A parent born in Poland. Obtaining a Polish birth certificate?

My father was born in France in 1916 to both Polish parents.

France didn't change fromjus sanguinis tojus soli until 1927, and then only for those born on French soil of a French mother. Unless your grandparents naturalised some time before your father turned 18, he should still be considered a Polish citizen. The fact that he served in the Polish Army during WWII should avoid any further questions if you can document it.

How can I obtain a birth certificate for my mother who was born in Poland but lost her original one?

How can I obtain a birth certificate for my mother who was born in Poland but lost her original one? Both her and I live in the United States. The Polish consulates in the US do not carry out these services. I have been trying to find information online but most are in Polish which I can't read well. She was born in województwo dolnośląskie. Thanks for the help

I need to obtain an Apostle of my Polish birth certificate and acquire a Polish passport. My father was born in 1908. He met my mother in the Ukraine during the war, They married and had me when they came back to Poland. I was born in Poland. I have a copy of both their Polish passports.

What is my next coarse of action. I have a naturalized Canadian citizenship.

Hi I am polish by descent and am trying to get polish citizenship. My father died a few years ago and we have few documents. He was displaced from Poland during the war and came to England in 1945/6. We think he was born in Tarnow Luszowice and went back regularly. We have his death certificate and marriage certificate from the UK but no Polish documents. If we write to his local registry office in Poland will they find it for us? Will we need to write on a form, and will they send it to us?

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

If it's Luszowice near Radgoszcz, contact the civil register office there

They should have a copy of his birth if he was born less than a hundred years ago.

Hi , My mother was born in Warsaw in 1936 and came to the UK in 1950. I was born before she got naturalised as a UK citizen in 1968, so she only had Polish citizenship when I was born. I am having trouble finding her birth records on-line eg via Ancestry.com and via the Polish Parish records on-line and I looked at the government website too. What happens when the birth records are missing? Anyone have any other ideas where to look? Thanks

I need some help. My father was born in Poland in 1951. His mother was a citizen of Poland and they moved here to the states in 1958. My fathers father was born in the States and relocated his family back here. My father has attended school and resided in the states ever since. He is currently 72 years old. We are looking to travel and I am not sure where to begin. He was given a permanent green card. He has a valid drivers license here and social security card. I honestly don't know his citizenship status as we believe his mother became a US citizen before he was 18 but we are unsure as of when. She's been deceased for many years now. How can I confirm his citizenship and get a copy of his birth certificate?
