History / How do Poles feel about 10th anniversary of 9/11 [40]

I'm not sure why my post was merged with this one... this post is asking how people feel about the 10th anniversary.... mine was asking about who was responsible for the original event... this should be a post for respect and rememberance... where as mine is looking and question what went on that day and who is responsible.... Please re-instate it as a seperate post, i think it is out of place to put these two topics together, as well as a little disrespectful...

Thanks

History / How do Poles feel about 10th anniversary of 9/11 [40]

Merged: 9/11 'The Polish Opinion' Who was responsible??

A bit of a different angle really and i'm not sure if it has been asked here before..... Who do you feel is responsible for 9/11?? & what are the reasons behind it?? I'm not goig to give you my view until i've heard a few from the Poles & other people out there. I don't want to say anything because it may effect what you have to say.....

All i will say is that yesterday was a day to remember those 2,977 people who were killed on 9/11/01.. Also a day to show respect for the bravery of the emergency services on that day.. With a special mention to the FDNY, who went way beyond the call of duty......

I'm not sure if there was still a way to create a poll on here and if there is, maybe somebody could point me in the right direction... i'm just looking for open honest opinion about 9/11 and the goings on.... Please however remember and respect those who either lost their lives, or those that knew or were related to somebody killed on that day..

Thanks

T

Life / Cannabis / Weed in Poland... How much does marijuana cost per gram and how easy is to get it? [355]

yeah, if people are drinking too much of that as well, if people cannot control themselves then they deserve to pay the consiquences of their actions.

People on drugs, alcoholics, smokers etc etc get no sympathy as far as i'm concerned and neither should they get treatment if they hit problems, leave them to die in their own stupid world :)

History / Polish history is 100% glorious [297]

I must say that (History) is just one of a few topics that bring this forum down, the Poles banging on about how hard they have had it through history, always talking about it like there is no future for themselves or their country.

As a foreign visitor to this forum, if i did not have a clue about Poland and Polish people i would think that all the Poles needed was a bottle of vodka, a history book and a loaded gun for when they had finished with the other two :)

Forget the S**t and move on to more positive things, the future, what you are going to do in life and what your nation can do!!!!!!

Real Estate / TRESPASSING ON MY LAND IN POLAND....what can i do legally...? [119]

I would take out your shotgun and if they decide to trespass again you shoot them square on in the chest!!!! Atleast they won't do it again, it would probably also put others off from doing the same thing :)

UK, Ireland / Why English do not like Polish? [417]

if you look at what i wrote i said 'a few poles' not 'poles' in general, ie the OP's thread name.

of course there are a minority of Poles who don't like the Enlgish for whatever reason and of course there are a minority of the English that do not like the Poles, however you cannot say 'the English' or 'the Polish'

Not having a dig Ironside, just making sure you got my point

UK, Ireland / Why English do not like Polish? [417]

Why the heck do the majority of English people get labelled 'Pole haters' when actually it is a minority!!!! everytime i see this sort of thread created here it makes me sick!!!

I'm sure a few Poles here and there don't like the English but you don't hear me shouting my mouth of about not liking us!!!

UK, Ireland / why do you shout and throw (question for english people) [30]

People in this country (like any other) sometimes do stupid things, only on sunday when i was out running did a few lads in a car think it would be funny to soak me to the skin by driving through the massive puddle they could have easily avoided. I don't knw what drives people to do things like that, maybe they are just looking for a laugh or wanting to spoil other people's day. As it was i was pleased of the cooling down the water allowed :)

However i totally understand that it can be annoying, whether its water, cups, packets or something worse thrown at you. I would not think its because your Polish (how could somebody tell) its more to do with the fact they are morons!!

History / Is there any part of Polish history that's at least a bit glorious? [192]

well i do hope not, i don't speak about England or Scotland like they are the centre of the earth, i also don't try and convince people England or Scotland is repsonsible for things they are not. I know the sun does not shine out of the backside of either country and i don't kid myslef or anyone else for that matter.

Feedback / Editing time too short (5 minutes currently) [60]

aphrodisiac
What do you mean creating another post?? is that a totally different post from the one you have created?? or are you trying to edit the original??

I thought that you had 30 mins to 'edit' your post however you liked, even if it was 15 mins then if you are the last person to post, you cannot post again until somebody else has.

