wartime Polish film "Zakazane piosenki" (1944

Are you sure?

Perhaps several years after the war however Poland was a busy place in 1944 and not making films. Publishing books and performing pays in Polish were both banned. They both happened however a film is a bit harder to do.

Warszawianka

A wonderful. Song and part of Warsaw's Socialist heritage.

1947

Great that they were producing films so soon after.

There were actually a few plays written and performed in Warsaw during the war, by Miron Białoszewski. He, the other actors and probably the audience too risked being murdered by the occupiers for doing that.

Urszula used to sing for the famous group Budka Suflera in 1980s. The group`s leader, Romuald Lipko, composed for her many songs, some of which became eternal hits.

Dandelions, kites, wind

We will wake up cuddled
At midday of summer
At the end of the world
In a great meadow,
Warm and trembling

Everything will be so new
and so first.
The blood is so thick,
so grateful to you.
With you, safe,
above us

Dandelions, kites, wind
Far away from the concrete world
Like paralyzed
Divinely tired
Listen
Music on strings plays
To you in the sky I followed
you, I breathe You
I burn and disappear
Come with me

@pawian

This is quite a nice tune and she had a good voice.
Just a shame that you were not patriotic enough to post it to the Polish Music thread.

Like this one:

The Big Trip

Sleepless night, look at the stars` flight, the planet of tears has crashed
No one saved us from it
I can't live torn in half a little there and a little here
Too late, the explosion has already happened

A great departure into another sky without stars
The stars are flying, I will soon fly away too
Sky Atlas - that's the only thing I can give you
Medicine for anxiety, medicine for sleep, for the great morning fear

The hail of acorns will no longer hide us, what is supposed to happen will happen
But you will still remain in me
If we are not destined to fly to the island of roses beyond the sea of suns
Save this flight on your shoulder

Urszula used to sing for the famous group Budka Suflera in 1980s.

In 1990s she began to sing with other musicians or solo.

Here is one of her best songs from 1996 . Amazing music and lyrics - pure poetry which she wrote herself.

For sleep

For sleep
I will never take anything again
I know
It is easier to leave than to live
And on the sea of our common years
I count the islands full of sad dates
Velvety reefs
When we were so happy
I see our trees
That time has bent
I know
Our love full of storms
Sometimes it cuts
In both directions like a knife
And it hurts you deeply
It is hard to live together - separately it is bad
I guess we will always
be so confused
A common address our children dreams
So help me find those days

Strange
How little sleep I need
I hear again
The weak pulse of my life
Love is like rain
That flows down my feet Alone
next to myself
I am here again
...
