Changing my name in Poland while living in the UK?

I'll be upfront: I am a Polish trans person looking to change my name. I know that Poland has some limits on what sort of names it allows people to use, as well as for what reasons. Luckily, I've lived in the UK for most of my life, & I'm eligible for a British Citizenship. I don't have one yet, but I can get one.

My question is: will Poland let me change my name on my Polish passport, if I change it in the UK, despite the fact I'm changing it for transition reasons?

Further information:
I only want to change my first name, but it is a very English name. I am keeping my Polish surname.
I do not have a British passport, but if it lets me change my name more easily, I will get one.
I am planning to change my name in the UK using a deed poll.
If there is any information I missed, let me know.

There was a very similar thread about this recently; the search box may turn something up that's useful to you.

The consensus in that thread as I remember is that a lawyer may help, however there aren't that many lawyers with experience in sorting the PL name change to match the UK change.

will Poland let me change my name on my Polish passport, if I change it in the UK,

It would, however name changes in Poland are fussier and require a court decision.

transition reasons

That shouldn't make any difference, not least because people in PL who've transitioned often change their name. TransFuzja, the organisation led by Anna Grodzka may be able to advise.

Thank you, @jon357 I was looking through the forums earlier but didn't seem to find anything with the relevant information. I'll give that thread a look

Hi BardsandWitches,

The answer is YES !, Once you go through a process of changing your name in UK and have obtained Change of Name certificate, then simply go to the nearest Polish consulate or embassy and apply from there.

See, I heard & read in many places that my nearest Polish embassy (in this case the London one) might be really damn stubborn with that sort of thing. Do you have any first hand experience of how you or a friend/family member went about changing their Polish passport at the embassy? I know that I might need to employ a professional translator to translate the English Deed Poll into Polish, & all of that.
