News / Presidential elections 2020 - your opinions about campaign, candidates [2223]

No, I didn't. Grzegorz Braun is a fearsome opponent who pushed PiS on many levels and has forced Kaczynski to publicly explain himself about "Just 447". He has also forced PiS to change their political decisions and to remove SLD chairman from the parliamentary commision d/s social politics. Just a single G.Braun counts for 10 MEPs

Meanwhile Kosiniak-Kamysz is talking about 1000+ for students now...Smells of populism....

They are desperate. No one will beat PiS in populism :-) And they are also not reliable to Polish voters on this field. So far they are dancing to PiS music

I have to give that to Kaczynski that he is a few levels above POKO-SLD-PSL "political elites". At least Tusk was a some kind of political opponent. Budka, Kidawa and the rest of them are just a pitiful muppets...

News / Why is Poland so hostile against Germany? Do they realize how their reparations rubbish damages relations? [512]

Oh please! Why not say: Different race? Better race???

Same race. We're just better looking that's all ;-)

And the last decades have been good to Germany...peaceful, prospering, stable...

Yes, the old order has benefited Western Germany greatly. Most Germans have probably started to think that it was a natural order of things and they deserved it as their "natural right". Yet it was achieved thanks to a dominant political position in continental Europe which derived from a solid economical power built by a few decades of capitalism, safety and stability provided by the US and a Marschall plan as well. Now the times are changing and politico-economical order in Europe will also change.

Spike would never work together with german nationalists to make both countries better and stronger....he would rather cut his hand off!

I would if it benefited Poland. The thing is that there's a conflict of interest between our countries and things which would benefit Germany doesn't usually benefit Poland and vice versa.

I would also be very selective and careful in choosing those groups to be sure that they are not neo-nazi sympathizers or supporters.

That ultimately takes him out of the race then

He will take a part in a race and gather much needed support in the process. He is one of the faces of Konfederacja and the media exposure during the elections will later benefit his political party.

The main goal is to normalize right-wing spectrum of a political scene in Poland. Many people still hold some outdated views of a Polish Nationalism and Conservatism. K.Bosak is a young, modern and eloquent face of a National Movement.

On this forum, clowns like Dirk diggler, Rich Mazur, NoToForeigners (also known as Snotty), Ironside and Spike33 satisfy your definition of a nationalist, I think

@Ziemowit, Is this opinion based on facts ie. my opinions shared in posts which we could discuss, or just your personal emotional insinuations?

Of course...only other country's nationalism stinks...your own smells like rose petals...suuuuuure!

Polish nationalism did not start two World Wars (out of 2 in total) and haven't created holocaust. As simple as that. There are more differences but I think those two are vivid enough. Judge them by their fruits

Of course, if KK gets to the second stage, he wiil get all needed support. Don`t worry about it.

Catch 22. He will not get to a second stage without a support before 1st stage. So I think the second ballot will be between A.Duda and Kidawa "promter" Blonska

In the same way that you claimed he was educated

He is an educated man without a formal degree.

Have you seen any of his debates?

I think @delphiandomine prefer a "first-hand" Onet opinions ;-)

News / POKO and LGBT lobby is trying to sexualize children in Poland. Now they aim for adoption [120]

French towns suspend twin cooperation with Polish towns which have adopted LGBT-free policy.

They've adopted the laws protecting kids from an aggressive LGBT propaganda? Good news then

chronic inability to see the consequences of their actions.

No. It's a long term thinking about a well-being of the whole Polish society

Btw Spike- what are you making of Bosak's non existence at the moment?

It would be lack of substantial funds to run a large scale campaign and a soft ban on Konfederacja in public media.

Konfederacja will get as little air time on public media as it is legally possible. K.Bosak is very difficult debate partner because he is always well prepared and not possible to unnerve him in discussion. He is also the only full-blooded conservative standing on the right side from PiS.

Yet again, you're repeating what PiS are trying to claim

I'm not repeating after someone but making my own judgement based on a state of a collective Polish soul :-). This is something you probably would not understand. Just put a trust in my judgement based on my past predictions of 2019 Parliamentary elections, rise of Konfederacja and Independence March in 2018...

