Love / Do Polish girls like playing with men's feelings on internet? [52]

Relationships through work nooooo lol gets really awkward if things go wrong and you still have to see each other or worse, work together... I met my ex fiance in a nightclub and it took me 3 years to lose those beer goggles and ditch him ;D.

just for a giggle:

Love / Do Polish girls like playing with men's feelings on internet? [52]

back in the days when i used to be a geeky manga fan lol i used to go online and meet likeminded people, both girls and guys. i'm still friends with those people today after 10 years. yeah i had a few crushes and yes i had an online bf ha ha but my mother never let me meet him cos she said i was too young and when he called to plead with her she just hung up on him and that pretty much killed it :/ lol. found him on nasza klasa years later and he turned out to be pretty weird and hitting on my taken sister ha ha...

then i met this other guy and i invited him to go to my studniowka with me. BIG mistake, the picture i had of him was flattering but in person he was a lanky creepy thing with monster teeth! i spent the night dancing with my friends and he slept on a chair ;D. i know it was cruel but i was so disappointed that he tricked me like that!

then last year i used a free dating site for a laugh and gone on quite a lot of dates, even ran away from one when the guy went to the toilet (he was an idiot) ;D. after the novelty wore off i could see why those men were single so long...

match.com was quite good, more serious people there (cos you gotta pay). met this one guy and i thought we had a good thing going but i got burned there, sad story. and then after a few months i got back on match again and the only guy i met up with was my current boyfriend who is seriously the best thing that's ever happened to me :).

one of my friends from work met her husband online a couple of years ago and they seem happy. a lot of people i know tried internet dating and even though there are a lot of horror stories there are quite a few happy endings as well. my best advice is not to talk online too long so that you don't imagine the other person to be something they are not and avoid the disappointment when they turn out to be not so perfect. and most importantly whether you like it or not looks are important so be honest and don't photoshop your pics lol...

Love / Do Polish girls like playing with men's feelings on internet? [52]

i used a couple of dating sites and met some nice people, including my current boyfriend of 7 months. i suppose i got tired of meeting the same kind of men in town or through work. it's nothing to be ashamed of and they were local, not far far away like in the OP's case.

you don't sound 'english' to me appleuser. anyway, untill you meet for real and decide to see each other you are NOT a couple, talking through skype everyday doesn't mean you're in a relationship. why are you guys so naive? get out there and make real friends and meet real partners, or at least use a dating site and find local people. but of course, why would an asian guy look online for a girl who lives near him, he'll search somewhere he can never go for a girl he will obsess about and hope she'll be his ticket out. throw the computer away and good luck living in the real world if the online stuff affects you so much.

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

JustysiaS:
crisps, chewing gum, yoghurt...

What do you mean - that you can get lots of different flavours of the above in Poland?
Nothing unusual in that.

with crisps, there are no cheetos and the flavours are quite limited, i've not seen hazelnut flavoured crisps here for example. same for orbit chewing gum, i really like that pink one (for kids lol) and you can't get it here, same as watermelon or citrus. and same with yoghurt, plus the Polish ones just taste nicer. in UK you can only have a few choices of each thing, in Poland you have LOTS. it might be petty but it's true. and you can't deny the chocolate flavours. what is it with chilli chocolate in UK does anybody actually eat it? :/

Love / Polish girls fall for Indian guys ? [217]

Everyone knows that polish girls are naive.Very easy target for fairy tales and bullsh1tting.

everyone knows that the biggest bullsh*tter in here is you with your fairytales about having a sex life.

Bzibzioh:
No, Polish chocolate is not the best, just OK.

Oj, bo się pogniewamy...

Polish chocolate is just perfect, cadburys and German or Belgian chocolate seem to be too 'rich' and sickening.

Jaffa Cakes are nice, but they are just orange, aren't they? Whereas Wedel's version comes in many (even better) flavours :)

yeah just orange, boring! isn't it weird how in Poland everything comes in many flavours? stuff like chocolate (UK don't really make chocolate with fillings, in Poland you can get virtually any flavour you want), crisps, chewing gum, yoghurt...

Are there delicje cookies in other countries or is it an exclusive invention of Wedel?

jaffa cakes are pretty much the same thing but i'm not sure what was first :/

Language / Are the context of these Polish sentences correct? [101]

Don't get discouraged right at the beginning. It's all about basics! Learn the basics (how to ask questions about things, how to make a statement and different endings for different genders) and build up from there.

