Why Krowodrza? Seems pretty far away from city center and the action. What's up there?
I guess I should qualify this a bit more. I'm in my mid 20s, single, and will be working around Kazimierz. I can spend up to 3000zl a month.

Genealogy / Looking for "Ludwika Jablonska Solska" and "Jozef Solski" [6]
My great-grandparents, Ludwika and Jozef are presumed to have been born in Kalwaria Paclawska but not exactly sure when.
Jozef Solski came to the US sometime between 1908 and 1914. Ludwika probably came to the US between 1914 and 1916.
Does anyone how I can go about finding birth/marriage certificates? I've tried Ancestry.com, familysearch, & ellis island, and haven't been able to find much.

Just found a document. Jozef was born on 1883 (according to a Passenger list) and Ludwika was born on 1880 (according to 1940 US Census).
Anyone? Would certainly be willing to offer some reward money.

As an American, I found this post to be well written and rather insightful.
I agree with you it may be easier to see other cultures as a European, however it's still up to the individual to learn. You don't need to travel anywhere to pick up a book or in this case, a map.
