you are asking for my professional help

No, I already have someone to muck out the kennels.

rappers and other filth

I'd not call them 'filth' however most pop music, including rap, is banal and formulaic.

young man, I believe that you think too much, and probably also consider goth songs and art house films to be things of great value, maybe even reading old science fiction from time to time. let me tell you that these are but small islands of tranquility in the ocean of pure essence of British officers' honor, reeking to the third sky as they gnaw at the flimsy rocky shores. the treasury of non-British cultures and the cultures which were not completely destroyed by British and their analogues (most notably, Islamic) is practically bottomless, considering that a lifetime is not enough to cover even 0,00000001 per cent of things which are even more valuable than, for instance, the best flicks of a modern master Kurosawa.

The films yes, science fiction not so much.

pure essence of British

So very hard to achieve, despite so many aspiring to that.

Kurosawa

Overrated.

what's so hard about closing your ears and eyes to the world and blabbering about how civilized you are real loud while your pal steals valuables from the crowd of gawkers?

It could be a long wait.

These things do take time, after all...... (drumroll) Gnome wasn't built in a day.

It's always transparent when others are jealous.

you can learn it, some ten years of devoting 3-4 hours of your time to learning a language every day, and you will get over your linguistic handicap. it is really worth it, man - I think that people who are nationally/linguistically handicapped, or just shortish or ugly for that matter (think Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Hitler, Queen Victoria), sometimes at least try to build an empire to get their revenge... it does not help though, and you know that deep inside.

you will get over your linguistic handicap

I'm lucky not to have one, except with a particular language that's not Indo-European.

some ten years of devoting 3-4 hours of your time

Or three decades of 24/7...

Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Hitler, Queen Victoria

Queen Vic was beautiful inside. Hitler (since we're in a thread about gnomes) was crap at languages. Interestingly he was probably in the same English class at high school as Ludwig Wittgenstein (born 4 days apart, both attended the Linz Realschule at the same time). Neither did well in the class (2 out of 5 in their exam) however Wittgenstein blossomed later. Stalin was extremely good with languages however he never got the hang of English despite trying to learn it for many years. Genghis Khan? His strengths were elsewhere.

By the way, can you recommend any good books on the subject of Irish mythology? You mentioning that great war kind of rings the bell, maybe i want to read more about it.

Irish history and mythology are pretty much inseparable so I'd suggest you read the first history of Ireland written by the monks, the Leabhar Gabhála Éireann (The Book of the Taking of Ireland, also called The Book of Invasions). The basic gist is that Ireland was invaded five times by supernatural races, the last of them being the Tuatha Dé Danann and finally by humans who reached a pact with the Tuatha who retreated underground but who still come out from time to time, which is why people may encounter them.

If you want a quick potted history of the war, this is accurate:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuatha_D%C3%A9_Danann

For the full mythology you need to read the Four Cycles:

Mythological Cycle: The first Irish mythological cycle details the arrival and disappearance of the first inhabitants of Ireland, a group of godlike or supernatural people called Tuatha Dé Dannan. The disappearance of these people gave rise to the Aos Sí, more contemporary mythical Irish creatures including leprechauns, changelings, and the Banshee.

Ulster Cycle: The second cycle is thought to have taken place in the 1st century, around the time of the birth of Jesus Christ. It details quests and feats of ancient heroes, specifically in the areas of Ulster, in the north, and Leinster, in the east.

Fenian Cycle: The third cycle recounts the journey of the hero Fionn mac Cumhaill and his mighty warriors, known as the Fianna.

Historical Cycle: The final Irish mythological cycle, known as the Cycle of the Kings, is the history and genealogy of ancient Irish royals as told by court poets.

Unfortunately there is really no single source for any of this. No single book covers the whole thing or even a whole cycle but there is a collection of translations of tales from all four cycles by Cross and Slover called "Ancient Irish Tales" which is pretty comprehensive.

Oh and there's also this one, very good.

I discovered this for myself, when I read a history of the Settlement of the Pale, from an Irish perspective. It was a hilarious read, not unlike what the Ukrainians publish today about their history.

The only thing better than this would be a thread with the title: All Religions Are BS
Or: Those Who Believe in God Will Believe Anything, Including Jim Jones and Hitler

If you are referring to me, I never said I believe Putin or RT.
I can only compare them with Western garbage - both people and outlets. Hands down, Putin and RT win. Just as you win when compared to jon.

This is not an indictment of Christianity, but an attempt to show traces of Pagan thought in popular Polish attitudes towards religion. As a good Christian man, you should only support this.

Let us stamp out the last bits of the old world, so men like Crow, with their Svetovids - can never hope to have a chance at breaking us. Fortify thine soul with the armor of Christ.

What is the difference between paganism and any other religion?
How about a true God and a false one?

What is the difference between paganism and any other religion?

Only that Paganism is informed by the 200,000 years of Homo Sapiens lived experience, while "religion" is a synthetic creation by power hungry individuals.

As a good Christian man,

I am not agood Christian man. I am a bad man who can differentiate between truth and falsehood as well as valuable and worthless.

Like Crow, with their Svetovids - can never hope to have a chance at breaking us.

What are you talking about? Was he even in the race? Maybe he is converting you but other than that its funny you would even bring him up in this context.

So tell me what you know, based on your reading. It's too much I suppose to expect that you remember the title of the book or the author?

Now this is interesting.

Do you mean Jewish tools? For what can breed such skills better than infinite Talmudic analysis?

Do you say that the Muslims, with their many jurist schools, do not practice the same?

I ask in good faith, can you argue why Reason is Christian?

remember the title of the book or the author?

Novichok  5 | 7899

Yes, if we define God properly. My God is my conscience.

Looking back, the only thing I regret is arguing with my wife. Other than that, I could apply for sainthood. That's how boring my life is.

To answer your question...My wife would tell me to get out of the kitchen and not bother her while she is cooking...
