i bought a stand-alone Franklin Eastern European Translator device for £20 which recognises 175,000 words. And you can play hangman on it too!

however, i would be interested in a Sony phone-based one too. There isn't much spare room in my manbag or pockets

Love / Your Thoughts about 20 Year Age Difference Between Men & Women in Poland? [74]

i have a 20 year and (1200 mile gap) with my girlfriend. I am 42, she is 22. She has lied to her mother and said that I am 32! I think I can get away with it (my passport photo is ten years old and i haven't changed much)

I will tell you how it works out! I don't think it is a problem.

My Polish girlfriend is rude (sort of!). She also doesn't like giving tips to restaurant staff and taxi drivers! Is this typical?? I always thought the Spanish were the rudest nation until now!

I'm still not convinced that Poland has the most beautiful girls in the world, or for that matter there is a higher than average number. I went to Warsaw just before Christmas and wasn't at all impressed. Having said that, both my girlfriend and my polish teacher are both stunners (to use "The Sun" terminology).

A poll

Good idea! Maybe a poll as to which town and cities the most beautiful Polish girls can be found. I'm going to Krakow shortly, will I be pleasantly surprised there?

The best women that I've ever seen happen to be Arabic and Latinos

It's all a matter of personal preference I suppose, I'm not really attracted to either Arabic or Latino women.

Wroclaw (the city, not the member, lol) has the best girls

Yes, there are probably a few attractive ones out of those. I think I was just unlucky, I've only been for two short visits to Poland. I have heard enough anectodal evidence about the attractiveness of Polish girls that makes me "want" to believe. It's not only their looks that make them attractive either.

I was thinking the same thing, a bit presumptuous of LIR to assume you're single! Or maybe she's implying men are always on the look out for something better. "The ideal woman" is a myth anyway, there is no such thing!

What a load of rubbish

You could well be right! Maybe it's just my g/f who has selective memory. I am reaching new plateaus of shallowness. The interesting thing for me is that Poland has a reputation for being full of gorgeous girls, yet my limited personal experience of Poland doesn't match up with this.

I have found this to be true

I'm still not sure whether "Polish women are the most beautiful in the world!" is this just a myth created by the Polish Tourist Board? It is probably something i will never know the answer to. I would have to visit every country in the world to make comparisons and it is of course a matter of personal taste.

I disagree. The myth is out there! Polish girls are of above average attractiveness to balance out the under average attractiveness of the Polish guys.
