Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2663]

poziomka2: Wow Zimny youpolice do not pollute this thread with off-topic rubbish. It is not about hunting.

Please do not write rubbish, there is too much pollution as it is. It is not about hunting but Zimny made it is so, so mind your own business. Now, you want to introduce guns to Poland do so but take a hike somewhere else. We do not need more chaos in our country, it was very peaceful during communist era, now it is less so and you wan to make it even more chaotic and dangerous? Go, make a fake plastic gun and play with it, not enough for you?

Real Estate / The cost of a furnished apartment near Warsaw downtown are high? Why? [42]

Warsaw? Haha and you want cheap apartment? Gee, why don't people realise something, Poland is not a country where you can just come in and get anything for free, it is Warsaw we are talking about, nothing is cheap there. I suggest smaller town apartment or one on the outskirts of Warsaw.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2663]

poziomka2: So don't play with guns Zimny!I don't want to be cruel but your sophomoric comments suggest that you really have no idea about this subject. I enjoy target shooting , I enjoy hunting and in one instance I've even protected myself.

Wow Zimny you even protected yourself, that's fantastic, I protected myself too, didn't need a gun for it though. You hunt? Hmm, do you need to hunt, because the animals you hunt want to live too and don't want to be prey just because you want to have fun, if you want to live let others live too, you wouldn't want to become the hunted would you? How would that feel if some animal outsmarted you and knocked your little gun out of your hand? You would regret ever getting a hold of that gun, you gun at talking here but you wouldn't be smart if you faced the animal who you decided to hunt without your little weapon of death, not much of hero then huh?

USA, Canada / Think you're Polish (and live in the USA)? [161]

Here are some questions to assist those of you who think you might be Polish but live in the USA on a permanent basis

Paper does not make anyone anything you are Polish at heart no matter if you have citizenships or entitlements to the benefits of other country's services. We Polish are scattered all around the world and some want to diminish our numbers so we are weakened and in times of trouble and unrest we will not have support from overseas Polonia. We are all Polish if we feel Polish, that's all the rest to it, some are just jelaous of our solidarity and want to break us up, let's not give in.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2663]

If you got shot in a leg (which I don't wish for you even though you sound like a gut totting idi.t) then you would be..what you call it? Oh yeah, EMOTIONAL! Your pimply school boy logic would disappear in a flash. So don't play with guns Zimny! They are dangerous, especially in the hands of a child, and we don't want children running around with guns in Poland do we?

Food / What are favorite herbal teas in Poland/especially loose leaf? [15]

I drink a lot of chammomile, hibiscus or rasberrry leaf when not pouring tons of fruity dark blends with Orange Pekoe, or Green teas

Chammomile I only use for flushing eyes and I drink the rasberry one but these days the flavours are so mixed up you just don't know what's in each tea bag.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2663]

Why don't you hunt tigers and lions but on a more equal grounds, that is without guns, so that the animal has a chance to strike back at you, otherwise all you lot obsessed with guns look like cowards, who hunting animals for fun in an unequal challenge, sorry but you do come across as cowards and sadists in that regard.

Zim as pointed out to you several times on this thread you stated that you want to fight tyranny I asked how and when yet you pretend there is no question that is dishonest.

What tyranny? And why use guns for it? There are better ways to fight tyranny. In Poland we don't fight tyranny with guns, it is only used as the last resort.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

poziomka2: Because in Poland you do not have to prove your blood lines to become a politician or equal citizen. Wrong again. In order to be Polish you do have to prove your blood line: Poland uses jus sanguinis when it comes to assessing who is and is not Polish, just being born in Poland does not make one a Polish citizen.

You are actually right about the blood lines and citizenship. However, you do not have to be a citizen to become a politician in Poland.

poziomka2: could the Gentiles attain the same position in the Israeli government as the Jews? Yes they can: they serve in the Knesset, the cabinet, and the supreme court.

So it is a selective policy, because a non-Jew does not generally have the same rights as a Jew in Israel.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

Really? Do feel very free to quote from them and to link to them. But I fear that quoting from the kind of books which taught you that Lufthansa took part in the battle of Britain will just get you laughed at.

Look them up yourself for a change. Yes, for the 100th time there was Lufthansa, either as a second unit and the name became Lufthansa.

Given that you claim the town was controlled by Jews and that gentiles couldn't live in it, why were only a tenth of the councilors Jewish? Oh, and do feel very free to link to a source which supports your claim about Polish merchants.

Jews regulated the trade.

poziomka2: if you don't have Jewish blood you don't even get to study there because you are not a citizen, that's what I call tolerance.

A quarter of Israelis have no Jewish blood and that proportion goes up every year.

You are bypassing the question. I will ask it again, could the Gentiles attain the same position in the Israeli government as the Jews? Of those 25% is anyone with equal rights, same rights accorded to the Israeli Jews? Could Polish be given the same rights as the Jews in Israel? Because Jews in Bransk, in a Polish town, were given even higher rights than some Polish. Can a non-Jew study at public university in Israel? And if so, can then such Gentile become a politician or councillor making decisions in Israel? Because in Poland you do not have to prove your blood lines to become a politician or equal citizen. I am asking again. Answer the question please.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

poziomka2: the deputy had a lot to say,Got any proof of that?

Yes, history books.

poziomka2: Jews had a lot of free hand, Such as the freedom to not account for more than a tenth of the number of councilors.

That's more than Polish merchants and country folk combined, any more complaints? How many Polish councillors, senators, politicians are there in any town in Israel? I forgot, if you don't have Jewish blood you don't even get to study there because you are not a citizen, that's what I call tolerance. But if it was the other way around a Jew would call it Jew-hating.

poziomka2: you are stretching and stretching it, just to acquit Jews.Acquit them of what exactly?

