Puns and language games in Polish adverts

I sometimes adore the ingenuity of ad creators who play with the language in a really funny way. Beer ads are the best example. E..g, European bison beer enables copywriters invent multiple double meanings in their slogans.

Bison is approaching the grill or
Bison suits the grill.

In the morning, a jackdaw/small coffee, in the evening - a bison.

I've always maintained as both a teacher and as a learner (both are mirror "opposites" of the same image, aren't they?) that
ad slogans are often among the most effective pedagogic tools in imparting the true flavor of any culture:-)

the true flavor of

I sometimes drink Bison but its flavour isn`t so fascinating. And I don`t advertise the beer here, I just like those slogans. :)

two fast bisons are swimming in a broad stream
vs
a broad stream of two Bison beers is flowing fast.

Naturally, I was referring in this case to the flavor of the language, not the beverage:-)

Yes, the flavour of the slogans definitely exceeds the flavour of Bison beer. :):)

It is good to bump into a bison vs it is good to grab a bison beer.

@pawian

Bison beer, Zubr, is not bad.
Why are you so ready to insult Polish stuff?

Because teasing your "Polish" pride is my favourite hobby in the PF. Poniał? :):)

We recommend hopping onto a bison vs we recommend going for a Bison beer.

The distance between bisons should be small vs Don`t delay having another Bison beer.

Why are you so ready to insult Polish stuff?

Beacuse the beer is mediocre at best?
Geez, guys, do you have an obsession or something?
There are much better beers on the market, even from big companies, not to mention craft.
But the ads are good.

1. Train vs bison
or
It is time for Bison beer

2. A Polish saying: Two bisons are better than one.

3. Two bisons and everything`s quiet in the forest
or
Two Bison beers and full relaxation

Let`s end bison topics and switch to other animals.

Do you remember a famous slogan from the times when beer ads were banned?

Mariola ma oczy piwne, Mariola o kocim spojrzeniu -

Mariola has light brown eyes/ vs beer eyes
Mariola with feline eyes/ vs Okocim - one of beer producers.

Patriotic shopping slogan: Don`t let them coo you! Buy from compatriots!

Gruchać/Coo was used as cheat, dupe, trick. It is a parody of a similar Polish word which is too slangishly vulgar.

Yes, that is why that billboard was reported to a private Advertisement Chastity Board as too allusively obscene. PC in action. :)

Window sills wholesale: we hack/shag on the premises.

Legendarny means legendary in English.
Legendy is legends. etc

Lech - one of beer producers.

So, the latest pun is
Lechendarny. Lechendy.

The verb "gruchać" is usually related to a dove making sounds. I'd not exactly know if someone told me that they they have "gruchnęli mnie." I doubt it has one exact meaning in Polish.

You are still playing at the same level. If I play a higher-level joke on you it goes above your head.
Stop pretending you have some sophisticated sense of humor, you are a tool.
