Life / Where can I buy Zoloft (Medicine for OCD) in Poland [5]

I'm a doctor and I have to agree with Dominic and Johnny thay antidepressants and antipsychotics can not be bought over the counter in the EU..

My advice is checking with your designated family doctor and he will refer you to a good psychiatrist who will be able to assess your situation and prescribe the needed drug or even a newer more effective alternative.

Best wishes.

Study / Why is that one must wait one year to repeat B1 Polish language exam! [5]

Polish exams are held few times per month, but of you don't pass you have to wait for a year before applying again.

In my case I passed 3 of the 4 parts with high marks and failed the last part by a small margin so it is not fair to set such a long wait.

For example: ILETS (UK), TOEFL (USA) english test respectively, could be taken as much as you want until you get the required score with no waitng periods, same goes for Goethe institute certificates of German language and French DSH

Also medical and lencesing test USMLE (USA), AMC (Australia) and PLAB (UK) all could be repeted without a waiting period.

People assuming that putting such long waiting periods for test takers is helpful are really mislead, because this is very uncommon anywhere else in the world!

Study / Why is that one must wait one year to repeat B1 Polish language exam! [5]

I'm applying for polish citizenship, one of the requirements is passing B1 test of polish language from one and only test provider which is Certyfikatpolski.pl

problem is that one has to wait for a year if he doesn't pass the test at first trial which as a result would postpone becoming a citizen for another year and so on.

Applying for my medical license I had to wait for 6 months to repeat the polish medical language test. Those who have tried any exam in Poland know very well how hard and time consuming it is in the absence of a proper study and practice materials and the abundant lack of information. I love this country, but I really don't understand why a European country has to be this way in the 21 century!

Love / Arabs: "Polish women are easy and stupid" [132]

I'm an Arab, I think salvic women are so smart, honest, funny and sexy, though some are arogant, stubborn and snobby specially the ones in countires that currently enjoy a state of prosperity after decades of war and oppression.

On the other hand modern arabs come from different countries with different economical and educational levels and I do not expect any educated gentleman to make such obscured remarks.

Personally I prefer American women, I find them to be educated, smart and have strong character, they are also so funny and easy going.

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

As a muslim living in Poland, you are going to need VODKA :D
Just joking, abstaining is all about self control man, you can't change the world to suit you but neither can the racists, we have to adapt and learn to live together in peace, DIVERSITY is the future.

Life / A Muslim Arab in Poland who loves Polish KABANOS & VODKA [9]

Peaceforce, if you want to blend in, it is all about clothes and accent.

I'm working on it, cheers man :D

I did not even know a family friend was not English, but Lebanese, for many years. He had a posh English accent you see...:)

It's sad but true that unlike in the US where most Arabs are educated elites, here in Europe many arabs came as skilled workers with no high education, they don't speak the local language and end up in low economical conditions, so people here are often surprised to meet a decent arab.

Life / A Muslim Arab in Poland who loves Polish KABANOS & VODKA [9]

I'm not a refugee, I've come here by my own will and with my own money with the intention of settling in and raising a family, I can still move anytime to any country of my choice but that is not what my wife nor I want.

I'm tired of being looked to as an unwanted person untill proven otherwise, a feeling that most foreigners of color in this country have, they even beat people in warsaw metro these days out of fear and hatered.

P.S. I don't think that helping refugees should be an obligation, nations should have there own decisions in regards to whom to help or sympathise with.

Life / A Muslim Arab in Poland who loves Polish KABANOS & VODKA [9]

I meant closer to Saudi in the way most people do not tolerate difference or have one vision influenced by national media.

What I ment regarding Wyborcza and Rzecz is that they are extremely biased, unfortunately the most open minded national media here is closer to the british Dailymail than to BBC

Life / A Muslim Arab in Poland who loves Polish KABANOS & VODKA [9]

Few years ago I came to Poland with my polish wife for the first time, I didn't know much about Poland and frankly I thought it was a communist country which was a little bit off putting.

I was trying my convince her to immigrate to the US where I have a family and a life planned further ahead, but she really loved this country and I fell in love too the first time I stepped foot in Chopin International airport, it was spring time, everything was green and beautiful.

