Genealogy / Slavs are descendants of Sarmatians? [600]

Crow, I am mereley stating what has been the established opinion by international historians for many years. You claim the Etruscians as Sarmatians. We do have found many records of their language, and it is clear that they spoke a mixture of Greek, Phoenician and Italic. No Sarmatian origin whatsoever.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etruscan_language

What evidence are you talking about? Please provide me with a link or anything.

News / "It's too late for Germany" (but not for Poland) [1798]

but what about studies which shows that diverse societies are less stable/peacefull than others.

Which studies are you refering to?

Sociology is not really my main point of interest. I do know however that historians have - together with Sociologists - started to question of long-held believes during the last 30 years or, especially regarding cultural diversity. We know for example that diverse Empire were often more stable than what came afterwards. The Habsburg Empire is a good example for this.

West Germany is also more diverse than East Germany, yet is more safe and peaceful according to criminal statistics.

Use google search.

I did just to be safe. Read the Wikipedia entries about the Etruscans, the Sabines, theThracians and so on. They provide good information about their origin and so on. None of which are Sarmatian. What information are you refering to?

You know Crow, so far you have failed to back up any of your claims. All you do is pointing to -seemingly nonexistent sources - or claiming things anyone with a basic knowledge of Ancient History can debunk.

I must say this really does not speak well of your character. First you insult the heritage of the two most important Ancient European civilizations and then you either have no arguments or you make them up.

The Etruscans were Ancient Greeks (or at least strongly influenced by them). The Sabines were Italics. Neither of them were Slavs, let alone Sarmatians.

The Ancient Greeks Colonized several cities around the Coast of Anatolia, but most of that are was occupied by Persia until well after the Athenian Golden Age. The Thracians were no Sarmatians (and indeed fought many battle against the Sarmatians).

Again, I am waiting for any evidence for what you claimed earlier.

What makes a society peaceful is not its' cultural homogenity, but its' average age and how much opportunities it offers to its' young people. A society with many young people that have trouble providing for themselves are naturally less peaceful.

The demographic situation of Europe before WWI is a very good example for this.

Crow, neither the Romans nor the Greeks expanded in the Balkans as a precondition for their glory.

The Greek city states were tiny yet produced great philosophers like Platon, and build such wonders as the Akropolis.

Rome only really expanded in the Balkans (e.g. Illyrium) under Augustus, many years after they defeated Carthage and conquered Gaul.

And compared to the rich areas in Sicily, Egypt and Gaul, the Balkans were of considerable less importance. This is basic history and can be read in any history book.

Again Crow, you claimed that the Sarmatians have given many things to the West. What exactly are you refering to?

Evidences? Just go google on evidences. Net is full of them

Then it should be easy for you to provide us with them. Because I have not found one single modern historian who support your claims.

Remember, this is what you were claiming:

but actually degraded to suit small, vulgar and greedy societies

If write something like this, one would expect that you are able to back it up. So far you utterly failed in this task.

But, they acquired that all from Sarmats.

Do you have any evidence for this, any sources preferably by modern historians?

You know Crow, I understand that you really want to believe all of this, but historical evidence simply do not support your claims. A quick Google search can debunk what you are writing herr. Most of the ruins you are refering to where build A.D., several centuries after the Greeks have build their architectural marvels. Greek coins are centuries older than Sarmatian history. And so on.

@Crow

Start from coinage. [...] Its not Roman invention and many connects coinage and use of money with Romans. Actually, prior to Roman appearance on historical scene. Prior to Greek existence, too.

No historian would ever claim that coins were a Roman or Greek invention. The oldest coins found so far are from 2600 BC. Greek and Romans are in so far noteworthy, because both produced coins in larger quantities and better qualities than before. However I am still waiting for a significant achievement that can be attributed to the Sarmatians.

I am just asking questions here. You are the one making all those claims, it is up to you to back them up with arguments.

even Greek and Roman social achievements were prefabricated Sarmatian achievements

Such as? I am asking for clear examples here. When people attribute the Ancient Greeks and Romans with the birth of Western Civilization, they usually talk about how they invented Democracy, Philosophy and so on. What have the supposedly great Sarmatians given to the West?
Tacitus

And what exactly, did the "Sarmatians" contribute to the West that could be deemed as a lasting achievement? Especially compared to those of the Greeks or Romans?

