History / What does it mean to be "Polish"? Why does Poland exist? [13]

Have you ever wondered what differentiates Poles from the other nations of the world? Why does Poland exist? What is its mission/purpose, if any? Please give appropriate and reasonable answers.

News / A Second Look at Poland's Future. [21]

Organizing ourselves in the Poland and abroad is key to making our future a success.

Last line of first post. Especially you-related. Polonia is all Poland's really got in terms of hope. With the older generations dying away. The youth has been brainwashed and assimilated to Americanism. Touché.

Clearly, you haven't watched any Polish news lately. Read a newspaper that isn't affiliated with government propaganda. Better yet, go to Poland and ask a bus driver with a master's degree in history about government. You'll know what I mean. You can't do anything with a nation that's split over key issues.

History / Which countries are Polands friends, which are Polands enemies? [75]

By annexing Eastern Europe, Russia worked in the national interest of the British. It's all about the Balance of Power. All seven of Poland's current neighbors aren't what you'd call allies. At some point in history, they all put their interests before that of Poland. Russia, Germany-Austria, Czech Republic, not really Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Sweden, etc. The list goes on. Currently, we're being used as a puppet of the U.S. to help them obtain their interests as well. I guess you could say: Hungary and Romania are our only allies in Europe and the Catholic Church serves as a unifying force in the country, so add the Vatican. Other than that, Poland's pretty much a loner.

My father told me that Warsaw was know as "the Second Paris".

News / A Second Look at Poland's Future. [21]

I have developed a keen interest in Polish politics. I was hoping that the fellow members of "Polish Forums" would be willing to share some of their concerns about the nation's future. It's pretty obvious that we're (as a nation) not going in the right direction. We need to put Poland back on track. Organizing ourselves in the Poland and abroad is key to making our future a success.

News / "Lack of Common Sense in Politics and Society" - political correctness in Poland [32]

This being a Polish forum, I don't understand why Americans, or any other nation, finds it offensive to call a Pole a "Polak". That's who they are. Black people call each other "niggas", but if you said the -n word, you'd probably get arrested. Stereotypes, shouldn't be curbed by "political correctness". Soon, you won't even be able to joke around.

Your a perfect example of "political correctness". My point was that, that is all people talk about these days. Nothing good on the news, but rape, murder, theft, shooting, etc. The list goes on and on. I'm not a "far-right winger" you ignorant hypocrite. I'm a conservative and I have some decency to express my thoughts in an inconvenient matter. You don't agree with me? Tough Love.

What happen to the good old days? We didn't have to worry about law suits against "racism", "sexism", "xenophobia", "homophobia", etc. These are important issues that should be dealt with, but they gain so much attention that they eventually become tedious. Those that defend against these actions are actually worse than those that commit the hatred. In Poland, as well as every other region of the world, politicians support "liberty", "freedom", "rights", etc., but they turn out to be the most tyrannical, racist SOBS of all. People, plain and simple, are getting dumber and dumber. They are blind to reality and can't and/or won't accept "truth", "dignity", and "common sense".

News / Coal-Powered Poland Refuses to "Go Green". EU Ain't Happy. [304]

as it stands Russia (gas) and the Middle East (oil) have the lions share.

That is slowly coming to an end, as their economies need to diversify as those resources are being depleted. Poland has been blessed by recently uncovering large amounts of shale gas. It can use this gas and greatly improve its market or it can sit on it and raise dependence on foreign imports from Russia.

gravity, which is also just a theory

Are you high? Gravity exists: "what goes up, must come down". Go back to school and read your textbook. The concept of gravity was observed and measured: roughly 9.81m/s.

@ Alliagtor - the whole idea of global warming and climate change is a scam. It's just an excuse to allow the government to have more control over our lives. Electricity prices have already risen over the summer because of the closing down of significant energy suppliers which have been privatized and sold to foreign companies (mainly the West).

Bravo! It's about time they did something intelligent. They should continue extracting "around 100 million tonnes of coal annually". They should continue to open the market for hydrolic fracturing. Poland is the 9th largest producer of coal in the world and second largest consumer in Europe after Germany. We got a market and it should stay that way. If Poland accepts the EU proposal, they would be in major debt and would never pay it back.

Genealogy / Being ashamed of Polish ancestry? [156]

I am a "second generaton" Polish person and I admit that sometimes I am embarrassed to be Polish but only because of those idiots in government and forgive me, but also the "faggots", or offspring of most first generation Americans. Excluding myself, the "faggots" are spoiled "bad eggs" that in some cases don't deserve to live. I curse my parents everyday for bringing me to this country (I was born in the US). I do however attend Polish school every Saturday and have joined a few organizations that have enlightened me of my ancestry. I am proud to be Polish, but I just hate the politicians. I travel to Poland every year to my "other families"(awesome people), and you don't get much information about what is going on in politics. But when I come back to America and turn the TV or computer to read and listen to Polish events, I have heart ache after heart ache. I read a lot of history and I have this bias for Polish events. I tell my friends that Poland has the richest history but they don't want to hear any of it. Well, much said, that's what I think.

Sorry folks but the Poles are a Nation of liars.

They built a palace called "the Sejm building" to commemorate this status quo.

News / Would Poland Be Stronger Without "The West"? [10]

I have studied geopolitics and the only way Poland can sustain itself is by having close allies. The Allied powers in WWII were incapable of helping Poland.

Poland should improve relations with its neighbors in case of EU degradation.

By neighbors, I mean members of the Visegrad Group and former (and current) Russian satellites.

Let the idiot European countries send their troops to die for dictatorships, oil and money and leave Poland out of it.

I agree. Poland should concentrate on its own problems. Believe me, there's many. The current government is completely ineffective and is a puppet of NATO.

Russia and China are unstable. I would support a Central, Southern, and Eastern European Federation, excluding Russia for later. Economic cooperation with Ukraine was attempted during PiƂsudski's administration and seemed to work. Poland should improve relations with its neighbors in case of EU degradation.

News / Would Poland Be Stronger Without "The West"? [10]

Would Poland be free to make its own decisions?
Should Poland remain within the EU? NATO? UN?
Could it profit from isolation?
Would it protect Industry?
