LC, wear what you'll be comfortable in. The gloves are an option because if you feel overdressed you can remove them. The fascinator, only wear if you'll be happy with it.
Neither would I worry about that. As I said, only wear what makes you feel comfortable and are happy with. You'll look great and most important - have fun :)

It's quite a large group but your age group should favour you. I'd imagine that you won't have much problems unless you plan on being loutish :) It's really the drunken, disorderly "younger" stag parties that they are cracking down on. I imagine if you are planning a meal and then some drinks it will be fine. :)

I think it's £7.50 each per day so it's not over-priced (IMHO).

It does look sloppy and can't be good. My cheapo ones don't do that at all. :)

LOL!! I see that all the time. Apparently, that happens because the skin stretches so much that they end up losing some of their shape. It looks sloppy.

I don't like pointy toe shoes either. I have one pair, which look nice with jeans and a top in the summer but I can't wear them if I have to walk any distance because they get hurt. And yeah, the pointy bit makes me think of a witch :)

I truly think one of the problems with this country is that employers/agencies are allowed to do what you write about above. It really throws the equal opportunities thing right out the window and obviously, in cases like you describe, it's local workers who come of worst (Brits).
In fact, I'm not sure they really are "allowed" to do it, but they are getting away with it through some loophole or another!

Although, I'm not talking about all Brits, I am talking about those who whinge that their jobs are being stolen but who wouldn't work anyway. I am aware there are unemployed British folk who would take any job to get themselves started on the career ladder. It's not them I'm talking about at all.
I didn't say Poles work harder, I was talking about the low-paid jobs that previously weren't filled but are now filled due to Polish people. For example, my company advertise some of these low paid jobs and truly, it's not British people who are coming for the interviews...(others may advertise these posts and have many British people for interviews but that is not my experience).

No. If you're talking about real farmers then I know that tenant farmerin E Scotland are being paid just above minimum wage. Although they are getting houses with this (but must pay for their own houses after retirement or after leaving farming). I'm saying that British worker with mortgages will only have been given one with adequate wage so they won't be refusing low paid jobs to pay mortgage because they wouldn't have got mortgage with such a job. They may have been given a mortgage with another salary and if that's the case, a drop in salary would be considered by the lender...overall, something would be worked out. Read back huh...

Everyone starts somewhere...if you have a mortgage and find yourself in a "poor" situation then you can take a break from your mortgage (it'll be written in your terms somewhere) but if you've never been solvent enough for a mortgage, you'll never have been given one.

OK, so what you're effectively saying is that by filling positions that Brits find "below them", immigrants are NOT boosting the economy...eh? How can that be? They are doing jobs that were previously not filled. Therefore they are paying taxes where tax was previously not paid (for example).
Don't kid yourself that if tomorrow, all the Poles went home, Brits would snap up the available jobs. Wouldn't happen. Mister H, what about the thousands of able Brits who don't contribute tax because they are unemployed? They're still entitled to NHS help.
So my Polish friend has been paying tax for two years and breaks her arm falling on the ice. She can't get that arm fixed on the NHS because she hasn't contributed for a minimum of 5 years?

The employment figures are based on population so it's most likely that of the "16,000" people who have gained employment, a huge majority of them are Polish.
