What I think will happen (based on various polls)...

1. PiS wins the elections but doesn't have majority of mandates.

2. Duda already said that he will give the mission of creating the new government to the representative of the party that wins (even if they don't have majority), so PiS will have to form a government.

3. About a month usually passes since the president's appointment until the first gathering of new Sejm.

4. During this month PiS will buy themselves the missing MPs (their corruption capabilities are almost unlimited), so that they will have the majority.

5. We will have the third term of PiS in power.

As much as I hate the scenario it does look like the most likely one. :-/

It will end with Poland leaving the EU and squandering its chance to be a normal country.

It will end with Poland leaving the EU

blah blah blah, we have heard that since 2014, polexit what a joke.. anyway you don't have a polish id and u don't even bother to vote. so we can just call u a german kraut now. With your common europe bs that u don't need polish id you know that germans residing in poland who want to vote in german elections need current german id? there is no EU passport or EU ID idiot, there is only nation states

Duda already said that he will give the mission of creating the new government to the representative of the party that wins

This is normal democratic procedure in every european country, why blame dudz?

The achievements are unquestionable, but a change in the political arena in Poland would be very useful. Then it would perhaps be even better.

@amiga500
The left in general are useally very bad at making a good assessment of a situation. I would say that life under 8 years of PiS improved DESPITE PiS and their governing. Mostly due to watchful eye of journalists and the competitional threat of opposition parties PiS was unable to fully control society and Poland was able to flourish thanks to that inefficiency of ruling that likes of @pawian so much dislikes with huge fury.

Just compare it to Putinist Russia, where good men await orders just in case to survive. While smart men enrich themselves at the cost of the public and their next man on a gigantic scale cause they know how to avoid punishment, who to side with when and how to maximise profits.

In Poland however, PiS tries to strengthen the state as much as possible (which is commendable, a state is meant to function, although preferably with as many limitations as possible in case of bad rulers)

While PiS trying to use the strength of the state (bribes, offices and corruption etc) to increase and broaden their reach of supporters and reward supporters (very useal politically) isn't commendable.

Some parties/ideologies try to reduce a states "koryto" as much as possible (very american/Liberalism stray of thought) while others try to turn the state to perform as many services as possible as the voters needs or wants to get as much as possible out of the taxes that are deemed necessary or inevitable to pay for. (Socialist/European mentality).

Bruh, KO doesn't give a sh*it, they just want easy cozy seats to live off citizen taxes. The most useless and parasitic party that we have had. And if they unlock any EU fund flows they will do it in the worst possible ways. A vote for KO is a vote for PiS, just 4 years later.

If anyone sees an opinion poll and wonders how that translates into mandates, here's a useful tool...

kalkulatorsejmowy.pl/?pis=32.3&konfederacja=9&ko=26.4&trzecia_droga=12.1&lewica=8.1&pozostali=12.1

... and you can enter your own numbers too. It also gives you the number of opposition mandates that they would get if they started from a single electoral list. Quite interesting.

5. We will have the third term of PiS in power.

Come on, don`t be so pessimistic like a typical fatalistically oriented Russian. Believe in yourself, Poland and Goddess` support! :):):)

The most useless and parasitic party that we have had

That is purely PiS.

During this month PiS will buy themselves the missing MPs (their corruption capabilities are almost unlimited), so that they will have the majority.

It depends on how many seats they get. If they get 190 seats, it will be impossible for them to corrupt 40 PMs.

No, I didn`t attend the march in Warsaw or any big city near my place. I am too tired with sleep deficits after working week so I need to take a rest on Sundays. :):):)

Well this is disturbing. Just months after the Smolensk disaster, in 2011 Tusk signs an official agreement between Polish Special Services (SKW) and Russian FSB to deeply co-operate, that was hidden from USA. In the agreement, it stipulates Poland must inform Russia of developments/information in Polish-Nato relations. During many secret meetings between the agencies, head of FSB receiving Polish Sabre, and Heads of Polish Military Intelligence wearing russian army hats. WTF?..

Do you really think that the CIA has no contacts with the FSB? How naive you are.

Do you really think that the CIA has no contacts with the FSB?

Of course there are informal contacts the CIA and FSB didn't have a written agreement stating co-operation in military intelligence regarding threats to Russia did they?

In Article 2, point. B FSB-SKW contract we read:

"The Parties shall assist each other in the following main directions of cooperation in the field of military counterintelligence: counteracting the intelligence and subversive activities of special services of third countries directed against the Russian Federation or the Republic of Poland".

Meanwhile, Article 8 of the North Atlantic Treaty says that none of the NATO member states may conclude international agreements that would be contrary to that treaty.

According to one of the creators of the series "Reset", prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, the agreement is an act of betrayal of Poland and allies.

This million plus was in whole Poland. Independent journalists estimate 600.000 - 800.000 people demonstrated in Warsaw. Still such figures make it the biggest political demonstration in the world this year or even decade.

Excellent. Such numbers make PIS gangsters aware that if they try to play dirty tricks with election results, a million or more people will come to Warsaw to express their disappointment. The PiS police won`t be able to stop the angry mob from taking the Parliament, Gov headquarters, Presidential palace, the state TV building and Kaczyński`s house. It will be a beautiful revolution if PiS tries to fix the results or refuse to accept them after they lose.

PS. When necessary, I will come to Warsaw coz I love the city, my fave in Poland. It has been a few years since our last visit. HA!

howl at the moon.

You are mistaking the species now. I howl at bananas, not moons. hahahaha

hahah you've lost your mind

Actually, no. I am only warning PIS gangsters of what is going to happen if they try to mess with election results.
amiga500  5 | 1529

if they try to mess with election results.

How? it's not possible, western standards, paper balots and Państwowa Komisja Wyborcza is independent, all parties are allowed observers at every counting booth. By suggesting something like this you are undermining polish democracy.

Are you one of those trump-lite people that think PiS stole/messed with the last presidential election somehow, and trzaszkowski is the legitimate president?? I have heard this in passing sometimes on opposition media.

let me call you an ambulance in that case, they can put baboon in a strait jacket and take you to the loony bin for some Electroconvulsive Shock Therapy. hahaha

Yes, correct, all of this works fine. And 1 day after the elections PiS proclaims everything was rigged by Tusk and company and they won`t accept the results.

PiS know that when they lose power, they will have to answer for all illegal acts they have committed during their rule. Some of them will end up in prison. So, they will catch at a razor to avoid such a gloomy end.

PiS are a democratic party and besides the Americans won't let them do that.

answer for all illegal acts they have committed during their rule. Some of them will end up in prison.

Again, the Americans won't let PO do that, they want a stable Poland,. There is a war on you know, no time for Polish family disputes like this. Why you think even the watered down parliamentary commission into PO and russian influence never happened?

PiS are a democratic party

Pawian wants to have it both ways at the same time: Poland is a democracy, Poles are smart, the system is fine, all is cool and good but somehow PiS is evil.
pawian  221 | 26144

Don`t be silly. PiS won`t care about any Americans. :):)

Besides, I was talking about sentences by independent courts.

Besides, I was talking about sentences by independent courts.

You have short memory it seems every election there is talk of opposition from all sides about putting people in jail, for last 20 years, but it has not happened yet :)
