Report a stolen iPhone or other theft in Poland?

My iPhone was lost/stolen in Poznan last week. I wanted to report the theft to the police but it was not possible. I want to know if I can do it now even if I am not in Poland (I live in Spain).

Why wasn't it possible to report it?

I walked more than three hours to find a police station.
In the first stop, the guard kicks us, because said was late.
We saw a police car so we asked the officers inside how to report a stolen phone, they gesture to go away.
Then we decide to go to the plaza, the day before we saw a police van when we ask the officer inside the car he direct us to a point in the map, another police station. We walked half an hour and the place was empty.

We asked around.
No one could answer where was a police station.

After that infructuous effort, the next day we decide to take a cab to go to the police station, the cab driver was perplexed, he asked around and after a while, he took us to the same empty building we walked the day before.

Instead of having a great time enjoying the wonders of Poznan, we spend most of our time trying to find the police.

Still, we spend a wonderful time in Poznan, people were very warm and kind. Thank you for your response.

My phone was stolen on 30th December 2023 (2 days back). I would like to make a complain about the theft to the police, is it possible now? How can I do it?

Are you sure it was stolen and you didn't lose it? If it was stolen, then report it to the police - here's some info on what you need in case of a stolen phone:

Btw, obviously, it's always the best to report the crime as soon as possible.
