Asian guy in love with Polish girl (any chance?)

Ok, this might seem really stupid, but I am an Asian (Thai) guy living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. There are always many beautiful Polish girls around. However, I've lately been struck by a girl who works part time at this deli that I sometimes drop by for some food.

She is absolutely adorable and it seems she always perks up with a smile when talking to me. (I don't say much. I just order the food, pay, smile and leave.) I find myself thinking about her quite often lately. Whenever I walk by, I peek in to see if she's there.

Do I have a shot at all if I ask her out? How should I go about asking her out? Should I ask her to the movies? Dinner? What kind of conversation is appropriate when I'm buying stuff at the deli? I feel like I'm in high school again with this "crush" but I'd really love to get to know her.

What do Polish girls think of Asian guys? I don't know any Asian guys who are dating Polish girls. My co worker is Asian and she dates a Polish guy but he does not really hang with the Polish community.

Oh gosh her smile.....help!

Hello

Asian guy in love with Polish girl (any chance?)
Long answer NO, short answer YES. Which would you prefer? the long answer or the short one?
If you ask her, the worst she can do is say NO, so you have really nothing to loose.

Only one way to find out. If you don't ask her, someone else will. She can only say yes or no,

Ask her to do something that doesn't restrict her. Like going for a coffee, and then take it from there.

osirion, first ask her about her name, tell her that it's lovely, then ask her where is she from in Poland and how long she's been in the states, then ask her to grab a coffee with you...(----> then a movie, dinner, picnic, walk in the zoo, dinner with breakfast, then a road trip, then meet your parents, then meet her parents, ask her to marry you, then wedding and a honeymoon...then kids ...) as simple as that...

:) good luck :)

Is it trying to hard if I say something to her in bad Polish? Thanks for your comments guys! I have no idea why I'm so intimidated. She seems like the sweetest person ever and I've had success with beautiful woman in the past.

The other ladies that work the deli always serve up with a frown that seems to ask me..."what are you doing in here?" She sees me and lights up. I don't know why! I'm definitely not handsome and more on the chubbier side. Maybe it's wishful thinking haha.

Sigh...

Yes I think it would not hurt and could work as a good ice breaker.
Go for it my man, but just make sure to report back to us what happened, ha ha ha
Yes leave out the killing bit, the first time anyway.

hhhmmm,a bit on the intense side but;

maybe tell her: You have a beautiful smile. - Masz piękny uśmiech.

oddly enough the first Polish phrase I ever learnt was "you have beautifull eyes";

but how do I pronounce that properly? Or should I just say it in English?

in "english" Mash pyinkna oshey......

Oh gosh her smile.....help!

Woah,youve been hit by what the guys over the Brooklyn bridge (and in Godfather II) call the Thunderbolt....Yay,its great isnt it :)

I think it's easier for a Polish guy to ask out an Asian than for an Asian guy to ask out a Polish girl.

But thanks for the encouragement!

We have a few people from NY-NJ here and most have heard of greenpoint. I don't see what your trouble is. Just ask her out. What's the worst she can say? "No, I don't like Asians"? Then she isn't worth it anyway. You're from NY...gotta be a mover...no time for soap operas :)
