Tell me ash, what nationality are you?

well well, i think the polish are forgetting what and who they fought for in war

Polish people fought for themselves! Warsaw uprising anyone??? Ash go learn a bit of history!

hi im from england, of indian ethnicity

Only reason you are in England is because we were stupid enough to colonise your ****** country! Poland doesnt owe you lot anything...In fact England doesnt owe you anything, get used to racism..its getting worse in the UK, multi-culturalism is a distaster and its going to end badly!

News / Mass immigration to Poland - article and response [479]

Migration is largly a product of failed economic policies determined by the technology available at the time in question.

Please explain why India's main export their male population then? Oh apart from the ones from villages they can marry off that are female! India has (so we are told) the worlds best technology!

Im waiting!

My problem is out sourcing to 3rd word countres and causing stress to families in this country when they sell on their private medical records....these people are savages and dont deserve western business! They have your lives to sell...Lloyds outsource all of their data, this includes all of the companies within their group! They know your debt and can sell it on! Halifax are the large mortgage group in the UK!

Love / Polish girlfriend going back to Poland if I dont buy engagment ring [85]

But we should be aware of the fact that there are still many Polish girls who have a pressure from their families to get married quickly

She isnt living in Poland but she is living in the 21st century.

This is said by a girl? Interesting world. It's like beat her.

He should beat her really hard about the head with a large blunt object if she mentions marriage again.

Classifieds / English cuisine week in Lidl shops in Poland [203]

I'm gonna buy a bottle (or two) for myself

Im no brand snob, but when it comes to malt vinegar, there is only one! Sarsons..

britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Sarsons_Vinegar.html

I dont see anything remotely British about it (okay, Ill give them mint sauce)...we dont call crisps "chips".. Steak pie could be from anywhere - I'd say "steak & Ale" is British..Cod in batter, well, the Spanish deep fry fish..

By the way "Hatherwoods" isnt a company..It just makes the products sound nice and English!

Short people are also human (according to rumour) but they should only get half a vote.

They are half human since they are so short :D

She looks Irish.

Work / Does it make sense to move from the UK to Wroclaw for this salary? [50]

Baby food for instance - if you make your own, it's likely to cost next to nothing, especially if you just give the baby what's available seasonally. But if you buy the jars of branded stuff, you could easily go through quite a lot of money that way.

Same in any country.

Even though, I'd expect double of what they offered taking into account my educational background (British University) and 7 years of experience in IT environment...

I dont think having a British eduction means a thing, you do not speak Polish so you are at a dissadvantage straight away...7 years in one profession isnt exactly something to shout about either...

Good luck

Life / Beggers namely Kurwa boys in Poland [70]

I had a guy that got on my bus every few weeks with a different story...the last time he did it was at a different point on the route, as he usually does it in the town centre - he said his sister had been killed (there was the usual bunch of flowers by the road side) and he needed money to get to the hospital to see her body!! I knew the junky piece of $hite was lying...so I just ignored him (as usual) well so did everyone else on the bus! (fook knows why these drivers let him on)...

Then...An old lady in her late 70s opened her purse and gave him some money...WELL, I lost my rag and told him he was the worst scum on this earth and for him to give the money back to the lady (I didnt sware as I do have a high level of respect for the elderly)...He was gob smacked and got of the bus! You know I was the only person on the bus to say anything...Men on the bus watched him take money off this old lady!

Not seen the tw*t since on that route!

Moral of the story is dont give to those who ask...

I always give to a good busker!

Work / Does it make sense to move from the UK to Wroclaw for this salary? [50]

I can knock up a huge pot of spaghetti bolognaise, made from nothing but fresh ingredients (except the spaghetti itself) and without skimping on anything for less than 20zl - and that's enough to feed 4 people for two dinners without being greedy about portion size.

So you eat the same thing 2 days on the run and have measly portions to stretch it out? The fella has a wife and a baby, have you any idea how much nappies cost? Or are you proposing he uses terry nappies? Have you any idea how it cost to cloth a baby (Im not talking about designer here either)?

So living like a complete pauper, excluding utilities and travel, you'd still spend about 500 per month on food..That doesnt sound right to me, Ive been to Poland 3 times 2 of those times I stayed in an apartment and went to the shops for ham and bread and a few other things,to be quite honest I was quite shocked, It wasnt a lot cheaper than in the UK, yet you expect this guy to live on less than (probably) half of what he earns in the UK? I suppose he'll just have to get used it...

UK, Ireland / Question about Irish-Polish similarities [25]

beef, etc

They use more pork than beef from what I can tell. Stew is stew thats the only thing..

Anyways-- I was wondering what things in both cultures are really similar? These could be proverbs, jokes, drinking toasts, slang words etc.

