Life / The major religion of Poland? [33]

Non- Catholic Poles, I don't think I've ever met one. Of course their are Poles who are baptised and choose not to practice, there are Poles who are baptised and are disgruntled with the Catholic church, but a non- Catholic Pole I don't think there is such a thing.

Law / If you lose your job in Poland is it easy to claim welfare? [36]

Your rights to claim benefits, tax credits or other financial support are protected by social security arrangements between the UK and other countries in the European Economic Area (EEA). This means you may be able to get UK benefits while living abroad in certain countries.

For most benefits provided by other countries under these arrangements, you will have to have paid National Insurance (NI) contributions in the UK. Form E301 is a record of UK National Insurance contributions which may help a claim for unemployment benefit in another EU country. You can download an application form for this and other related forms using the link below.

Work / English native speaker without a teaching experience moved to Poland and got a job [66]

Teaching where?

With no qualifications or experience is it in a Callen or Direct method school? (if it is RUN) or are you teaching conversational classes?

To be a success in ESL teaching you need the two things we can't help you with and that's personality and confidence. Everything else will come with experience.

In order to really help you, you need to give more details. What type of school? what age group? will you be using a course book?, will you be responsible for creating your own resources? will the DoS create a curriculum for you to follow, will you be required to create lesson plans ect, the more details you give us the better the advise you will receive.

Real Estate / What do I need to buy a house/flat or property in Warsaw? [12]

Another good website is Gratka.pl

I live in Piaseczno just outside Warszawa, it takes me 35 min to drive into centrum, straight down Pulawska and there are some lovely houses around the Nowa Iwiczna, Nowa Wola, and Lesznowola way. I've seen some houses around the 120/150 sq feet for 325,000 Zloty mark (empty inside) I would say don't get to fixated on Warszawa and look around the borders for some great deals.