Of inappropriate behaviour in Branks.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

[quote=Harry]Who says that in Bransk Jews took control? Jews accounted for a tenth of the number of town councilors and their number was limited by law. The mayor of Bransk was a gentile and his deputy a Jew.

Even if so, the deputy had a lot to say, and in those days law and order were not so strictly followed like today the order and chaos intertwined each other, Jews had a lot of free hand, you are stretching and stretching it, just to acquit Jews.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

To Jon- Inside Poland's borders so it was a Polish city where Jews were allowed to take control. Did Jews do it rightly by Polish folk? NO, it does not matter what the deal was between Jews and Polish royals, this was not right, and then you wonder why Polish folk didn't like the Jews, and just before you call them anti-Semites those Polish were also discontent with Polish royalty, just the same. Are you surprised? Would you let Polish create country within a country, let's say within your Jewish community? A separate body of power? You are not famous for your tolerance of differences, anything different to Judaism is scorned.

Life / Moving from India to Poland very soon. What do I need to know before I move? [7]

A lot of change of clothes! Warm clothes as well, woollen hat, nylon pants or skinny, pyjama pants underneath one or two pairs, together 2 to 3 worn at once if you are mowing in the middle of winter in Poland. Also jumper, change of jumpers because inside you will sweat in 20 to 25 degrees - room temperature and outside in January and February it will be up to minus 20 or more.

History / Terrible past for the Jews in Poland? [930]

If the obligatory interviews with the Jewish Community Board that were required for Gentiles requesting permission to move into the center of the town of Bransk were just a formality, that had no bearing upon whether of not said Gentiles would be allowed to move into the center of Bransk, then why were they mandatory?

I did not know about this. This is shocking, why were Polish or Gentiles not allowed to enter their own city by Jews????

Life / Hey, Nice Airport Wrocław! Or! Day #1 for an American Ex-Pat in Poland. [128]

but I can definitely tell you there were no homeless people armpit deep in the trash like there were when I lived in Ferio Gaj.

I feel sorry for homeless people, I know some homeless folk and I wouldn't be making fun of them this way. Those who are better off should help instead of talking like that about them.

News / Poland Unemployment: Nobody protests, because people are leaving [30]

And if we win, foreigners with their markets and banks OUT!

How can we win when nobody revolts, what's needed now, and it is time, is 1990 style of strikes and boycotts. The government at the moment is not scared of us, we are not even ready to set up a proper strike because not enough is being done towards it, everyone is still hoping for something, wow, it's been 23 years, I think that would surely be long enough for the most patient ones.

Law / Bank accounts taxed by up to 10%. Can it happen in Poland? [150]

Wow! So have they closed the banks yet, as is customary in times like these? I would be flying to the bank to get my money out and never put back again if I was Cyprian. I think we better watch in Poland because our government likes to copy the EU.

Love / My Polish wife's family hate me. Maybe it is because I'm black. Advice needed. [87]

ok, but they fight me everyday.

And the first think that comes to your mind is that because you are black? Didn't it occur to you that maybe they just don't like you for who you are not for colour of your skin? When you become a parent you will understand, after all you are to share a life with their daughter and you are the stranger coming into their lives and their daughters, it is understandable that they would feel uneasy about it, like in most situations like these.

Life / Don't Forget: Tomorrow, March 8 is Women's Day in Poland! [115]

I also remember reading about a British MP, I think, who thought that studying at university would damage women's brains ^__^

Hahaha! Lucky I never studied at university my brain is very fragile as it is, and to think that I was criticised for not reading books. Now I feel better, I saved my brain, I knew reading only comics would pay off.

USA, Canada / Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people? [226]

"Hate" is a very strong word, I think this thread is not really necessary, it is too blunt as well, maybe it would sound better if the question was structured differently.

Love / Any Polish Muslim girls living in Poland? [103]

I do not understand why people come here to provoke Polish people just so then they can call us racists? This thread is provoking to make us look bad, it seems to me right from the start. It seems to me the thread was set up this way, it started innocently and then it went straight into discussing Polish as racists.

Life / Don't Forget: Tomorrow, March 8 is Women's Day in Poland! [115]

You hate women.

I don't think Zimny hates women, he was right in a way and wrong as well, I think you are a little judgemental. Feminism has done great things for women but certain strands of feminism have spoiled it all and many women, genuine feminists do not want to associate with those so called "feminists", precisely because they appear to hate men; those women are then no different to men who hate women.

Another thing is that you can not tell people here to leave the forum, that is not your right to do and besides that, we are having a discussion, we do not have to all agree, that is what discussion is about, it seems like you only fancy a discussion where everyone agrees with you. You are too aggressive for no reason, just relax a bit.

USA, Canada / Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people? [226]

I don't think Americans or Canadians dislike Polish people in particular, in most cases they may not notice us, generally they don't pay attention to us which is fine with me. I think we do not have to be the centre of attention, we are modest people and Americans would not understand our motives or certain concepts if we started talking about our history, for instance, and how we suffered and how courageously we defended our country and how we pride ourselves on that and how this is the number one aspect of our being, which for Americans is not, for Americans the expansive efforts of warfare and conquer are the themes which they try to incorporate in their society as the most significant - survival of the fittest, doesn't matter about the weak (not every American agrees with it though). We are different but we both get along well in most cases - from what I observed.

Love / ACCEPTABLE modest wear for Polish women? [49]

I can wear anything i want as a woman. In South America i don't remember where sorry about that , women can walk the street without their bra, that is called freedom.
