I agree with you on that. Poland under the occupation of Soviet controlled communism was a prison.

I'm too young to remember but I've heard a lot of stories from my family members. I've also studied this subject and the more I've learned the more anti-communist I became.

I'm glad that you've mentioned that. In Poland there's a completely different trend and conservatism is on the rise.

SLD, an ex commie socialist party that was always present in Polish parliament since 1989 is there no more! For the first time they were completely voted out of parliament in 2015, the same year when PiS has gained majority in parliament. PiS is the very first party that had a majority in Polish parliament.

And let's not forget Kukiz 15 which a new, right-wing, political formation in Polish parliament and it chipped away votes from other parties. And what is even more interesting they took those votes from the other, non conservative parties, It is also worth to mention that Kukiz 15 is dominantly supported by a young voters.

Well, I knew that he's British but I've always thought that he was born in Northern Ireland, judging by the accent and the fact he's a redhead :-). Dougpol1 is right, accents are not my strong point. All North British accents sounds very similar to me.

Once I went to my local GP I met a lady from Manchester. She had a very strong accent and I thought she's from Scotland, which she's found it very amusing :-P

I'm not saying that you should. It is just very strange that you are so unobservant.

I know people who react enthusiastically when they arrive to "multicultural London". Many of them get disillusioned pretty quickly, like my friend who was almost sexually assaulted by a group of a young pakistanis on a weekend night, and not on some outskirts of London but in zone 1.

And I also know those who don't like it at all and only came here to make some money and move out asap.

But that's true you know. I live in London [at the moment] and I can observe it on a daily basis. It is especially visible when you come to London from a predominantly white country like Poland. That's true that I think that Germany, throughout our common history, was the worst neighbour that we could imagine. And even now German politicians are trying to control Poland, most of the time hiding behind the backs of EU bureaucrats.

And that's also true that I wouldn't cry if Germany has collapsed.

But from a strategic point of view it is better for Poland to have Germany in constant civil war between muslims and Germans than 100% muslim Germany taken over by Turks, African and Middle-easterners. So I would rather see you opposing them while you can. It would gives us more time to prepare.

There's a better solution: we just simply won't keep our borders wide open for millions of illegals from Africa and Middle East like Germany did.

Simple solution, yet too complicated for Germans.

Also, we've got 2 million Ukrainians working on temporary visas in Poland. The main advantage of them over muslims is that they came to Poland to work and not to sponge on welfare state. And also they can be send back at any time since they need to renew work visas every 6 months/one year. I guess Poland is not so unappealing to any immigrants, is it?
