I would like to deport all the Muslims in the UK to Poland in exchange for another 1 million poles here if necessary.

PS I will be happy to pay my taxpayers money to send them there.

Polonia / POLES vs BULGARIANS [160]

As much as I have my gripes with unchecked Polish immigration ( small amounts of you people coming would have been fine) I much prefer you to the Romanian and Bulgarian gypsies that come to this country to scrounge, cheat and indulge in crime. Iv'e found most Polish people here to be honest and hard working ( trouble is they undercut the local populace with their cheaper labour). So in if I had a choice, if would hire a Polish labourer over a Romanian/Bulgarian anyday.

History / Communism fell 20 years ago, Poland led the fight since WW2 [339]

Soviets and their army

Yes their army won the war in the East, quite possibly would have won the whole war. Had The soviets capitulated in 1941-2 then there is no guarantee that us and the Americans would have won the war.

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

you are a bit of a Nazi?

what an offensive assumption. My grandfather was a communist who fought in Spain who I am proud of. My other grandfather died in Greece fighting the Nazis.

What an offensive thing to say.

Knowing impulsive Polish character, can you imagine the carnage that would have taken place in Poland if the nation had rebelled like Hungarians?

clearly the Soviet troops in your country (I know they did some unsavoury things but...) they were not Nazis or else there would have been a rebellion.

If Russia had not won the war on the Eastern Front then there would be no Poland today, so maybe you should be more grateful to edit

History / POLAND: EASTERN or CENTRAL European country? [1080]

That is how the mainstream media and the UN, regard you as such. if you asked people on the street here in England than 9/10 people will tell you Poland is in Eastern Europe.

Yes that's right the United Nations

History / Do you regard the Polish Communist Partizans as heroes? [36]

I'm married to a Serbian women, but yes I'm about as English as it gets.

Soviet partisans in Poland are not synonymous with Polish communists partisans.

I'm sorry I didn't realise there was a difference between The Polish communist Partizans:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armia_Ludowa

So yes, I would like to know how the 'Armia Ludow Communists' are viewed in modern Polish historiography?

P.S I just have an interest in Eastern European history during the war.

What about modern Polish historiography and about what they teach you in schools regarding the Polish Communist Partizans.

I know in Serbia the Partisans are still held in very high regard and as heroes by many.

Obviously post communist Poland's historiography would be very different than during the cold war, but I'm interesting in knowing specifically how the Polish Partizans, not the Red Army or NKVD are viewed.

History / Are Poles grateful to the Russians for winning the war? [120]

And lets remind the Russians that they were losing the war before the allies with the Americans invaded the western front.

Had Russia capitulated or signed an armistice with the Nazis in 41-22, then there is no guarantee that the allies would have won. Rommel may have won in the desert, The ailed invasion of Italy would have failed, You can't underestimate the USSR's contribution to winning the war weather you like them or not.