This is exactly my point: Duda only had to beat Komorowski. Now he has to deal with Kidawa-Błońska

Kidawa-Blonska is a Komorowski in skirt. Same level of competence and political judgement. She only looks better on photos. She is the most convenient political opponent for Duda in the second ballot.

If Kosiniak-Kamysz wins among the rural middle classes

Kosianiak-Kamysz would stand a chance against Duda if he had a support from PO and Leftists. But right now PO would not let PSL to rise as a political competition. And Lewica promotes a man whose main "political quality" is being homosexual...

Duda got another hostile reception today in Łowicz

If there's something that Poles don't like in politics the most it is an uncontrollable public verbal aggression of politicians and groups which support them. It is not a sign of strenght of opposition but of weakness.

I'm certain of victory of A. Duda for 95%. I reserve 5% for an occasion in which Duda would punch a cheerful toddler in front of the TVN cameras :-)

And we won. We Germans and you poles under the leadership of a polish king.

Poles and Polish is written with capital letter. This low key German arrogance is why you're dissed in Europe.

My next example may cure you: A Prussian Homage

"As a symbol of vassalage, Albert received a standard with the Prussian coat of arms from the Polish king. The black Prussian eagle on the flag was augmented with a letter "S" (for Sigismundus) and had a crown placed around its neck as a symbol of submission to Poland."

I believe you should give up on your german hatred and move on.

Look who's talking :-D

It's a sad historical fact not hatred. Name one positive intereaction between Poland and Germany except after the year 1989

ajerkoniak, hohsztapler, majstersztyk, wihajster, urlop, fajerwerki, szyld, ratusz, szacować, warsztat

And let's not forget folksdojcz and szpicel :-P

No doubt the Polish partitions benefited Prussia

It's also worth mentioning that Poland has created Prussia. A new Prussia that is, because old genuine Prussians were slaughtered by Teutons. It was Konrad of Mazovia has invited Teotonic order to Poland and that was one of the biggest mistakes in our history. I stand by my opinion that nothing good ever came to us from Germany.

That said, whenever you start feeling proud of "being of prussian" heritage remember that we've made you.

De facto, Spike31?

And de jure as well

"Foreign armies are still based on German soil and Europe's largest and most prosperous "democracy" still lacks a constitution and a peace treaty putting a formal end to the Second World War. For Germany, World War II, like the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, lacks formal legal closure because a peace treaty has never been signed between the Allies and Germany."

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [372]

Russians claim that they will finish the missing 160 (out of 2500km) by the beginning of 2021. So without Swiss it will take them 15 months to do so. Some sources claim that they don't have technology to finish it at all.

worldoil.com/news/2020/2/14/us-says-sanctions-mean-russia-can-t-finish-nord-stream-2-pipeline.

This way or another, they are angry because of the delay they had to sign a new gas deal with Ukraine which they preferred to avoid.

History / Poland - problem for Germany? (historically continual hostility of German state on Poland) [154]

Well, all I can say is that I'm hoping that people who think like you would rule Germany one day and dissipate all the soft political power that Germany still possess to create more room for us to grow.

As a side note: Poland is more than twice as big trading partner of Germany than Russia. And also Poland+Czech+Hungary is by far the bigger trade partner for Germany than France, or China or the US. Shows how much you really know

News / Is NORD STREAM dangerous for Poland's natural enviroment? [372]

[moved from]

Countries like Poland and the Ukraine are also receiving Russian gas

And that's the whole point. When Russians had to transport their gas through Ukraine and Belarus they couldn't cut those countries off entirely. When/if nord stream II would be completed, Russians can send it through Nord Stream pipes and cut off Yamal pipeline and put great political and economical pressure on those countries.

The possible anschluss of Belarus by Russia would be one of possible side effects of this deal*

nytimes.com/2020/02/07/world/europe/belarus-lukashenko-russia-putin.html

Nord Stream II comes at a price of alienating Poland and Baltic states.

Poland with an LNG terminal and a Baltic Pipe project on the way will be safe from Russian threat and will also become a more natural gas supplier for V4 and 3SI countries than Germany. So you may not even achieve your goal of becoming a gas hub for Central Europe.
