Taxes and money, need some clarifications...

Hello there! Thank you for bringing a lot of info into this Polish.

I'd like to make a couple of simple questions to check if someone knows something better or anybody can give me a hand on these 2 topics:

1-I'm freelance, so a lot of people recommended me inFakt to do accountability month by month, is there something cheaper than this? I checked and is roughly 300-350PLN/month

2-This is about taxes, I am Spanish, I do investments into a bank in Spain which operates with index funds, as I don't get any money there because everything is re-invested into the same funds, do I have to pay/declare something? If so, how much is needed to be paid? Because I asked already to some people, and they told me that Spain-Poland have a double treatment of taxes, so it may be beneficial.

Thanks a lot!

You only need to pay or declare tax on index funds when you sell them. It's 19 percent but if some has been deducted at source in Spain you can subtract that from your Polish tax

It's 19 percent

Do you mean Belka's tax? That's 19% off the profits from the investment, not the entire sum. Unless somebody purchased funds/stocks before Belka tax was introduced (2002) and kept them longterm, then they are exempt from the tax.

You probably won't find anyone cheaper than 250 zloty in Warsaw. And below 300 they are unlikely to speak English

I pay 270 for mine, in the countryside - she doesn't speak English

There is a very good online accountant called Taxe.pl. My husband used them when self-employed and they were very efficient. The package he used cost under 100zl per month and they did his monthly income tax and VAT returns and ZUS for that. They send in the relevant paperwork to the tax office and notify you of how much you have to pay.
