Talented kid, thx for posting. A little less show while playing would've been better, though.

Yeah, why not? It had a 50/50 chance of being one of your chick tunes.... haha

I like the flute, violin and switching from Polish to English. You do find some good/obscure bands:)

@TheOther

You are obviously a bit younger than me.
I was not a great fan of Punk and New Wave music, although I did quite like some songs.
For me, Dezerter were terrible and Sedes were OK.

I was not a great fan of Punk

Punk is a diverse genre. Patti Smith Group, The Stranglers or Tom Robinson Band on one end of the spectrum, Sex Pistols, The Damned or U.K. Subs on the other. May I ask which one you didn't like? I guess the U.K. Subs style, because Dezerter borrowed from them quite a bit.

You are obviously a bit younger than me.

I had a backstage pass for Deep Purple Mark II (with Gillan and Glover), if that answers your question ... ;)

Deep Purple Mark II

Details please. Now we're talking music! I don't get the love for this thread, Really scraping the barrel with the "new" music, especially some of the Polish derivative bands, who should just go and get a real job. We all know that proper music died when Rodger Hodgson left Supertramp:):)

Here a special delivery for you Doggie from the time proper music was blossoming. Must be your thing ...

your thing .

You may scoff Ironside:) But when we consider music theory, what is going to be "new"? So I prefer the old. Not as old as your suggestion though:)

what is going to be "new"?

Again the last popular-ish type music that sounded really 'new' to me was either Throbbing Gristle (I first heard in the mid 1980s) and then My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult (around 1988) everything has been mix and match rehashes.... (maybe a partial exception for 180 bpm techno but if you slow it down a bit.... yeah same old same old).

On the other hand the soundtrack to Midsommar was amazing, the best soundtrack I've heard since Africa Addio... (no matter what you think of the film aesthetically or politically the soundtrack was great). But Midsommar is maybe a partial key toward going forward (that movie got seriously inside my head...)

For me it would have been when Billy Zoom left X.... Dave Alvin was great but the vibe was soooooo different.

Punk is a diverse genre.

May I ask which one you didn't like?

Yeah, I guess I was more into the "non punk bands" like The Stranglers and TRB.
In other words, the bands who could actually play their instruments. .....
Here
Is one for you, Polish of course.....

Thanks. Sounds more like a pop version of the Dire Straits than the Stranglers or TRB, though. When was the song released? Not in the 80s, I assume.

Its about time!! You've been really slacking around here! LOL

I listened to one minute of Totem, they are trying to copy Slipnot.

I love Netherfell, this is "Konik Zmok"

I like this band the best out of the 3. The violin and melody is much better than all the screaming:)

A great cover of one of Rock Music's greatest songs.
I think that for guys like you and I, it's a bit of an anthem or theme tune..... ;-)
Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year.
Ours is coming up in about 4 hours, obviously yours will be a few hours later.
Have a good one my friend and can I extend that to all on PF, even those that I may have crossed swords with, there are no hard feelings on this side.Best wishes to each and everyone of you in this Polish Diaspora and Community.

Disco Polo (Dance music) is a popular genre especially in the context of clubbing/partying alongside electronic music.

Hate it. A lot. Not anything to do with music - hence Simon Cowell soiling his pants.

one of Rock Music's greatest songs

Happy new Year from me too!
Have you watched the Skynyrd concert from Knebworth in the heatwave of '76 on YT? 20 of the 100,000 views are mine:)

youtu.be/nYMiNuJJyYM

That's more like it Milo! very nice:)