Both alcholics and work in the building trade, probably beat their wives when they get home from a heavy drinking sesh and dont do diddle round the house to help their wives with the seven kids!

Foreigner4

You're wasting your breath or should I say key strokes as people who live in Poland have absolutely no idea, maybe they should have a look at this link to give them an idea of what goes on, on the streets of England with our lovely multi-cultural society.

timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article554401.ece

The above article is from 2005, they probably just dont bother reporting it in the news papers anymore its that commonplace.

Love / My recent experience with a Polish girl. [231]

Because I like her, I'd like to see her as a friend. maybe it would work, maybe not.

Why on gods earth would you want to be friends with someone who ignores you????? Its not going to work...she doesnt want any contact with you and all you will do (imagine a girl stalking you after you have ignored her texts and calls?) is really start to irritate her..

I hope you take my advice because I can imagine a couple of burly Polish guys coming round for a chat if you dont...

Oh by the way Im English and trust me we can behave exactly the same as your last Polish girl...We also get just as irritated with stalkers.

What's the other story?

You're such an old woman at times :D

She was interested, then changed without explaining

People do this all the time...She got bored with you, time to move on, her saying she would stay friends was a mistake, she was far too nice.

UK, Ireland / Sad life of a Polish migrant in the UK. Ch. 5 - Racism [259]

In England I was a Paddy (and other negative comments), subhuman.

Paddy is an Irish name... :D

I do get a constant trickle of innate anti-Irish racism from many English acquaintances, mainly those who can't understand why Ireland ever wanted to be independent of the UK.

They're a tad thick then.. Take no notice... The person that started this thread, however, is really thick!

Foreigner4

I bet she never wears those tight, short market-stall jackets with "D + G" on them, either ;)

Never...she's too classy, she's got a Kalvin Klein one and a Berberry bag. (all spellings were intentional...OR knows what I mean)

none at all - I just stick my head out of the window, and it comes in rock'n'rolling.

Ksysia, I bet you have some lovely jeans, I’m almost envious every time I see a Polish woman walk by sporting the most magnificent jeans I have ever seen...Maybe you could write about those in your next thread?

No, they tried not to pay. Evidently you think that all foreigner are poorer than the English? Or that one has to be starving to come to a country like yours? No, she asked Daddy for the money.

So why didnt she do that in the first place instead of complaining and why didnt she open a hotel in her own country which she probably could have done with what it cost for a house over here...again you are talking bollox! (and that nose just gets bigger and bigger)

That's all you have to say. you should have stayed out of Africa.

But she had such a wonderful career in Africa and came here and complained she couldn't get her dream job! Do you know how many English Grads are leaving uni and have no prospects because of the economic climate..she should go back to her own country..Last time I looked Africa were not part of the EU. Or do you think she has some special right, I'm hearing "its because I is black init" How big do you think this Island is?

just go on and prove my point.

You came here for our wonderful climate? Our food? Our wonderful culture that people often slag off? You came here sweet heart for one reason!

And McCains hadn't killed their Maddie?

I have no idea..only they know if they did. But what has that got to do with imaginary English women giving birth on imaginary steps of hospitals? Didnt they give a bribe...whoops.... my bad that would be Poland where you do that kind of thing!

Pull your head our of your hole, as advised by your countryman.

I think wind ya neck in would be the right term, but since Ive not seen that on here, I'd just like to call you a BIG FAT LIAR again...

Blimey...how long does it take for you to think this bollox up?

My friend 'Sandra' from Shanghai have tried working for them, too, and quit, too. She bought a house to live as a landlord, because she just couldn't stand the everyday attitude.

Evidently she likes the money they pay, or how else would she have afforded a house?

My friend from last work, Damola, wanted to transfer her bank manager job to Britain. She came, and found that all the work she can get was cleaning.

Then she should have stayed in Africa.

Why are you still here? ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ get the f*ck out of my country! We dont want or need you! (is that racist enough for you, you thick slavic sl*t?)

Huh ? They aren't white, they are pink.

She's talking bollox Doggie...

I actually read that British wome were sent away from hospitals or made to go in labour on the steps of the hospital.

Where? proof or it didnt happen..(which it didnt)

I will be amazed if anyone said that and they weren't joking.

Just another lie she made up...blimey her nose must be HUGE! even for a Pole :D

The last time I had fish and chips the fish was substandard...that was about 2 years ago - I dont think most chippers use cod these days - Pollock is supposed to be a sustainable nice fish, but it wasnt even that what I had...Its put me off for life..I'd rather have a McD and I have to say thats the most vile thing on this planet!

I'll stick to Marks & Sparks £10 deal as my over-indulge for the month!
