

Let`s depend on expert`s words:

- PiS is following in the footsteps of the Swedish Social Democrats and the Spanish People's Party. You can be the largest party, but if you don't have an independent majority, you have to have allies, and PiS has no allies. Everyone declared that they did not want to form a government with them. Even their last hope, the Confederation, is too weak to do anything with them. There is no indication that PiS will be able to stay in power, although it seemed to them that all tricks are allowed and they can use all means to make it happen. The bad taste remains, and power must be given up anyway. Manipulations very often backfire on those who do them,he points out.

there was a 3 percent error in the exit polls during recent slovakian election.

Still it is.

That's good to know... It crossed my mind to take a photo of my vote, but I didn't know whether it's allowed and I didn't take my phone ;P

there was a 3 percent

I think it can be even bigger in Poland as (as I previously said) about 20 per cent of voters approached by IPSOS pollsters refused to answer the poll

@gumishu, Ipsos director said that it's usually 10 percent of voters that refuse to answer the poll:

money.pl/gospodarka/co-pokaza-wyniki-exit-poll-drugie-glosowanie-w-wyborach-odbywa-sie-przed-siedzibami-komisji-6952411146914752a.html

about 20 per cent of voters approached by IPSOS pollsters refused to answer the poll

Where did you get that info about 20 percent?

TVP info - but feel free to dispel the info

my prediction of the reall election results will be. PiS and konfa vote goes up. Third way will drop. Lewica who knows?

Even a few more points for PiS won't make a difference - Konfa are too weak to do anything and probably would avoid a coalition with PiS.

Electorate have spoken clearly that they don't want PiS. For PiS the path forward will be to ditch Kaczynski and the weird cult stuff and come closer to the centre.

The currency markets are sharing everyones good mood today - zloty up sharply against the Euro and Dollar.

Even a few more points for PiS won't make a difference -

if PiS has about 42 per cent vote (which is doubtful tbh) they are going to have a majority in Sejm - FYI

Tusk is the new viceroy of Brussels in PL. Estrogenes will be added to the water and free visas will be handled for free to immigrants versus being sold by PiS as before. Everyone will be forced to eat ze Ukranian wheat and also bugs.

Auschwitz will be re-opened and antivaxxers will go in the chimneys.

Because the Irish don't want them.

Wrong as usual.

the most boring poster ever.

If you find me boring and want to have a lively discussion about politics, domestic or international, see how you get on with other Irish people. Here's a statement by an Irish person back in 2021:

"The Party of Lincoln" is dead, but that died when Barry Goldwater and then Ronald Reagan became Presidential candidates."

Agree or disagree?

If you want to discuss US politics with an informed, opinionated Irish public, try your luck on the forum linked below. I've linked you to the thread on US politics. You should be able to cope with that one.

or perhaps join the discussion on Wokeism.

these are not Polish metaphores: the article is on a German website

It's written by a Pole. He's a professor at the University of Warsaw.

A pity that the result of the election is inconclusive this morning - it's now a case of who will manage to form a coalition. Fingers crossed for a brighter future!

it's demonizing PiS, simples (a bandit with a knife - as if PiS threatens anyone apart from a narrow elite that wants to feed on the poor)

I think Duda will use the veto sparingly and I don't think a new government will provoke it on say Sunday shop opening or abortion.

If Duda just vetoes at will that will just make PiS even less popular - they need to start attracting younger voters

I must say that beside PiS my cherry on top is Konfederacja result. I'm just so happy about that 😀
gumishu  15 | 6193
16 Oct 2023   #622
they need to start attracting younger voters

they need to give up on those voters actually at least until those voters hit some kind of hard bottom thanks to 'business-friendly' policies of PO and company - or rather give up on those voters thoroughly because when they taste 'liberal' econimic policies they will turn to Lewica

These are traitors.

"Demochristians" who can with everyone except with PiS. So it means that with the Brussels globo homo and the lewica they can.

There's a danger that in places abroad where PiS lost big time votes won't be included, because they're not getting their protocols accepted!!! :O:

wiadomosci.wp.pl/ogromne-problemy-z-glosami-z-zagranicy-czesc-moze-przepasc-6952851800390560a

"Electoral commission in Hague has sent the electoral protocols at 5 am. They still didn't get the confirmation from the National Electoral Commission and they're waiting. Those people have been working for 40 hours non-stop. The same is happening in electoral commissions in Belgium, Spain, Sweden, etc. There are cases of people fainting. Is this incompetence or sabotage? There are 4 hours left. - Krzysztof Lisek, former PO MP, has informer on X."

WTF is going on??? Someone should answer for this!! 🤬

A nice post.... and a reminder that what many Polish people now take for granted is still an elusive dream for some...

According to the latest official results, with 56% of polling stations:

PIS: 37.88%
KO: 28.25%
TD: 14.37%
LEW: 8.30%
KON: 7.27%

That would be in mandates:
PIS 211
KO 137
TD 66
LEW 27
KON 18

So PIS + KON = 229

Opposition: KO+TD+LEW = 230

plus one German minority member.
Hopefully he will be on the right side.

The minority always goes with the majority - I guess PiS can buy at least one third way member.

😁

I guess PiS can

Are you for PiS? You know they will always be against your beloved russian.

I must admit, it would be enormously humorous to me, if PiS manages to cobble together a ruling coalition through bribing and threatening a couple MPs.

I would expect Poland to then shut up, about the state of democracy in Russia.

russian mentality on full display.... voting needs to massaged through corruption and violence.... russians only find humor in the degregadation of civilization.

not today Ivan.
