the hundreds lol mostly 1/2 evaporate

I was talking to a friend and he said they made millions,a film crew of 150 gets visa,100 are fake who pay minimum 100kUSD each, usually 150K USD,even with 100kUSD the producer/financer with 100 people has made10 mil USD (divided among the GROUP* of honchos)and that was just from 1 film. Most reached US and many driving trucks after getting work permit by filing asylum cases making over 100k a yr with no expenses as they live in the rigs and get food compensations.Even the guys I met in stores and gas stations make 15$ cash an hr and work for 13/16 hrs a day 7 days make there investment in a year 6 months meanwhile there case runs for 5/7 years and even if the decision is negative they go home a millionaire in USD and care less. They even do that in Czech Republic,Hungry.Lithuania etc countries.

The scam exposed in Poland is way bigger and in most eastern European Schengen countries, probably still working except elections in Poland exposed it.The people who were caught were newbees and very small fish.

Hey Milo/carpet seller that might have got you a nice retirement LOL.

Hello all, your desi brother here, stuck in the land of pierogi and snow! Let me tell you, life in Poland for an Indian like me is NO CHAMATKAR, only full-on STRUGGLE! I came here thinking, arre, Europe, so cool, so modern, but bhai, nobody told me it's like trying to find spicy masala in a bowl of plain boiled potatoes! EVERYTHING IS BLAND HERE! The food, oh my God, where is the mirchi, the tadka, the garam masala? I go to restaurants, order "spicy" food, and they give me something that tastes like my grandma's diet plan! I'm DYING for a proper chicken tikka or even one decent vada pav, but all I get is bread, sausage, and more bread. I tried cooking myself, but finding proper spices here is like searching for gold in a coal mine. SEND HELP (and a packet of MDH masala, please)!

And don't get me started on the weather! Back in India, we complain about 40°C heat, but at least we don't FREEZE like a kulfi in a deep freezer! Poland winters are BRUTAL, bhai! I wear three sweaters, two jackets, and still my teeth are doing bhangra from the cold. The sun? Hah, it shows up for two hours and says, "Bas, I'm done!" How do Polish people survive this? I'm wrapped like a momo and still shivering. Summer is okay, but it's like five days long, then back to ice age. I miss my Mumbai monsoon, even if it floods my chappals!

Now, the biggest tragedy - Polish girls! Arre, I thought I'd come here, flash my Bollywood charm, maybe do a little Shah Rukh pose, and win hearts. BUT NO! These Polish ladies look at me like I'm an alien from Mars! I try talking, smiling, even cracking my best Rajnikanth jokes, but they just give me that "who is this uncle?" look. Not ONE has said yes to coffee, forget about a date! I'm not saying I'm Hrithik Roshan, but come on, desi boys have swag, na? Maybe they don't like my curry cologne, haha! Anyway, life here is tough, bhai log. If any of you have tips to survive Poland - or know where to get proper biryani - drop a comment. Your Indian bhai is DESPERATE!

Get yourself over to India House on Jana Pawla in Warsaw, they have exactly what you need. If you aren't in Warsaw, they'll post it to you. Now, which MDH masala are you wanting? indianhouse.pl/?s=MDH&post_type=product

I'm DYING for a proper chicken tikka or even one decent vada pav

If you need vada pav, Jana Pawla in Warsaw is where you need to be. Go to Delhi 6, they'll take care of you. But I'd skip the vada pav there and instead go for the chole bhature, it's by far the best you'll find in Poland.

Poland winters are BRUTAL

Dost, you don't know how lucky you are! Now the winters are nothing. 30 years ago it used to go below 0°C in October and stay there until April. -20° was nothing unusual and every winter had at least a couple of weeks with below -15° 24/7.

If you need vada pav, Jana Pawla in Warsaw is where you need to be.

If you think he is what he claims to be, you need a date with reality. All he knows are a few phrases and the names of a few dishes. That is all.
Fricken imposter, here to unload his frustration on Poles and Poland.

For once I agree with you, he is probably a Brit.Chicken Tikka Masala is a British Asian dish.

Chicken Tikka Masala is a British Asian dish.

It was, but now it's also served in India. I'm told it was first spread by British Indian chefs who went to India to learn more about Indian cooking there and who then brought Indian dishes back to the UK.

BTW, I can very highly recommend Delhi 6, by far the best Indian food I've ever had in Poland and at least as good as what I've had in UK. Fancy lunch there Friday? I'll be there then.

You're a total lifesaver! India House on Jana Pawla is now my go-to for MDH Chicken Tikka Masala when I'm doing a study there. Krakow's got nothing on that spice game, so I'm stoked they ship. Delhi 6 for chole bhature sounds like a plan. I'm already dreaming of that crispy, spicy goodness. Any other hidden gems in Poland for a proper desi fix? Cook born in India is a must I say. My stomach's begging after eating bigos kaputa~

And these winters in Poland, dost, I'm FREEZING at 5°C - can't even imagine -20°C back in the day! Drop some pro tips to survive this cold, or I'm gonna end up hibernating with a hot water and chai all season!

Chai Wala on Jana Pawla (a couple of doors down from India House) is well worth a visit. The savoury food isn't as good as Delhi 6 but the sweet stuff is excellent.

Cook born in India is a must I say.

Until quite recently almost all of the cooks in Indian restaurants in Poland were born the UK.

Drop some pro tips to survive this cold

Layers, lots of layers, starting with a merino wool base layer. Good socks and boots.

Drop some pro tips to survive this cold

Tone down the language, no one in Poland wants to listen to purpose prose in a foreign language.

And as Lazzie Baby said, layers. You might look into long underwear (though I ended up not needing it more than a few times).

The key is to have a really good outside jacket (kurtka). Then most of the time a t-shirt under a shirt will be enough (light sweater over the shirt).

Also experiment until you find what works for you. I remember getting leather gloves but they just made my hands freeze more so I dropped them. Also something for your head, like a cap is indispensable.

By the time it gets super cold you'll be more used to the weather.

Also note: Many people find, like I did, that the cold was easier to get used to than the dark. By mid-to late November it gets really dark really early, by 17.00 or so.

Hello, thank you for your advice! In Poland, when it's very cold, layers sound good idea, like merino sheep wool base layer you say, because it keep warm. But I worry if too many layers, I sweat a lot when going from cold outside to warm inside, like from car to shop or house. I now got a flu or something. What do you suggest for this?

Also, what kind socks is best for Polish cold? I have good Balenzia cotton socks, but maybe need better ones, made in POland? And boots, should they be waterproof or only warm for Poland winter? I have very comfortable ones from the UK but they leak from the side in melted snow. I can sell them to my dost as he is returning to India.

Chai Wala on Jana Pawla

I was going there with my friend but it was closed, maybe it was Sunday. But put it on my phone to check again. Yes, I mean that cooks must not always be from India, but must be born in tradition and eat with an Indian family. UK cooks don't know much about good Indian spice and seasoning. Thank you for helping!

Indians feel like home in the UK. Not sure if Poland is the best place for them to be.

Arre, not every Indian feels all cozy and at home in the UK. Many of us are actually finding a better life in Poland, even with that gloom weather. Poland got cheaper living, good jobs in tech and all, and the visa process is not such a headache. Girls appreciate good looking Indians! Plus, the Indian community there is quite happening, so you don't feel out of place. In the UK, sometimes its too costly, and fitting in can be a bit of a struggle, no? But yes, much more diversity in UK, many Indians. But Poland is turning out to be a solid choice for a lot of desi folks looking for a good life abroad! We work hard, don't get me wrong. We are not Pakistani:::)) It's better life in Germany but too late now for immigrants, they change it for worse.

it was closed, maybe it was Sunday.

I'm at Chai Wala right now, having some chai. They say they're open 9.30 to 9.30 everyday except Monday, when they open at 3.

Just been to Delhi 6 for lunch. Had the chicken Tawa with bhatura. It's not on the menu but if you ask nicely, they'll make it for you.

Thanks for the tip, bhai! I'll definitely check out Chai Wala again soon. I remember I was there in the morning for breakfast when it was closed, so it was Monday. Are you Indian too?

pure hell.

In India they have the same thing, plus venomous cobras. Not everyone can bite a cobra to death like a 2-year-old Indian boy recently did.

Lazarus, I also asked them politely so they spit in your bhatura just like in Delhi 6 nearby lol. Avoid deep fried food and you might get lucky with your overly enlarged prostrate.
MAT, did you frame the pic you took of mine in shamrock lol