News / 'Fort Trump' Military Base in Poland [537]

which makes many Eastern Europeans trust in Germany to defend Ukraine from Putin.

Germany is under no obligation to defend the Ukraine militarily. The Ukraine is not part of Nato, nor has Germany - unlike the USA, UK and France - signed a guarantee for its' borders. Berlin has supported the Ukraine because it is a fellow European country and thus the violation it suffered by Russia is a dangerous precedent. But never did we promise them active military protection. If the Ukrainians ever feel let down, they should direct their anger towards those who failed to live up to their promise (USA, UK, France).

None of what you said has anything to do with a hypothetical "Fort Trump" though. This Fort will not defend the Ukraine, and Poland is covered by a lot of different defensive agreements.

Sources please as my sources tells me that four years ago (before Nord Stream) it was closer to 25%.

google.de/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/07/13/trump-is-exaggerating-germanys-reliance-on-russia-for-energy.html

In short, imported gas makes up only 20% of Germany's energy supply. And Russia makes up less than 50% of those gas imports.

and now they want to double it, right?

This is why I said eventually. Currently Russia accounts for 10% of Germany's energy supply. With Nord Stream 2 it would become slightly less than 20%. Neither 10 or even 20% are any groubd for blackmail.

with the leverage Russia

Russia has no leverage over Germany, certainly no more than Germany has over Russia with Nord Stream. As pointed out many times already, this is just one of the many (over 5000) lies Trump has made up since he became president.

Basic common sense should tell anyone, that even if you eventually account for less than 20% of another countries energy supply, you won't be able to blakckmail them with anything.

Nevermind that Poöand has increased its' coal imports from Russia too.

History / Do Polish people in general dislike Russia or Germany more? [369]

was one of mildest in Eastern and Central Europe

From 1960 on perhaps. Before that the regime was very brutal, there is no way to sugarcoat it.

Is it one of the richest now?

Poland is like the rest of Eastern Europe still dealing with the legacy of the Warsaw Pact

Russian monarchists and afraid of Mongol invasion?

Mongolia is in no position to threaten anyone. Russia however is. Before 2014 I would have dismissed it as scare-mongering, but Putin has since then proven me wrong. He is not simply talking anymore, he followed his words with actions.

Did the live exactly like Pole

I am not sure where you are going with this. Do you think it somehow makes it better that the SU did not single out Poland but instead opressed half of Europe for 4 decades? Or that some regimes installed and kept alive by the SU might have been even worse in other countries (e.g. arguably Hungary) than in Poland?

Why to get scary with "Soviet propaganda"?

Because the current leader of Russia openly voiced his regret about the SU's demise and his main ambition is to get Russia into a similar geopolitical position again. A position that would reduce Russia's neighbours to the role of vassals.

more than the education budget

Honestly, do you get some sort of validation by repeating the same absurd - and more than once refuted arguments - over and over again?

As pointed out to you several times, education policies (and thus financing) are heavily directed by the Länder/counties, and indeed are probably the strongest proof of Germany's federalized nature. The entire budget combined spend on education is around 200bn€.

There is only so much the EU can do when people insist on voting for corrupt politicians.

Which is why Italy is what it is today. And naturally, newer members benefit from closer scrutiny than more established ones.

The EU are doing the same. Do you get it now?

No I do not get it, because this entire comparison is nonsensical. The EU is not using propaganda when it points out how immensely beneficial EU membership been for Poland. Those are simply facts, supported by many economic indicators.

Trying to draw parallels between the Warsaw Pact and the EU is a ludicrous endeavour. You would have to abandon all ration to do so.

The Russians have statistics

Imaginary statistics perhaps. The Russians never invested anything in the GDR.

Unlike the EU in which every expenditure is accounted.

It is kind of difficult to not call the Korean War a success. The primary goal of the intervention was to preserve South Korea, not conquer the North. That only became valid after the surprising success of the initial campaign. Given the circumstances and ressources available, the intervention succeeded in its' initial goal. The same can be said about the first Iraq War (liberating Kuwait) and the intervention in Serbia (stopping the Serbs from comitting further genocide and pacifying the region).
