But how many people went to school where they were taught the Russian version of 'history'? I still wonder how they teach modern Polish history in schools. It wouldn't suprise me if today's teachers refer to the vast crowds of patriots who went to the Independence day celebrations in Warsaw in November as Fascists.

In Britain when they teach the history of WWII it is all about defeating Hitler who invaded Poland in 1939. No one seems to even acknowledge that Russia also invaded Poland in 1939.

Poland had a long and proud history before it was taken apart by its neighbours in 1795 and again in 1939. Poles should be proud of their heritage and should be mindful of what it has suffered in getting to where it is today.

Champagne socialists live on the back of the working class and do nothing to improve their lot. They like their cheap Polish plumbers and Polish cleaners and are all for EU membership because it allows for the import of cheap labour and drives down wages - not something which is good for the native working class. It's kind of like the US Dems supporting open borders even though open borders do nothing to improve the lives black and Latino US citizens.

Later they would sell it to their simpleton supporters as a great success. :)

Simpleton supporters are those who continue to support PO, although they witnessed their country being plundered by corruption scandal after corruption scandal for eight years under PO-PSL where the current elite lined their pockets with billions stolen from public funds.

I notice that the former finance minister - Rostowski ('Pieniedzy nie ma, i nie bedzie') is now attempting to line his pockets by becoming a British Euro MP.

Changing street names to remove Poland's links is an extremely PRL kind of thing to do...

There is nothing wrong with trying to remove a very unpleasant part of Poland history, which is completely the opposite of what happened under PRL where people were taught to praise their Russian masters and history was written to show that Russians were really the good guys, and that the Katyn massacre of Poland's inteligensia was done by Germans. My own father was a prisoner of war in to Siberia in September 1939.

You Bolsheviks will do everything to erase the long proud history of Poland and attempt to merge the country into some pan-European mush which does not have it's own culture and identity.

Angela Merkel and the rest of the Marxists running the EU want closer ties with Russia.

Of course they would have done it if they had had a chance, they would even demand a seat in the first row.

Yes, I'm sure Jaroslaw Kaczynski was bitterly disappointed not to have been invited to the Russian commemorations marking the end of WW2 and the 50 year occupation of Poland just a few weeks after the assassination of his brother.

Kaczynski is a Polish patriot and fervant anti-Communist and only an idiot would suggest he wants to return to the old PRL era. He has done as much as anyone to de-Communise Poland and pull it out of the past. Changing street names to remove Poland's links with its Communist past has cleared many memories... I notice that the new Marxist leaders in Warsaw among other places have restored some of these names to continue glorifying the Russian occupation. I also notice that the old guard in the judiciary, many of which achieved their position under PRL are pro PO.

Any sane person can see that links between PO and Communists are strong. It is PiS who are anti-Comminist.

Just how many PiS followers propose closer ties to Moscow and advocate a return to Russian rule? Good old Communist collaborator Bolek is all for it.

Remember when Tusk went to Moscow in May 2010, a month after President Kaczynski was assassinated, to celebrate the end of WWII in Europe and the Russian annexation of Poland? I can't imagine any PiS leader doing that, but I'm sure most of the Bolshevik Coalition would be happy to do so.

It's a BOLSHEVIK Coalition of six parties put together by Schetyna who wants to avoid being wiped off the political map of Poland.

Surely Poles are not going to risk putting the country's future prospects in the hands of people who want to revert to the old PRL.

Isn't Schetyna regarded as the least trusted politician in Poland?

I've spent an awful lot of time in England and can tell you that there are an increasing number of areas in which people have no respect for the indigenous culture, which is becoming replaced by a culture imported from Pakistan.

Yugoslavia was a false country with no history. It's amazing that Tito managed to keep it together for as long s he did.

It was made up a six separate countries each with their own language, culture and history. It not at all surprising it fell apart.

I can't even imagine how difficult it was to administer as a unit.

Thankfully my father was not an officer, otherwise this would have happened to him. Instead he was taken as a POW and spent two years in Siberia...

And this is before the Soviet Union supposedly joined WWII. And then all of a sudden they are our 'allies'!

It's strange how the truth about Katyn was suppressed for so many decades and most people in Poland would not even have been taught about the massacre in their history lessons.

And it beggars belief that the new Koalicja Europejska continually babble on about PiS wanting closer links with Russia. Russia has been responsible for a 50 year repression of Poland, including pillaging the country and killing 100,000s of citizens. Who in their right mind would want closer links with Russia? Didn't Lech Kaczynski warn about Russian aggression against its Western neighbours before he was assassinated?

Aircraft wings however, aren't built like a tank. They're fragile things and easily damaged, especially when they smash into things at 250km/h.

So a single tree can smash a large aircraft into a million pieces scattered over a square kilometre....? What was the altitude of the plane when it hit this imaginary tree? 10m?

England is the only country

England no longer exists as a country. Try picking it out from a drop down list when you fill in any online form asking where you were born.

I used to see the words 'Made in England' on all sorts of products. Nowadays it would be considered 'racist' to use such a phrase....

The only manifestations you see of England are in sport - football, rugby, cricket etc

... I still consider myself English, but any form where you are supposed to mark your ethnicity, English is not included, and definitely not White English

All PiS has achieved is to once again isolate Poland and ensure that any future European cooperation will be much more difficult to achieve.

Apart from establishing excellent relations with the US, strengthening the Visegrad group, being one of the leading players in the Three Seas Initiative which covers 12 Eastern European countries and forming a Right Wing political alliance with Italy, which I'd expect numerous other political groupings from other countries to join.

The US "increasing wealth" is a mirage, hot air, dust, and a lot of debt. Poland could be just a smaller copy.