Since her attachment to Poland was infectious, and polish women could be very convincing sometimes, eventually we decided to move here together, where we spent quiet a lot of money to settle and learn the language and eventually recognizing my certificates etc.

The thing is, I had enormous love and respect for this country since the first time I stepped here, even though I'm originally a muslim arab, I decided to open up to my new life; I drank polish VODKA and fell in love with KABANOS and KARKOWKA, not to mention even stripping off for NAGA STREFA SAUNA when I was told that I can't put on more than a towel on Wednesdays :D I did all that and I never for once harrassed nor stared at the beautiful naked polish bodies -of course I peaked when no body was looking but so did poles.

My neighbours and colleagues love me, even the man at the Sauna likes me he even blinks sometimes ;)

But life in Poland isn't always that pink, many people really hate foreigners, you always feel them staring at or even acting rude and sometimes simply cursing and screaming about my color or my origin. I read WYBORCZA and RZECZPOZPOLITA everyday and you always feel the sense of accusation towards arabs as if we are a punch of animals coming to kill and rape women.

We are the same, we have good people and bad people just like you do, but the xenophobic sense unfortunately has taken over this country, people are afraid and ignorant which is a dangerous mix, poles criticise others all the time but they are closer to Saudi Arabia than most arabs are.

I came here with great love to Poland, I have never citicised it, I have always defended it online, I have seen myself growing old in here but now I'm afraid, I'm worried someone could hurt me or hurt my children, I'm worried that the current government could do much more to protect it's foreigners and I'm worried that Poland will end up alone with a low birth rate and a collapse in economy in the next few decades if current attitude did not change, Poles are living currently what we arabs like to call POOR PEOPLE SUDENLY GETTING RICH and SNOBBY.

Law / Pakistani married to Polish Girl in Sweden [40]

I can't see how the religious views of some conservatives arabic females that many of them come from undereducated regions of the world or at least isolated would affect a relationship between two consenting adults -a european female and an arabic male- in real life many muslims and arabic females marry euroepan and american men like we have seen recently between Amal Alamdin and Goerge Clooney.

It is a noted phenomena that first generation immigrants tend to hold on to their original culture while in most cases second generations disperse and emerge and lose contact with their parents home countries eventually.

I myself I'm a first generation of immigrants to a highly educated arabic parents and I do not mind my muslim sister marrying a european or a nonmuslims but that choice is up to her to make not mine. Also my friend's sister has been happily married to an american christian man for many years now.

It is time to stear away from streotyping and work together for a better world.

As an Arab it hurts me to see how our economical situation has made us accused of using european women. We simply find white blond women very attractive. Just like you westerners like Byoncee. People travel looking for a better life just like the british move to Australia and the poles move to briton. Just because many west-east marriages end in divorse it does not mean that they were not true. Divorse and breaking up are growing phenomena affecting the developed world. As they get older people simply change and mature and at some extint in life they might find themselves unhappy together. Such situation specially arise between people from different countries and religions either because of homesickness, family problems or whatever. It is very racist to accuse people of manipulating others because of some reported individual cases. It is like assuming that all arabs or muslims are terrorists because of what the criminal ISIS is doing.

I'm happily married to an educated european woman, we work hard to maintain our marriage and we always talk together about how we feel. She is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. I count hours to come home to her after work. believe it or not arabic people do not grow on trees we in fact have families and many of them oppose marriage to europeans because of the reputation of sex tourism and the prevalence of affairs in the western culture, and they doubt that western partners would remain as loyal as an eastern partner which is ridiculous ofcourse. Stereotyping is unfair. Tolerence is the Key.

Travel / Poland or Philippines? Which is better for a vacation? (sex tourism) [39]

I'm an Egyptian living in Poland. Having lived in the US for a couple of years, I can tell you that you are much more likely to get laid in your own living compound than in Poland. First of all Poland is an average European democrasy, Salaries might not be as high as in the US but it hell is not 4Ks a year LOL! Your question came not only ignorant but also quiet offensive man. Anyways you might find what you are looking for in the German Legalised prostitution, just across the streat from Frankfurt main train station you can find official brothels.