Food / I have a Polish couple coming over for afew days and would like to cook for them. [93]

I think it's best to try and show them some of your favourite dishes. Nothing crazy like seafood, a lot of Polish people seem to be afraid of prawns and little squids lol. Try not to make it too spicy either. No point cooking Polish dishes for them, that's what they can have at home. If all else fails, just take them out for a meal ;D.

would you agree that my first post was undertsandable if not gramatically accurate

most of the words were ok but the sentence order and grammar errors unfortunately made it almost impossible to understand i'm afraid. Polish is far from easy but the more you practice the more you learn :)

Love / Polish girls fall for Indian guys ? [217]

might have already picked up the idea that there are cute and ugly people in every country

seriously? ;)

i have seen in your country, disgustingly hideous almost misformed ugly people, a loooot

yeah there are a lot of ugly Polish people, it's undeniable. mostly men ;D

i recommend you do the same with your extra cash, travel around, see other folks, so you can broaden your knowledge of the world

i can't help the fact that i don't find Asian men or Mediterrean men attractive, i know what i like when i see it

be more realistic than just plain judgemental

don't patronise me. just because i don't find a certain look fanciable doesn't mean i'm judgemental or racist. i don't hate them.

Love / Polish girls fall for Indian guys ? [217]

Many Polish girls fall for Indian guys. They said Indian guys are cuter, smarter, work harder, and know how to treat women better than other guys. Is this true?

the complete opposite from what i have heard actually but glad you got lucky. plus i don't really find them cute, and their accent is just, well... :/

Poles are alkholics and beat their wives

it happens but not just in Poland

kiedy ide do miasta to siadam gdzieś i obserwuje otaczający mnie świat

i tried to think of a good Polish translation of 'watch the world go by' that gives the essence of that phrase. watching the world go by in a town is witnessing the everyday life, the everyday rush without taking part in it and from a relaxed perspective. how about

Kiedy idę do miasta, siadam i obserwuję życie toczące się wokół mnie.
or
Kiedy idę do miasta, siadam i obserwuję jak życie płynie swoim rytmem.

maybe... but the answer could be: "Przebieram szybko nóżkami."

a jak coś zaszeleści w krzakach to jeszcze szybciej ;D

but this one sounds like a police officer interview

Co Pan robił po pracy dnia 22 września 2010, w nocy, kiedy to dokonano zbrodni??

quick, think of an alibi!

It would be if you were talking to a man yes, use pani if talking to a woman.

Co pan robi, gdy wraca nocą do domu?
Co pani robi, gdy wraca nocą do domu?

It is a bit of a weird question though, and a bit personal one for a formal question too...

Australia / Polska Balanga! New Polish Party in Sydney [31]

Aka "**** up and punch up"

too right! they used to organise Polish discos in Bournemouth but it's been cancelled cos every single event ended in a fight and police being called in etc. it's really unfair on everyone else who just wants to have a good night but dresiarze i buraki always find their way to such parties. i suppose it does give a Polish feel to it because those steroid filled meatheads play an undeniable part in Polish 'culture'. they go to a party, get wasted and aggressive, get in a fight for no obvious reason just to get their kicks and then they boast about f*cking someone up. no point asking why, they won't remember or care cos there doesn't have to be a reason, it's just a normal ending of their every night out in town.

chaza:
where do you live = czy pan mieszkasz

Gdzie pan mieszka?

there is no pan (sir/mister) in there. where do you live? = gdzie mieszkasz?

chaza:
what do you do when you go home at night = czy pan robi , kiedy idziesz domu w noc

again, no pan. co robisz gdy wracasz nocą do domu? or co robisz w nocy gdy wracasz do domu?

Life / 2 months to go - I will be a Polish citizen and try to find a better place to raise my kid. [67]

so thank your countrymen who dont make the effort and send every spare penny they have home to build a house

they still pay taxes and the majority work hard, hardly the new Pakis! yes a lot of Polish people tend to stick together and not mix with the locals, make their £££ and count down the days till they get back but there's nothing wrong or illegal about that. the illegals and visa overstayers only abuse the system cos they can, if it wasn't so easy they wouldn't bother coming here in the first place. i don't resent them as much as i resent the UK gov though for allowing this to happen and making us pay for all their mistakes. they even claim that a complete benefits system overhaul would be more expensive than paying out millions of pounds to people who don't deserve it like they have been doing for years, just cos it's easier for them.

I think you will be unpleasantly surprised if you try to get citizenship without bothering to learn Polish.

exactly, looks like he still struggles with English as well... so basically, if one wants Polish citizenship, just as any other citizenship, they need to learn the language, it's the part of the deal. zion is not only being disrespectful towards the country where he undeniably has a better quality of life than in his native country, but also an ignorant fool for not researching what he needs to learn in order to aquire the citizenship. your silly wife might translate letters, bills and documents for you but she won't pass your citizenship test for you. unless she looks like a fat hairy Brazilian man and she could go disguised as you? :) With your English skills and virtually no Polish skills i seriously doubt you're something else than a simple labourer or a cleaner anyway, so please get over yourself.
