Its a bit difficult to sell your products in Europe. I dont want to critized you, but the reality is the stuff from india are of low Quality. The European need very high quality, and if you buy the quality stuff from india, it will cost you same as European Products.

Just imagine:

1. you have to rent a shop i.e Rent+Electricity+Heater
2.You have to buy the stuff
3. You must pay Sale Tax, Custom Duty etc etc
4. Than you have invest money on publicity

I think its waste of Time and Money!

stuff from india are of low Quality.

So is Chinese stuff....Polish people seem happy enough to buy that in great quantity.....I am not sure that Polish people would want to buy Indian costumes , but maybe other stuff from India would be in demand...The thing is to do some research , find out if people are interested....I think it might be harder to sell it in Poland , than say in the UK , but not impossible....if you think you have a market...go for it...

There are plenty of shops in Warsaw selling Indian textiles, handicrafts etc.

Not sure who runs them (but a few of them look like the same chain) or how well they do/ Not cheap though.

Indian handicraft furniture market and textile market is taken care of in poland..its saturated..

all the indian players here in PL hold a good market share (doing business and living here for more than 15 years) in all these products and have a good hold on everything u might think, be it government officials, embassy, buyers (Purchase managers bribed ofcours) so entering is a problem and then sustaining as well.

all the best.

Are you sure Poles would go for it?

I've almost killed Polish people here with curries that I've made - and they weren't hot.

They don't seem to be that accustomed to spicy food from what I can see.

I'm with Unknown_that_poo, I would absolutely love to be able to buy naans, and other ingredients. I know you can buy naans in m&s but don't fancy the journey from Gdansk to Gdynia just for those. For me Indian is one of the top cuisines in the world :)

I think in Wrocław it can be good idea to open such shop but not in Warsaw, coz already exist few such shops, moreover quality of clothes etc is hm not good, and if u think about selling traditional shalwar kameez etc then who would wear it in Poland? I know one shop in Warsaw with this all spices etc and i dont see a lot of people there, mostly just immigrants.

Akik isnt worth much in pl and people prefer amber. Gold and diamonds are very high priced though compared to indian market. A lot of retail gold pieces are only 9k and yet still rly expensive. Youre better off importing those. And it's even more expensive in germany.
