Queues quite big at our polling station - all ages. I think the high turnout might benefit PiS in the suburbs.

High turnout hasn't traditionally helped them, I'm seeing increases in voting numbers in the west...

We'll see what it means in a few minutes....

No, maf. Hundreds of polling stations have run out of voting papers. Local councils are delivering them but tens of people are still queueing. The results will be announced later.

it is an exit polls by IPSOS - from what I read IPSOS said there is about 2 per cent margin of uncertainty with their exit polls

Seems PiS took back a lot of voters from Konfederacja. But hopefully we will see the back of them now

248 MPs for the democratic opposition...

... 200 for PiS, 12 for Konfederacja.

Even 2% error margin won't change much - PiS won't have majority.

Bye, bye Mr Kaczyński - time for well-deserved retirement :)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, kurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrwa!!! :D

Kania, we share your happiness, too. Come back to the forum coz we need you to discuss further political developments in Poland.
I promise I will be nice. That is my newest resolution to celebrate the victory over PiS. :):):)

That's really bad news for Poland, EU's confidence and arrogance will increase due to the fact they think they influenced the election in their own favour.

I only hope Tusk won't cancel any deals with America and start some shady deals with EU beurocrats and Putin to benefit himself and his party, cause that would more Poland more then what hurtful stuff PiS has been doing -.-

Oh and expect murder and civil disobedience to increase too -.- This is a dark day

@pawian
I wish I was completely stupid, I wish I was wrong...

But by comparing you to Tusk and his ilk, and how much I see an obedient patriotic soldier is the furthest there is from you. I can only expect the opposite to increase and bagnify, meaning

Abortions, more protests and strikes, un-Co-operative state beurocrats and other civil servants. Hostile new media centres and stations popping up like mad after TVP get's shut down, so I need to go on?

@feniks

I see you consider me a PiS supporter, try and make yourself feel better by thinking you are hurting me.

Poland will unfortunately pay for this, cause "eating cyanide" infront of their faces "will show them!" *facepalm*

I am glad I just moved recently, now it will be more bland and make no difference if I am in Poland or Oslo.

Thanks for ruining Poland? -.-

Calm down. There was an election PiS had the most votes but not enough. It's not the end of the world. Why are so many PiS supporters so paranoid?

If PiS hadn't spent 8 years treating everyone who didn't support them 100% like a mortal enemy and traitor maybe they'd have better results.

people have seen the light :)

But not in the tunnel!!! Remember, when you see a tunnel with the light at the end, stay away!!! hahahaha

you are hurting me.

No, you hurt yourself, darling. Democracy still rulez in Poland. Accept it or get out.

It's not the end of the world. Why are so many PiS supporters so paranoid?

For PiS gangsters it is like the end of the world.

I expect PiS and Duda to use their first place to prolong the government formation process for as long as possible, trying to form a minority government using the fact that the president is theirs. I don't remember if that means they are guaranteed 1 or two vote of confidence attempts for their proposal before the "opposition" one can be voted.

Unless the actual results allow KO-Third Way a majority I see early elections 2 years down the line, coalition with leftards with barely a majority of seats is unlikely to be stable.

you are not following European politics - if PO and company are able to form a government Europe will probably turn into a federation and then you will NEED to learn about European politics (most probably the hard way)

Exit poll is probably rather unreliable with a turnout this high. But I don't see PiS forming a government.
pawian  221 | 26146

Right now they have 248 seats. But we need to wait for final results. Let`s be optimistic as we have been so far.

It may turn out that konfa is underestimated in exit polls because its voters are antisocial, scared children who sneak around the corridor and pretend not to hear the pollster calling them.

Hostile new media centres and stations popping up like mad after TVP get's shut down

Welcome to the 21st century.... younger people (under 25 or so) do not watch tv and PiS has not captive internet audience....

It will be interesting to see if reżimowa continues it's hardline PiS pushing...

neak around the corridor and pretend not to hear the pollster calling them.

I heard on TV that 20 per cent of the approached voters refused to answer the poll

The youth didn`t let Poland down. Thank you all enlightened educators who have been working with young people in high schools and universities!!!!

The exit poll conducted by Ipsos shows that the Civic Coalition (KO) received the most votes among voters aged between 18 and 29 - 28.3%.
The Left came in second place, trusted by 17.7 percent. voters in the youngest age group. The podium is closed by Trzecia Droga and Konfederacja, which obtained a result of 16.9%.

PiS achieved the worst result among large committees - 14.9%.

The exit poll shows that the turnout among young voters was 68.8%.

The youth didn`t let Poland down.

Feel lucky. In one poll, American youth - aka morons with degrees - were in favor of abolishing the 1st Amendment.

People are still voting!!!:

wiadomosci.wp.pl/godzina-po-zakonczeniu-ciszy-oni-nadal-moga-glosowac-6952550381046720a

pap.pl/aktualnosci/krytyczna-sytuacja-w-jednej-z-okw-w-krakowie-kolejki-takie-ze-urzad-dowozi-dodatkowe

People are queuing for hours to vote, one lady said on TV that she's been waiting since 14:50 :O 😳

But gradually I think Polish people are beginning to become less apathetic about the voting process and beginning to realize that your vote can actually make a difference.

According to exit poll this is the highest turnout in the history of Poland since the 1989 partially free elections! It's 72,9%, so even higher than then!:
