Why is circumcision not practiced in Poland?

I couldn't give a rat's a$$ where it came from. I also couldn't care less what "side" Poland is on.

hate to be boring but wasn't all that what this whole discussion is about?

funny that you can't just say 'i have my opinion, but others are of course entitled to theirs ...' You just got us all going when you kept saying the foreskin should be removed because it is imperfect and going to give us all cancer or something else unpleasant, and that all women prefer circumcised ones anyhow ... but thanks, it was fun : )

^Yeah, it's like he elaborately explained how he does not have an opinion on this. I'm wondering why we were even writing to eachother now *scratches head* (no not that one!)

never said it. again, imaginary posters. lots of people were posting statistics on how the foreskin gives you this disease and that, cancer related, bla bla bla.....not I.

and that all women prefer circumcised ones anyhow

American women.....just about all of them. yes.

yes you are one of those !

Please explain Ironside. That's a pretty outlandish statement. Why am I a dick.

dont mix polish climate slavic traditions and history with jews or arabs

what is good for arabs is not good for polish

But water is good for arabs, why not for polish?

Very well said.

just about all of them

Likes and dislikes of American women are totally irrelevant for Polish men IN POLAND. Fuzzy - OP's question was "Why circumcision is not practiced in Poland". And why should it be? It's not routinely practiced anywhere in Europe.

Oh OK. So within this conversation, no other country should be brought up besides Poland. OK, got it. Just be sure to call everyone else out on that when any other country is mentioned and we'll be just fine.

Although, you haven't mentioned it over the duration of 15 pages thus far, just figured you'd start with me?

No, you are the one that brought the argument of American women into equasion, not very revant for most of Polish men who are unlikely to ever meet one.

In Poland not practiced, in Germany now outright illegal:

foxnews.com/world/2012/06/26/german-court-circumcision-on-jewish-boys-assault/

"German court: Circumcision on boys an assault"

Time to get rid of this ritual mutilation. All the claimed medical benefits can be just as well obtained through elementary hygiene.

A loving parent would not do this to their child and watch how it's suffering.

I disagree. Many Jews do b'rit milah and there are health benefits to circumcision.

Circumcision is child molestation. And we know which group practices what lol.

I'm quite sure that following a micwah is not pedophilia. On the other hand, mecicah b'peh is pedophila.

i will admit the first time i saw an uncircumsized penis i was rather put off...since my boyfriend is polish he is not circumsized and .. since i plan to have children with him if it is a boy he is adamant he will not be circusized so i have done research. There is no medical proof that circucision is better or worse. As long as the child is shown proper hygiene it is fine. When it is erect it is no different than a non circumsized penis and if you are doing it right it should be erect so whats the problem. men who are not circumsized are also more sensitive because the head is always covered and isnt rubbing against their underwear or pants all day so it is more fun to. :)

why

i live in canada ... it is common here for men to be circumsized and i havent been with many men so it was the first one i saw .. i honestly didnt know there was circumsision and no circumcision i thought all penises looked like a circumsized one...so it looked funny to me

it would look funny to any Polish girl, I guess. If you always lived in Canada, you'd be surprised to meet a guy who's not circumcised.

So seeing responses; maybe question should be why is it practised across the board in North America?

honestly didnt know there was circumsision and no circumcision i thought all penises looked like a circumsized one

Of course, being American AND Catholic, I have not seen..um much up close. But what I did was bare.

My boys were circumcised at suggestion of physician and pref of the father.
Since I am not a Jew or Muslim there is no religious reason for me. I actually disliked it so much for my first son , I wasn't sure I wanted it for my youngest. I know there are some health issues that are more on women than men (chlamydia and yeast constant.but those stats are for ...well.... for people who eat a little of EVERY thing at the buffet. I lean to long term monogomous. But former have been unfaithful so I am kinda glad they were clipped.)

Here where I am, it is simply something that is done like the blood tests, tons of vaccines, assuming bottle feeding.

This thread freaked me out........

Since so many who post here, specially male are not actually Polish nationals, I wasn't sure what to think.
So I asked my BBF in the world in Germany (who is 1/2 Polish traditional & yes we are THAT close), But he is American and born here. So I decide ask someone that might have a handle on the question.

I then ask a close EU friend (in what she calls my sudden Aspie way- I am Aspie) "Is it true most don't do in the EU". I swear she stays friends for the amusement value. She said I must come to Helsinki so she can educate me, because I need help. ^_^ So she informs me that majority across the pond, are whole.

....meanwhile even as I finish speaking to her, my paramour is online and in view, asking why I am acting so strange..I blurt it out "..is it true?! are You?"

*sigh* I swear one of us turns the other red for a week on a monthly basis now. I am glad we were (he said our level of friendship before he loved me was " przyjaciel"?) trolly best buds or we could never say and ask these things of each other.

Well that is one potential shock/surprise neutralized.

You guys are killing me!
seems this forum always brings me more questions than answers. I never did ask the question that brought me here.

it is done across the board in north american because years ago a dr. published a paper suggesting it was possibly healthier and more hygenic ofcourse the paper was published without much research and it held little fact. People read it health care proffessionals started pushing it and then it caught on. Dr's caught on quickly that it is not healthier or more hygenic at all and there are really no benefits to it but ofcourse it made money so it was kept pretty hush for a while by the time it started to get around that it was not beneficial at all almost all young boys who were born had it done so parents continued to do it for asthetic reasons if no other. Only recently have papers been published to suggest it is actually beneficial to retain the foreskin for protection as well as pleasure this is slowly starting to spread around and people are slowly catching on that however some still opt to have it done to their newborns because they fear him being different. In Canada they are no longer training doctors to circumsize so you have to either have a dr. already trained in your town or city or bring the child somewhere that does in my hometown the dr who knowns how is 64 and will be retiring soon and this is the case all over canada in the next 20 years there will be next to no dr.'s if any that know how to do it and in 30 years it will be a done deal. People will either have to bring their babies to the states to have it done or not have it done. The high cost of travel and medical procedures in the united states should stop the majority of people from going there so it will slowly fade off here and not be practiced anymore.

I think it is absolutely outrageous and disgusting that anyone would torture their own children by circumcising them. Shocking.

31 Oct 2012   #445
most in north america who do it are made to believe that it is "healthier" and society dictates it to be more "asthetically pleasing" so parents think they are doing the right thing.

Also circumcision makes a man a lot less sensitive. This may seem a bad thing but of course it takes him a lot longer to climax, which is better for his partner :-)

Sometimes i can make a man so desensitized eventually it will be difficult to climax.. yes sounds awesome for him

@ ilmc, as a man I'd rather have difficulty climaxing or be unable to do so than climax too quickly. The male orgasm is only really needed a handful of times in a typical man's lifetime, if that, for fathering children. The rest of the time, making love is surely about closeness and pleasure, and for that the female orgasm is much more important and the male one is best avoided if possible.
ilmc  4 | 136

and the female orgasm is more often achieved without the penis so if you are good with your tongue and fingers it is irrelevant whether you climax quickly.

I agree :-). But circumcision is still good because if a man is less sensitive down there or finds it hard to climax, hopefully he'll get pleasure from using his tongue or fingers to please his partner instead...
