Wow. Progress. He didn't have (according to official sources not unfriendly to him). 'Bout time too.

Wow. Progress.

Oh yes. And he went shopping by himself. People can change, after all, we shouldn't give up on anybody too soon :)

And he went shopping by himself.

He did. In Biedronka. Look how well that turned out :)

Does he know the actions to YMCA?

He will need lots of encouragement now. Those first steps are extremely important, somebody should be making sure that he doesn't get turned off.

For now, yes.
Soon he might be ready to move to the next stage and start socializing. I keep my fingers crossed for him.

gay song :)

Generally nobody gives damn. If you a humble dude and you are not taken by this Gay's Parades, nobody should bother you.
Some peeps with no manners may scorn you, but not that often.
Construction workers would definitely made crude jokes on his expense, at last for some time - nothing to do with hate.

Ironside, what the hell got into you tonight?

I totally agree with this - if you rub it in people's faces, you can expect a beating. But if you just act like - well - any normal couple would, no-one is going to care less.

Poles are pretty tolerant people, all things considered - I have a friend who saw (after the last gay march in Poznan, along with the protest) hooligans and gays at the same tram stop - and no-one was bothering each other.

I know a ton of gay polish people. They are so gay. I am sure that they will be accepting. Dont worry honey They will accept you for who you are. And remember it gets better with age.

Hasn't it been proven that homosexuality is a mental disorder?

Yep. Gay used to be considered a mental disorder until they got their sympathetic Lib friends in the Psychology industry to change its classification, not based on any science. The Left doesn't have much use for science when it interferes with their agenda.

Generally nobody gives damn.

This is prolly the most real advice here.

you missed something alex - Jarosław Kaczyński did not have a bank account (in his name) for a reason - see this

"He was afraid people would deposit money into it without him knowing" - funny beyond words.

And no, not funny ha-ha.

Znasz j. polski? a bit

In other words, you're not Polish.

do you know what humour is - can't you imagine someone being humorous in their profile??

"He was afraid people would deposit money into it without him knowing" - funny beyond words.

alex you can trace where money come from to a specific account or at least tell that some mysterious companies (say from abroad) pay millions into Jarosław Kaczyński account - can't you see what the perception would be like (especially in Poland) - there are millions in Poland who believe that PiS is the most corrupt party even without such things - you live in a post-communist country where former secret services still have influence (and they had even more influence a couple years back)

Because of course the former PM would advertise his bank account number to the entire world, I presume?
Do you advertise your own bank account number yourself, gumishu?
How did the former PM get his salary? In cash? If yes, couldn't he be just bribed in cash? It does not make much sense to me.

On topic: Several years ago, me, my wife and some of friends of ours went out of curiosity to a gay club in Warsaw. Nice atmosphere, nice people, nothing really wrong there. I could only notice something strange: The "gays" eyes lit when they could see my wife dancing, strange.

As with anyone, everyone is an individual. I've found that many gay men adore women who are particularly beautiful, talented, or artsy.

One man I used to work with was crazy about Brittany Spears. He loves her, but is gay. Gay men tend to like to hang out with this type of woman, but as friends. It can be very loving, and the woman knows she is in no danger of being hit on.

The same man came to my house and bought me flowers and a bottle of wine. He wanted to let me know how much he valued working with me. My family thought, he had a crush on me, but we were just friends.

can you imagine someone from the bank sharing the news that Kaczyński has a bank account there - Antek do you notice yourself that Poland has the most police and intelligence services eaves-drops in the whole Europe and that the number has actually doubled after the time PiS lost power (meaning PO gained power) - you may well be unaware of such things but they are real - you may not notice the infulence former and current secret services have on Poland but that does not mean they are not there - comprende?

I thought it was PiS that wanted to enforce Law & Justice by creating an army of police and intelligence services?

Not if they want to stay in a job.

Anyway, if he now has an account (see above) and PO is still in government, this little paranoid fantasy is somewhat invalidated, isn't it?

and what if Jarosław Kaczyński is not 'bribe-able' - ever considered such possibility

btw you can't really 'bribe' someone in cash without his knowledge - the intrigue would be too ' grubymi nićmi szyta' - don't know the English equivallent

people stayed in their jobs after worse things in Poland - capisci?

Why do you care? You claim to be tolerant but attack the guy for his private life?

As far as I know, all state employees get their salaries transferred to their bank accounts (ROR). The finances of a public person, especially of Prime Minister are not in the private domain. Otherwise, it means black money.

I'd like Law & Justice make a check on Mr Kaczyński to verify their political programme.

you see - black money - do you not see the reason why one could not want to have a bank account :)

I'd like Law & Justice make a check on Mr Kaczyński.

now you are getting paranoid pal - unless it is some sort of humour (but you should have used a wink to make it clear :P

The only reason for not having a bank account is tax evasion.
gumishu 13 | 6,138

yes you should start a campaign that Jarosław Kaczyński evades taxes - why do you think Gazeta Wyborcza never dit before??? (and sometimes their 'journalistic' investigations are surprisingly informed - someone should sometimes ask where do they get their sources

There are many. Gumishu told you one. I add the second: to stop supporting greedy bankers, who try so hard to disguise various fees.

Nice try. PiS like any other political party curries the support of the financial sector behind closed doors.

Taking into account more than 60% of money circulating in Poland is in so-called "grey zone", that is, outside the taxation system, the PM Kaczyński was doing splendid work to convince Poles not to pay taxes to his Government.

The topic: Homosexuality in Polish Culture
OP Darren...

Went slightly off topic towards the end.

I can understand Polish people not liking effeminate men, however what about normal rugged men, who look like the type that would beat you up but who just happen to be homosexual? How do they get treated in Poland?

Cheers
