Example.... i have a friend who goint to receive money from the parents, instead he be happy, he told, yes a going to receive money, but i have to go to the bank, and maybe is close, o maybe they dont want to give the money, and the end he become angry......

its amazing how the people turn the positve to negative, and how they turn to the negativo to in tragedy.......

Well, this isn't really such good news. When you receive money from your parents that means you're unable to provide for yourself ;)

ok torq but we dont have to live in the past, the past give us culture, history, but we living in the present, today, know.

In the past happen ugly things we have to learn to be prepare that those things no happen again, and learn about it, no always be sorry or sad, anyway this happen more the 50 years already.

we living in 2009, no 1939

Yeah, I guess you're right. You sound like a pretty optimistic person, hfm.
Where are you from, mate?

But I am an optimist. Like most Poles. It's just that we (if I may speak for all Poles) are also realists. Being too optimistic can be often the worst thing to do.

I work with wood as a hobby. I measure twice before I measure the third time. That's not pessimism. That's realism. I could have measured the wrong piece of wood, or used metric instead of SAE :)

Where are you from, mate?

Born, raised and educated mostly in Poland. Living in Canada.

I wish those ******* from Neostrada would double/triple check a few things before they act.

hey, ok ok, let's think optimistic now:
both people are needed, without pessimists you wouldn't notice and appreciate optimists :)

the optimist motivate to do things, and pesimist motivate you to dont do things, so the best is to be realistic, and keep moving with calculate risk

To the Krakow subject. They have to do something with homeless people, they are everywhere in city centre which make me sad every time when I am in Old dragon city.

There is a joke Poles devised to reflect this:

A family of rabbits. The Doe asks her husband to scoot over to the Goose's house, just a few blocks away, to borrow a kitchen robot.

- Nah, she won't lend us her robot - answers the Buck.
- How do you know unless you ask her first?
- Nah, she won't.
- Just go and give it a try at least
- Pointless. I will only loose time.
- Dang, just give it a try!

So the poor rabbit hubby takes off and walks to the goose's house. On his way there he's still not convinced that the goose will lend them the kitchen robot.

"Of course she won't" he thinks to himself
"No way she will" he convinces himself in his thoughts
"I just don't see this happening, no way in hell she'll lend me the robot"

He thus keeps pumping and winding himself up with every step he makes and eventually finds himself at the goose's door.

Bang! Bang! the rabbit angrilly "knocks" on the door.

The goose, all frightened opens the door.

"I don't give a flying #@$# about your kitchen robot!!!" - yells the rabbit and turns around to get back home.

I hope that you aware what most of your countrymen would have said if someone living in uk said something along that line?
" shut your gob if you dont like it get the f*** out of my country"

I think that if someone decided to live abroad should not complain about chosen place of residence. I mean he can but it make him ***** - Wroclaw Boy comes to mind.

The one body that's got its act very well together is the Catholic Church (a.k.a. Krk). Who else can - or would - ban the film "RELIGULOUS" from the cinemas? Everything else is as well organised as a looneybin.

If you want something done (ie building or house repairs), it may as well be carried out by a Mexican snail on Valium with heart disease!

I've had much more stuff nicked in one year in Poland than in 20 in UK; and that by my own immediate family - PEASANTS!

On the positive side, there's (still) cheapISH beer and vodka (and lard!). If you're into eating pork (pigs have about 90% human genes), that's cheap too. Make the most of it; the prices will shoot up come the Euro.

If any Pole in the UK said they hated something , and had a reason for doing so i don,t think any reasonable Brit would have a problem with that...Do you think that just because a person is not born in Poland , but lives and works there they must accept everything in Poland as perfect and wonderfull...?

And as for it being YOUR country , ha , if it really was your country i promise you i would not have moved here , would not have visited the place , and would spend every waking moment discouraging others from coming here...But its not your country , and thankfully most of the people i have met here are not biggoted prize tossers like you...

No hard feelings?

Ok , i did overeact somewhat....As anyone who has followed any of my threads will know , i do not hate Poland , far from it , i love Poland , and its people , but as most Polish people will agree there are a few things that are not so good about Poland , actually i could do a far bigger list of things i hate about England , but its not English forums...In my case the three things i have listed are the things that have caused me the most problems during my years in Poland....To be fair , my comments should have been on the ..things you hate ABOUT poland , not on the reasons you hate Poland thread , but i just decided to have a go about some organisations that seem intent on getting lots of money from people for doing a really bad job...I can see your point about Wroclaw boy complaining all the time , but sometimes people make mistakes , and find themselves in a situation they are stuck with and do not like....I think i have had a far tougher time than he has , but i expected it to be tough , and i am a survivor i intend to stick it out in Poland till i make it , or die trying.....Anyways , as you say , no hard feelings , ( shake hands ) I apolagise to you..

I don't think anybody should hate a country they choose to live in. I've never seen a foreigner chained and forced to live in a country they wanted to leave...the way back is always open.

Come on, Eurola, there is nothing wrong saying what you like and dislike about the country that you live in, there is no way that you can find a perfect country, i choose to live Poland, and im happy with my choice, but i dislike some things here.

for example i dont like the fact to you can express your self as free as you can do and another country, why the people is so close here

1. The Catholic Church and Religion
2. Closemindedness(is that a word)
3. The economy sucks

2. Closemindedness(is that a word)

That's narrowmindedness. The Krk /Kościół rzymskokatolicki/ is responsible for Poland still being stuck in mediaeval times. They have made Poland a joke abroad. As for the bad economy, it's originally the red revenge at the end of the Communist era. They ensured that the Western system so long fought and desired for by the ordinary Polish people was the worst possible form. Their mindset was: "chciałeś, to masz!".

So, Polish Church and Polish politics; the combination of the current systems couldn't be worse for Poland.

Don't be so extreme in your judgement, polish church took a big part in the fight against communism, as much as I dislike certain things about church and religion, I'm still able to see those things.

Generalising:
1. homogeneous society, lack of multiculturalism and following it closely different forms of chauvinism and fobias
2. politicians
3. beauracracy.. in micro and macro scale..