In general, most women on PF have calmed down. It must be due to a smaller amount of annoying males who used to frequent this forum.

News / What Poland can't do right [113]

totally agree with that, i was not trying to say the British are perfect at the 'dress sense' thing, just that Poland in general (in my point of view) are a little worse :)

Ow and please please please do not get me going on the Polish and their manners (or lack of them at times) I mean really if i didn't know a little Polish i would probably believe that Please/Thank you did not exist in their language!!!! Let alone service with a smile

Yes i have actually, i cannot say i've stayed for a length of time, still though i've walked the streets and seen te people. Maybe they just stand out in the UK because their 'dress sense' is different from that set here, honestly though some of the things i've seen would send a shiver down your spine!!! :)

Women = a cross between a wh*re/Art student

Men = woke up and dressed with their eyes closed

Maybe in Poland they dress better but when they get to the uk they let their hair down a bit :):)

News / What Poland can't do right [113]

In my opinion the dress sense of a lot of Polish people is out dated and in some cases rediculous!!!

For example take tonight, i went to the cinema to watch 'Law Abiding Citizen' and in the que in front of us were a Polish couple, i would say early 20's. The girl was dressed like a hooker (on a cold night as well!!!) but the bloke was the funniest, he was wearing what could only be described as pajama bottoms, trainers that looked about 6 years old along with a nice shirt and leather jacket!!!! I mean what sort of dress sense is that??

Also i don't know what it is with Polish girls sometimes but they really do wear some shocking clothes, i mean all those clashing colours really don't look good, let alone the hooped socks and striped tops, lol that is just to funny. ( i didn't even mentione the colours this time :) )

Ow yes and did i mention the over doing of the makeup!! fake tan!! and other tatty stuff, i often think you would need wallpaper stripper to see what a Polish girls face really looks like :)

Having taken a bit of a haymaker at what the Poles do not do very well, there is a lot they do well/very well, beers and vodkas have always been in mine and many other peoples good books. Would also have to go with the notion that they produce 'strong men' as whenever somebody mentions world strongest man, there is often a Pole there or there abouts.

Life / RUSSIAN WOMAN IN POLAND....welcome...or not...? [33]

I am living in Poland already.... more then a year.... Oh :)
NO ANY PROBLEMS or negative comments in my address during this time.
Or maybe i just do not pay attention to that ^)
Even opposit way :) very offten people (males) in busses or shops flirting with me after hearing my russian accent :)
So, in general situation isn't that bad or dramatic :)

Wel Natalilia i have had no experience with Poles in Russia or Russians in Poland, however if were talking about neighbours that may have a historical grudge or problem with one another i think i have that covered :) Scottish in England, French in England and even the Germans. Generally the story of these people are similar to yours, no problems at all, however there will always be the odd idiot who says or does something stupid to spoil their time in England.

feel free to ask me if You have any questions :)

I know i'm not wildrover but i've never really spoken to a Russian, although i've heard a lot about them and of course Russia itself, mainly though through history.

So would you say that Russian culture is similar to that of the Poles??
I would also like to know if you think Russia is as it claims to be, a democracy, or is it really the same old same old Russia that your parents and grandparents live/grew up in??

What took you to Poland??

I think that will do for now :)

Love / Insultive opinions about Polish girls... [139]

you know us women, never happy ;)

I think thats half the reason us men like you, if women were easy to please then men would probably lose interest and go looking for something else to challenge them :) Its a little like if a woman is too easy, its not always the most attractive thing.

because of her exterior beauty and lovely sounding polish "sz" or "cz"

that does not describe all Polish girls but it sure does describe a few i know of

Love / Insultive opinions about Polish girls... [139]

well that is where you are wrong, its not about being 'better' than any other country, its about liking, celebrating and recognising what my country has to offer me and others. There is no compeition involved unless its a sporting event, in these times everybody is patriotic to a certain extent.

If you want to think about it like that then fine, go ahead and do what you like, you need to get over this crap about money too!!!

Yes, it does. Patriots are a group of egoists. To fit them together, money is needed. When there is money love disappears. It becomes sex only.

ok i think your analysing that a little too much :) i'll let it slide like a shane warne leg spin this time, next time though..............

Patriotic and honesty. Didn't go alone so well. Try another tone.

maybe you want to explain that??? is it a joke :) thats what i'm picking up anyway, English/honesty fit together rather well if you ask me :)
