Valentines Day & Polish men

when they celebrate white hetero men.

That will never happen.

Morgan Freeman got it right, there shouldn't be any month set aside for anything or anyone.

Watch the effete leftist interviewer squirm when called out on such patronizing beliefs:

That sucks, man...I was hoping to be wrong at least once and thought it would be now...No such luck...

Valentines Day is a Hallmark holiday. The worlds greatest sales gimmick.

The worlds greatest sales gimmick.

It prepares men to get used to parting with their money in a relationship.

True, but I still fell for it, bought my wife a bunch of roses and a box of chocolates...... no harm done.... and much appreciated.

Valentines Day is a Hallmark holiday. The worlds greatest sales gimmick.

I priced myself out of that market by telling my wife how much I love her every day.

It prepares men to get used to parting with their money in a relationship.

I never buy my wife gifts. 30 years ago, I bought her a set of kitchen knives. I thought she was going to stab me...I learned my lesson. You want it, buy it, and leave me out of it...

Hardly.

Valentine's roses linked to labour exploitation, including child labour

The Dark Side of Valentine's Day Celebrations: Child Labour in the Cocoa Industry

and much appreciated.

Really? One gift that will wither away and be forgotten about and another which will pack on the pounds and be a daily reminder.

Are you trying to impersonate me?

In our family, gifts are only for the kids. Adults get hugs.

I, I, I, I again.

A Polish male acquaintance recently told me that "Walentynka" in Poland
is celebrated quite a bit differently from in Polish-American communities here
in the States.

How is it different?

It's Walentynki. And it's still quite a new celebration with not much tradition.

Thanks, sorry about the typo!
That's interesting because I know in certain countries, the custom of
Saint Valentine's Day is connected with older Christian practices.

The man giving chocolates to his beloved is though relatively recent,
I've read.

Perhaps the practice is simply not as common in Poland.

All that gift-giving was invented by and for poor people. Rich people don't need gifts. They want attention, not trinkets.
That's why rich women push the decency envelope. See Oscars and other bs like this...

Is that a bad thing?

If a girl gets a Barbie doll instead of new shoes, it is bad. If she gets all she needs and a Barbie doll, it's good.

So that's a no.

And a Barbie doll is a strange Valentine's gift.

Not for girls under 12, but they don't celebrate Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is stupid.

Gifts and flowers are for apologies when you do something really stupid and she hates your guts.

I am an angel so I have nothing to apologize for.

Your poor abused wife must have a room full of flowers and chocolates.

Actually, I agree with you, Rich. However, I think for completely different reasons.
EVERY day should be Valentine's Day in a happy marriage!

The feminism ruined woman and marriage. Many cuckservatives blame man who don't wanna serious relationship/marriage but marriage is no longer a good deal for a man.

Are you married?

The feminism ruined woman and marriage.

No, it just ruined marriage for men who wanted wives to be their servants :))) At least in some parts of the world. But there are still many countries where marriage is a much better deal for men than for women, so you can always move.

marriage is no longer a good deal for a man.

For hundreds or thousands of years it wasn't a good deal for women. And now that this imbalance changes somewhat, the whining of men begins :)))

Yeah, but it happened long ago. If I was in my twenties today though... deciding to go marry in the age of average 20% unemployment rates, chink slave labour, national decline, insane leftist laws and automation is insane.

For hundreds or thousands of years it wasn't a good deal for women.

Since women have obtained equal rights, and presumably are considered responsible adult human beings, then they should share equally in the financial risks of marriage, in the risks of having only partial custody of any children the union produces, etc.

People were getting married in Jewish ghettos, concentration camps and during the Warsaw Uprising. So what unemployment or automation has anything to do with it?

then they should share equally in the financial risks of marriage, in the risks of having only partial custody of any children the union produces, etc.

Sorry, I don't exactly understand what you mean. What "risks" are you talking about?

So what do feminists like yourself bring to any relationship?

Why would any feminist be flummoxed by this question? :)

Sorry, still don't get your point.

You're embarrassed because you can't give an answer to a very simple question. :)
