My parents speak Greek and my niece speak French & Spanish and my brothers speak French and German and Latin!...In fact most if not all of my friends speak at least one other language....You see, as I keep saying, it all depends on the people you know, you obviously are going off the stereotypical family that visit Benidorm! maybe they are the kind of people you know....but as its also been stated, the English are not under pressure to speak another language since everyone is desparate to speak ours!

and also it`s just about everywhere you go. it`s in the music and the movies. that`s how i started learning - by listening to music.

So what is the point you are trying to make??? That English is widely spoken? Yep that's been covered more than once!

yeah, that`s because english is so bloody easy to learn :)

Is that why most foreigners cant get the simple things like tense correct...yeah must be really easy :) Just because someone says "yeah I speak English" is doesn't mean for one moment that they actually speak it properly! There's a big difference...

yeah usually the native english speakers make mistakes as well.

I'm sure they do, as I am sure that Polish people make mistakes in their own language!

i`m not trying to make any points :)

Really? so why have you been banging on trying to make a point that the English are incapable of speaking another language and by and large calling the national lazy!

And never never never never exchange at an airport...its the worst rate you can get! Unless you are changing £ to euro and everywhere is shite at the moment :( only a week and a half to go before Im in sunny Spain....please let the euro increase....

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

And another thread with stupid generalisations, each relationship is unique, what works for one couple doesn't necessarily work for another....and just because your partner is nodding their head and smiling saying yes dear, doesnt mean that they're not off to the pub with their mates as soon as they walk out that door......some times its far easier to 'appear' submissive to get what you want ;-)

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

Search for this article: Students from every school in Britain to visit Auschwitz.

Im not sure what your point was - British kids are visiting the camp as part of their GCSE studies because they are studying WWII which has only recently been introduced onto the curriculum countrywide.

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

It's not about the Brits

You brought the Brits into this, I was merely explaining the situation.

The article was titled 'Student to visit Polish concentration camps'.

The camps happened to be in Poland and exterminated 1,000,000's of Polish people so I dont actually see anything wrong with the title, what do you propose they be called

"German Concentration Camps Based in Poland which Exterminated, Polish Jews, Czechs, , Hungarians, Gypsis, French Jews, Ductch Jews, German Jews and members of the Polish Resistence Movement and any other persons who happened not to fit into Hitlers grand scheme"

BTW It's not just about Poland, there were plenty of Camps.

Unfortunately it wasnt a minority.

Horrified at the whole thing I may be, but I'm not ashamed of strangers. Football hooligans being said to bring shame on an entire country is a load of ..er..tosh.

I seem to remember you banging on about the British abroad, trust me I have never in my entire life seen the British abroad act these animals and that goes for the women too they were just as disgusting!!!! and the parents that let the kids drink alcopops at 09:00 in the morning.....It took 24 hours to clear up the mess they left and Piccadilly still stinks of pi$$ and puke, for those that moan about the British in Krakow, trust me never host an event where you might get 100,000 of these f*cking aniamls!! The cleaner at my office got her top ripped open as she was just walking along and another girl got called an English *****!

Love / Polish Girl & an Arabic Guy - at first it was hard, but now it's great! [46]

rbehloul

no it's wrong what he is thinking,he must teach them islam ,because if he is musulman
and beleives at god he is afraid that he goes to hell and wants to go to paradise

Looks like, she found a lovely man who cares more about whats on earth than whats awaiting him in heaven...because let's be honest, nobody actually knows whats awaiting us in the after life.

about the hidjab is madatory for musulman woman to cover his body and not to
exite other man when she goes outside home

Hmm, not manatory, after all it doesn't actually state in the Koran that a woman MUST wear it.

she shows her beauty only for her husband, and the musulman man also never have a look to for foreign woman with passion because fornacation is forbiden in islam, and often it bigins by looking to a woman than to tell her HI the next day he invite her for dinner and the last time inviet her to his bed

Now it would seem that you are describing what you do when you walk down the street. or maybe describing what you'd like to do but no western woman will touch you because you smell of camels and curry!

i advise you to have a look on the translated coran you will know the the truth

ROLF!

Love / Is Indian/Polish relationship possible? [370]

why the Polish company do brought me over with a 5 figure salary to work in Poland

My ethnic origin is Indian

unemployment rate is increasing in Poland.

You obviously work for less than a Pole then because I seriously doubt you have skills any better than a native other than you speak punjabi (I'd make the most of it over there, because Poland may take the line that Britain is taking regarding the points system :) ) It's quite clear that your written English isn't the reason they brought you over though.

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

I don't think Turks are like Greeks, Greeks mix, Turks dont, simple as that. There are some similarities in complexion (both have olive skin, but thats down to climate)and food, but I'd say I could tell a Greek from a Turk 9 out of 10, the very odd and occasional good looking Turk will pass for a Greek ;-)

They seem to mention visa fees, as far as I am aware Poles dont need visas, maybe they are referring to the the Aussies, NZ's, Africans and Asians...

This is an old link but I am assuming nothing has been done about it, since they found some woman who had purchased a child the other week to bring back to claim benefit for!

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-418487/Jail-immigrant-built-mansion-benefit-fraud.html

The last one is quite good!

My point Numpty is you seem to be blind to the amount of Pakis and Africans that are flooding the country who are about the same as Europeans as a fcuking donky is to a fish!

The BMP? BMP?

Simple typo, as you know M is next to N on the keyboard..

how does that make me a "lefty"?

Actually I'd say twatt is more appropriate...

I wish I had your ignorance

Because I dont like Asians or the new African immigrants that makes me ignorant, oh well so be it!

Real Estate / Is there a Real Estate bubble in Krakow? [60]

The Polish economic situation is also worth mentioning. Unemployment continues to fall (now 10%)

Could that be because over 2 million people found employment elsewhere since their joining the EU? How would the figures look if all those that left returned?

History / What do Poles think about Turks? [761]

I will repeat again ''Turkey is secular''. Have you ever visited Turkey ?

I have and I have to admit I enjoyed it, it was a few years ago I was there - I saw no women in head scarves or looking remotely like the muslim women in the UK...Turkey is most definately a secular country. I saw men sipping raky and playing board games and women working in shops.... ;0)

But in all honestly I dont quite see where Turkey would fit in the EU...

Love / My boyfriend is on a Polish dating site [158]

You and Fireif seem to have a lot in common.....both of you are with people who cause you to totally lose all sense of reality.....move on with your life.....without the cheater!

This girl has been with her guy for 3 years, you would expect a certain degree of respect and trust in that time...FuckwitFireif is just a brainless nob!

He is going to say you are stupid
he will get angry with you
he will make you feel paranoid
he will make you doubt yourself
he will make you feel bad for accusing him of these things
he will act hurt
etc etc etc

Couldn't have put it better...as for the loan, sorry but it might be more money to add to your debt..live and learn...

Wonder what happened to her?

sounds like he's been using her all along.

some people are built like that and are out for what they can get and then move on when it dries up....I've always had a policy of never lending b/f's money..

Love / My boyfriend is on a Polish dating site [158]

It seems to be about what HE wants, a relationship involves two people making decisions together,

Maybe not an ex. I'm thinking "current" or even "wife".

They've been together for 3 years, would it be possible to have such a double life for so long?

Oh well, I dont think that any amount of advice offa bunch of randoms off a forum will persuade her to make any life changing choices...

know that I need to get rid of him but its so hard as he convinces me that he still loves me and doesnt want to be without me.

He needs a sh*g, a sympathtic ear and of course money....

I do wish you all the best, no woman deserves to be treated in such a way.
