Admittedly, beyond his role in the EU I don't know too much about his reputation domestically. However this article is a prime example of when a headline and the first part of the article contradict each other lol.

The latest achievement of Tusk - his party has risen in polls to the second position after PiS. Not bad.

The latest achievement of Tusk

Is that he has proven, beyond doubt, that he cares more for the survival of the
European Union than he does about Poland.

In my opinion survival of the European Union means survival of Poland ( independent Poland ).

I think the word "independent" is the key here. As long as the law of a given country has superiority over the EU law, and a country is not singled out/discriminated for not following some silly leftist agenda, then I suppose we can still talk about a Union of independent countries.

Yes sure the low of a given country must have superiority over the EU low but if the given coutry officialy accept the EU low they must also obey the low.

Then the EU doesn`t make sense if it becomes a rule.

No, the objective of the Union is to act as a union, not single states on their own. What you suggest is a kind of loose partnership, not union. You know it is the Kremlin`s favourite tune.

No, the objective of the Union is to act as a union, not single states on their own.

Only in the specified areas the nations states have agreed to devolve/share sovereignty, as stated in the european treaties, and not one damm inch more, no matter how much you want to destroy the concept of poland, soviet baboon.

Tell that to Germany as they have passed such a law.

Tusk is a two faced piece of garbage and career politician.
He doesn't care about Poland.
All he cares about is himself.
Like most politicians.

Tusk is touring Poland to meet and talk to people. Today he visited Gdańsk. Among others, he mentioned the Russian order which prevails in Poland under PiS.

He also challenged Jarosław Kaczyński to come out of his hole and talk to Tusk face to face.

Did you hear Tusk is secretly running talks

That won´t produce any results, cause Tusk can´t be trusted with any promises towards Konfederacja. He will gladly break any promise, obligations towards Konfederacja. Cause of their "anti-EU" stance

A successful enough Premier and almost the only Polish political figure (with Sikorski) to have a good reputation overseas.

@pawian
I was taking care of three black cats this weekend, didn't see any crystal balls. Should be fine

One only has to look at Tusks past behaviour and his supporters. he doesn't seem to repent nor change much. So it's fairly easy to guess what he will do.
